    Looking for 7708 alternate model

Built it now. *y* It's mostly sturdy, but the cockpit seems awful weak. :-/

    Looking for 7708 alternate model

Wow, those instructions really aren't clear. *n* I've been trying to make the alternate 7700 model and I can't make head nor tail of that picture. I've looked for other (fan made) instructions, which are easier to follow, but to no avail. Has anyone got any? 8-|

It's $201 and the reserve still isn't met! X-O This seller sure is a greedy bugger.

    Toy Fair 2008 exclusive

I think the current highest bid of $1.25 compared to his buy it now price of $1000 is hilarious. X-D

This is the end ... of Exo-Force

Shame, really. I like the line, and getting out the ages in '07, some of the first sets I got were the January '07 Exo-Force ones. I did get some remenats of the '06 line (7700, 7701, 7703, 7704, 7706, 7707 and 7712) and did end up putting the '07 Exo-Mechs away, while the '06 Exo-Mechs battled the total sum of two years of robot enginerring. :'-) I didn't (but hopefully will, now they're on sale at S@H) get any of the Summer '07 sets except Combat Crawler X2, which I think was money well spent. I did mean to get Areo Booster but I never got around to it. I see this year's offerings as a step above the last, and intened get all the main Mechs. Perhaps this will leave room on the shelves for other themes like Castle, which I didn't see in a single shop last year, except Argos which only had the more expensive ones. :-/

    Bionicle 2008 Images and Discussion

This years sets have not appealed to me so far. This is coming from a person who was with the line since '01, and has almost every set from '03 to '06. Since summer 2007, the sets haven't appealed to me much. Perhaps it's just me maturing and devolping a more discering taste (possible, conidering I have a full set of Kal and Hordika), but I only felt bothered enough to get three sets. Maxilos, Matoro and Hahli. Two were bought in a "buy one, get one half price sale" (Max and Mat) and Hahli singular. Maxilos was good, Matoro was alright and Hahli would've looked rather eye-catching, if not for that damned brittle lime green plastic. Same with Ehlek, but I digress. The Mahri seemed a step down from the rather marvelous Barraki, and while were all right, didn't catch my enough to actively go out to buy them. I've got a similar sitation with the Phantoka. They look nice, but they lack something and the price to piece ratio is putting me off. They've grown on me slightly, but I won't be fully sure unless I buy one, which I'm not sure I'd be bothered enoguh to do. I have a similar sentimate to the new Tahu. I'm not realy bothered about "That can't be a Kanohi Hau" or the nostalgia of it looking nothing like Tahu Mata or Nuva. The current prototype we've seen so far, and this goes for Onua too, doesn't appeal to me. :-/ Shame really, I used to love the line too. Still, bar Toa Ignika, the titans look alright.

    First Brickmaster Set of 2008

I like it. It's small and inventive. What's wrong with a different use of minfig legs?

    Hoth Base

News at 11! Shocker as LEGO Star Wars set 7666 Hoth Base has been removed from the Shop at Home website! http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=240&d=322 Looks like the "local" TRU is the only option for me now. :-/

How many battle packs have you?

Two of each of the '07 line. And hopefully the same for next year.

    I'd buy them. ;-)

New Mars Mission set found at TRU

I don't have any MM sets yet, but out of all the ones I've seen, I like this the most.

    SW Luke Skywalker Maquette review

Golly gee, Batman! That's too expensive for that, in my view.

Of all the quotes from Eurobricks they could have used, why use the one saying the Imperial Dropship was an Imperial Crapship? :-/

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?

Same, but twice. One for Episode II clones and one for Geonosian Battle Droids, Genonosians and blue Super Battle Droids.

I also have to put each peg in the way the instruction book says too. However, if they move after the set is built, I don't care what way the line in the peg is going.

But look at the size of it! It is way bigger than a battle droid!

    2008 Picture thread

Now, I haven't seen Episode II but I have seen pictures and Expanded Universe stuff on it and as far as I can tell, that Spider-Droid is horrendously underscale. But it still looks good! ;-)
  22. If it is, either his picture has been reversed or it's a new figure.

    LEGO Confessions!

Same here! E.g. All I'd need is One TIE Crawler and I could get as many Shadow Troopers as I want. But no Cralwer, no Shadow Troopers. Perhaps it's a form of ethics?

    LEGO Confessions!

I do that too. Also, I despise (maybe not that much but still...) single fig auctions, for licensed figs. This really hampers my collection of Star Wars, as I cannot just get the EpII Clone or Jango or Burnt Anakin (but I have him anyway) or Green EpIII Clones. Or the Spider-Man figs (which came out in my dark age from standard brick sets) and that annoys me as I am a huge Spider-Fan. I have to have the set it comes in. With the box. And instructions. This also applies to figs which are specific characters in LEGO made lines. Like the Piraka/Inika minifigs (but I have those now anyway) or the Castle line's Skeleton Captain, Evil Wizard or King. Also, I keep the boxes of my sets too, but this more to store them when I am done with them.
