That coach looks good so far!

    [MOC] Joe's Cottage

Wow, great details everywhere! I especially like how the axe head is stuck into the stud on the log - I didn't know that connection was possible!

    [MOC] 4-Wide Scale Track

Great job packing so much detail into such a small scale!

Looking good - that's a great technique for the nose!
  6. That's amazing! Great job getting lots of details while keeping the 12v style!

    Lego 10277 - Crocodile Locomotive

While I don't plan on buying the Crocodile (or any official set), I'm glad that TLG chose a visually interesting prototype. So many electric locomotives, especially modern ones, look like either boxes on wheels or airplanes with their wings cut off! But the Crocodile has a nice "old school" look, like something out of a Jules Verne novel. I hope it sells well!
  9. Brilliant use of those technic panels on the hopper!

    Custom train bogies/trucks

Studio has worked well for me...I run it on Windows 7 with no issues. There isn't much learning curve compared to LDD. They have up-to-date parts and you can import custom parts like BBB wheels.

That's amazing! It would look right at home in Admiral Dewey's fleet!

    Tables for Lego cities

I use a 4' x 4' piece of plywood painted green. Since none of my bildings are very tall, I can slide it under the guest bed to get it out of the way.

[moc] Alco/MLW C424 British Columbia Rail

That's a great looking locomotive! I think regular yellow would work fine. Back in my day, that was the only shade of yellow we had!

    7760-inspired PF Shunter

That's a nice detailed shunter in a small package! I like the color scheme and the clever power system.

Wow, I didn't know that Studio could do that - it's very effective!

    [MOC] 1930's Frisco Depot

That's amazing! How did you achieve the weathered look of the roof? A mix of old and new grey?

Standard size wheels with pin holes for rods.

If you're willing to modify Lego, you can achieve a similar result yourself without even drilling holes in the weels. I glued a short cross axle to each rear wheel of a 9v motor for my shunter. A cross axle fits where a pin doesn't, as you can angle it 45 degrees. The Kragle is strong enough that you wouldn't have to worry about it working loose over time. If you use separate wheels it should be easier than gluing onto a 9v motor.

    [MOC] BR05-001 with 7 coaches

Very impressive! The locomotive is amazing on its own, but even better with that rake of coaches!

    [MOC] LEGO PRR class GG1

Nice job on a difficult locomotive to translate into Lego! Instantly recognizable.
  24. Very nice detailing, and it all looks properly British!
