    Gondorian and Elven shields

Very beautiful!! From your text I believe the ornaments are real 3D and not printed on. The Elven ones could be a bit bigger, but I am going to buy them anyway.

    Gondorian Fountain Guard

Great, I am looking forward to it.

    Gondorian Fountain Guard

Beautiful! I dont know the original, but yours I like. Will this be commercially available? How are the Elven shields coming?
  4. The unsullied, Game of Thrones.
  5. Very nice! Love the spear. Long and without unnecessary decorations. Love the armor. Looks like it can support quivers? Reddish brown will need to be painted silver on some parts. Is there a picture of the back side? The shield looks a bit unlegoish, but fine.
  6. CCC XIII Princess Evadia on Swivt the Hippogriff No one understands how this partnership ever came to pass. Sublime, untamed, even tremendous – maybe it was these attributes that unified beast and mistress. Today, everyone who sets foot on Elven land should remember that it is not only a place for a princess to conquer the skies, but also a hippogriff's territory. And be warned, she might just a harbinger of greater things to come... CCC XIII Evadia on Swivt 1 by MWardancer, auf Flickr CCC XIII Evadia on Swivt 2 by MWardancer, auf Flickr CCC XIII Evadia on Swivt 3 by MWardancer, auf Flickr List of customization techniques 1. The Yellowification of Boobs: Chimas Eris torso has blue skin, this needed to be painted yellow. 2. The fake'o'leg'o'mount: legs sawn of, glued to hippogriff, new sides of legs printed, painted and glued on to create the illusion of legs protruding into the beast. 3. Shine bright like a diamond: Instead of the blue gem I cut off a transparent green tip of some plant and glued it to the torso. 4. The forging of the lance: It consists of a Brickwarriors torch and two spears. 5. Painting the beast: Otherwise it is just plain gray. I only painted a few areas to keep the basic color scheme. Also I used pegasus wings. 6. Breastplate sigil: The hippogriff's breastplate is cut from a Brickwarriors armor. The stag is a nailart fingernail stencil painted gold. 7. Gras into antlers: The antlers on the helmet are Brickwarriors plumes painted gray. 8. Mouting the mount: I had to cheat a little to make a round 1x1 transparent plate to stabilize the whole thing. 9. Capeow: The wonderful dark green glittery cape is custom made by "Jeddy and Daddy" productions (available on Bricklink). C&C welcome!
  7. I read they wanted to have the spear thrower on ideas. That will never get 10000 votes, it is insignificant. I can put it on MOCshop though. It would like to start real building, but it is going to be custom figs for a while. Many.
  8. In the same thread he mentions that he built a red and a blue hippogriff rider. Including spraypainting and other techniques. But the pictures are mit online anymore.
  9. Another interesting color scheme: http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9163
  10. Look what I found: http://brickbrony1894.deviantart.com/art/Lego-Silver-Quill-586013127 I like how the whole head is painted white instead of only the feathers.
  11. Unfortunately we did not make it to the orchids. Meanwhile, I have returned to Germany. I am working on a hippogriff with an armored head. It requires chopping off parts of his head though. The mighty eagle wings are not available under 25 Euros yet, so it will have to wait.
  12. Thank you! That looks very good! I hope they become available again soon.
  13. Ohh, I envy you... Thanks for the review! I Imagine they solve one big problem: mounted archers. Up to now that looked weird. Could you take a picture of a mounted archer with a longbow? Also how about mounted javelin throwers?
  14. Where could one get these? (Is that question legal here?)
  15. Wow, the bear looks super cuddly. Even Bretter than the TLG China bears.
  16. Not an Inca Term, different beak.I don't remember, so many bird names today. I am in Santa Elena right now :-) Maybe I can check out the orchids.
  17. I went birdwatching in Costa Rica today and saw a gray bird with orange/almost red beak and feet. I think this Color scheme works really well, but it puts a lot of emphasis on the beak and feet.
  18. Hmm, this is a difficult question. What I did was googling pictures of griffins and hippogriffs and then I went for white when I saw one with white feathers. With so much silver and gray you simply do not have many options. Both are 'cold' colors, so I think you cannot mix warm colors into the bird. Maybe a shade of gray that is darker than the body but lighter than the beak. there is a light gray lego horse with dark gray spots, this looks good. I dont know about mocpages, sorry. Many of the pictures I saw show gray hippogriffs with yellow beaks. This would also be an option. I would prefer dark orange I guess, yellow is associated with a minifig's skin.

    Goblin Spider Riders

AT-AT - All Terrain Arachnoid Transport Cute and dangerous! Good built, love that they carry a web.
  21. Love the weapons. The spear could be handy in steel.
  22. The rogue's torso looks like he is wearing a Brown cape, but he isnt?

Medieval Village 10193 - still worth it?

The last Hogwarts is also a very decent castle. Lots of tan and sand green. Maybe someone sells it without the figs for cheap.
  24. Thanks! Minifig hands will work if sanded down half a milimetre or so. I ordered dark red ones. I will post pictures here when I have tried.
  25. Addendum: Regular minifis hands cannot be attached to Smaugs wings, they are too wide.
