Cool, thanks for that. I have a friend who has a 3d printer, will check to see if it will work etc.

What software would you recommend to design my own 3d stuff (as you have), and to view and print this? Or will it work with any 3d printer?

That does seem quite a reasonable amount of depth. Thanks for showing!

I think a photo of it stood on a box, with deepest position possible would help us determine if it is deep enough. Looks great so far!

Thanks for that, looks very like the real thing! :) Especially with the weight of this model, or any other large model. Also, the longer the "arm" you will be moving, the greater the forces running through the fulrcum, and hence the greater force required to run the pneumatic. Hence why hydraulics is preferred in the real world.

Hi Suffocation. I am trying to locate the bricks&pieces shop. Is it on Bricklink? Also, why is it I cannot see any of your photos, I just get these huge Brick not found jpgs instead. Makes following your posts a little difficult to see where you are coming from. I have been trying to find anyone selling the new longer Linear actuators, but so far with no look apart from lego.com itself, from whom I have ordered 2. Thanks Brian

Looks much better than the official lego version, though as someone put it in a review, the real excavator is ugly, it is not designed to be beautiful, just very efficient at its job. I like the other liebherr model showing. What is the range of movement like have the extra joint in place?

Somewhere in this very long thread there was some questions posed about the new clutch gear. Someone wanted to know how much torque they can achieve before slipping. I ahve just ordered some from Lego, and in the description on the order confirmation, it states 7.5-20 Ncm, so considerably more than the previous white clutch gear. Enjoy :) Brian

    Hi from the South

quick question. how come I see such lovely quality photos, if each photo is not allowed to be more than 100kb in size? or how do a shrink a photo so that it is a suitable size? Thanks

Lego technic building machine MOC collab

that would be quite a feat of engineering and programming, but probably doable. ?!!
