Who's Your Favorite Film Composer and/or Score?

John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone (Hollywood). A. R. Rahman (Bollywood). Joseph Koo, Raymond Wong and Tun Dan (cinema of China/Hong Kong). There are many other greats out there, to be sure. However, these are my favourites. Honourable mention must go to Nobuo Uematsu who makes every video game he touches feel like an interactive movie.

What was the last movie you watched?

What we do in the shadows is a relatively low budget mockumentary about vampires in New Zealand. It isn't the most amazing show ever, but with Jemaine Clement (flight of the conchords) and Taika Waititi (most now know him as the voice of Korg in Thor Ragnarok) you know there are some great moments. Black panther is a good movie. It is a landmark, unarguably. That said, I found it to have several glaring plotholes and scenes that perhaps were not the greatest for Black Panther or Wakanda as a whole. Which gets me a lot of flak from my friends, but it is true. Would I watch it again and/or recommend it to anyone? Absolutely. And I will say that taking Man-Ape and turning him into one most interesting characters is ****in' awesome. Totally not biased because his actor is from T&T... maybe a little biased... anyway there ye be.

    What fandoms are you in?

Warcraft (heavy emphasis on Trolls). Tolkein's works. Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain. Legend of Zelda. History/Romance of the Three Kingdoms (both the historical and fictional). Game of Thrones / ASOIAF. Dirilis Ertugrul. Elder Scrolls. Vikings. Warhammer. Pretty much any good quality fantasy/medieval fiction or non-fiction that I can lose myself in easily. Whether it is Lego, video/board games, movies, tv, books.

-Help- World of Warcraft based Diorama

Maybe start small. A pig farm in Durotar under attack by some Northwatch (or Kul Tiras if pre-Cataclysm) marines. A scene from the Valley of Trials training grunts. Or a scaled down version of the Crossroads. A trading post between Sen'jin Village and Razor Hill. Something with a couple structures to start nailing down the style. I am awful at MOC so other than spitballing ideas, I can't help too much.

You can dance if you want to!

Winner winner! To be vague, I am in Southern Ontario. To be a wee bit more specific, I have lived in Port Hope, St. Catharines, Toronto, East York, Scarborough and now finally settled (likely permanently) in Oshawa. Also, my mother would probably not forgive me if I didnt say I am not from Canada. I am from Trinidad and Tobago. Though, this summer I may be granted citizenship and could technically say from Canada at that point? It's all semantics since I consider both countries home.

We like it because of the versatility. I dont have a lot in the way of colours for things like hoods and helmets, but almost any weapon in D&D can be represented if you're sticking to fantasy. So the players will pick a figure and swap heads/torsos/legs until they find a combination they like and we're off. We use 2x2 flat pieces as a base and those fit into the grid squares quite nicely. Plus there are enough monsters and humans that we swap gnolls with weak bandits, lizardmen, trolls/orcs and we're golden. Trying to find Chima lots on the cheap to expand the visual bestiary.
  14. Greetings! I am from Trinidad and Tobago. Born and raised. Now living in Canada. You know the story. Boy goes to school in.a foreign land. Boy plans to go home after graduation but meets girl. 18 years pass and boy is now married and still in foreign land. Still go home (or to first home... admittedly Canada is home too) often. I love Lego. I am.not a huge builder, but I sure do love spinning stories for the minifigures. So much so that I use them in D&D. Anyway... that's me in a nutshell. No cool MOC or accolades. Just a guy who has managed to survive immigration and been able continue playing with Lego into his 30s.
