Even though I lost interest in HP after book 4, I think I am interested in the DS version of this game. However, I'll most likely either be trading in a couple old games to drive down the price a bit or i'll wait for a used version to be available. I did enjoy the first one and I still play it from time to time, but it was too easy. I beat the game in about 5 hours and got to 100% about an hour and a half after that. Except for about 2 hats and a character card, I had figured everything else out on my own.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion

The reason behind them selling like pancakes is probably mostly due to the vast number of people snapping them up the the box(or more) full and selling them on ebay and BL like no tomorrow(either alone, normally at a ridicilous price or by the BOX). This is probably the sole reason i've never seen a single pack in a store outside of the lego store. The lego store(probably among very few stores) I went to had a limit set on the figures. And lego may really want to think about lowering prices on products overall. A lot of the prices are getting beyond ridicilous in stores. -
Do you work out what you need before buying?
Legofan4ever88 replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
First order from BL, I got some extras. Second order(out of 2 i've done through BL), I stuck almost completely to my needs list. I did decide to get an extra 1X6 thin lift arm incase I need another one. -
How long do clearance sets stay available?
Legofan4ever88 replied to tafkatb's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Usually sale price seems to last until items are sold out. How long that'll be varies on the popularity of said item and the price. -

Does anyone know for sure what the MSRP of these are in the USA? I saw in post 649 that it's showing as 2.50 euros which is $3.62. If that' true, i think we'll have several people turned off. For me, 2.99 is the limit i'm willing to play on minifigures made of chinese plastic. There are around a dozen figures that catch my attention, but it the price tag is 3.62, I'll only persure the zookeeper figure EDIT: I'm going to drop an email to lego to get to the bottom of this issue -

Lego Master Building Academy (MBA)
Legofan4ever88 replied to Darth Jar Jar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Actually, I am interested in the first kit for the model(really interesting build) but i'm not willing to pay 30 bucks for it(20 pushing yes, 10-15 dollars YES!,30 NO). I need to find out to see how VIP points towards items work b/c maybe I can get the price down whenever I go to the lego store again if the set one kits are there. I have an active search on BL for this and 2 on eBay. -

I wish that it'd be cheaper. It seems interesting, but it's too pricey and it looks for more of the "Beginner builder" crowd. Plus 30 dollars just for the first kit of 178 pieces is a bit expensive. Unless my math is off, it's 16 cents PP -

I'm trying to make one of these: but I can't find a seller w/ the 40 tooth gears, lift arm, and tile piece I need. Help?EDIT: If I use one 40 tooth gear, is there something else I can use w/ the 6 tooth gear? I can find ONE online, but not 2 -

Has anyone bought the Lego S@H PAB Horse?
Legofan4ever88 replied to ziljin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I got a couple free from lego(asked when they were gonna be in stock since I wanted to buy a couple, got 2 free. this was b4 they came back into stock). The heads are movable. -
Is anyone else having trouble getting onto bricklink? I typed out a response to a person on the chat about the lego coin dozer i'm making and when nothing came up, i restarted the room to get things going again for me(i've done it a handful of times). I heard of brickSHELF having these issues, but not bricklink. I did run a diagonisis on the page and it showed as the site not working.

I wonder what's going on. I've been hanging out around bricklink for a handful of days at this time and it's never going down for maintence except the midnight down time.

What is the difference between old and new technic gears?
Legofan4ever88 posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm planning on building a lego coin pusher(non-mindstorms at first then will be setting it up as mindstorm run[i hope]) and when I went to look at gears on bricklink, i noticed there was some listed as "Old" and some as "New". What's the difference? Which is more sturdy? -
Sounds like someone stole the bricks out of the book.

That's nearly triple msrp. According to coin mill, 55 pounds is $87.92. MSRP is only $30

Planning on possibly buying from Brinklink for the first time ever
Legofan4ever88 replied to Legofan4ever88's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I put a lego head i'm after on the wanted list already. I'm beginning to look at different stores. I found a couple w/ series 1 skateboarders at a good price and lego series 1 wrestlers and I found a couple w/ cheap mermaid tails. I'm just waiting for the money i'm sending via paypal to get to the seller and my first order there will offically be paid for. I'm not going to do another one right away however, it is in the back of my mind. and I notice that it's quiet addictive. I'm there a lot more then EB at this time. -

After not being able to find 4X4 curve pieces(http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=47878&colorID=85) on ebay at a good price and the quanity i need(8), i've decided to venture onto BL to possibly buy something for the first time ever from the site. I know a lot about buying from eBay(bought stuff earlier this month and tracking an auction as i'm typing this.) and have bought several things(lego and non-lego), however, I have no clue to how BL works and wondering if anyone could let me know a few things: 1) How can I tell if a seller accepts paypal as a payment option? I like using paypal since it's a quick tidy process that's safe. And what about shipping costs? 2)Is there any sellers that are highly recommended or not recommended? Why? 3) Also as a note: I'd appreciate no tips that are along the lines of "Compare prices", "watch shipping costs", "see if combined shipping is offered" or "check seller ratings". i've shopped on eBay enough that these are on the top of my "to check list" when I begin looking around for more then just one item from a seller. Oh, and for those curious on why i need 8, i'm interested in making my own hot tub like the one at the Brickhouse: http://www.reasonablyclever.com/2006/10/27/10272006/ -

90 degree piece sounds like a bracket. It's commonly seen as the bumper piece on little lego racer kits.

Last time I had the BM subscription(around 1.5-2 years since it ended), they did always have special combine models. However, I can't vouch past that since I didn't sign back up since there was WAAAAAAAAAAY to many Star Wars months and I don't like the star wars theme. -
