    Nexo Knights 2016

Since the Fantasy Era map that appeared in an issue of the club magazine has once again become the subject of debate and speculation, allow me to direct you to this thread from 2009: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30163&st=50#entry526351 It took my a long time to find this information again, but I distinctly remember the excitement and subsequent disappointment regarding the Elflands drawing. I've wondered if perhaps the collectible elf minifigure that was later released was LEGO's way of tossing disappointed AFOLs a bone.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion

To me, the knight's shield looks like it could be a rhino. Never mind that a knight probably wouldn't be familiar with rhinos.

    Custom Building Instructions

Thank you for the info, guys. It gives me a better idea of what I'd be getting myself into.

    Dwarven Mining Outpost

Great work, Ingrimm! As a fan of this style of fantasy, I think you have really done a good job of capturing the dwarven spirit in this MOC. As far as the model itself goes, I'm impressed with the entrance to the mine. Excellent use of color variation.

    2012 themes and sets?

While I am a huge fan of both LOTR and Lego Castle, I'm not sure how well they would go together. My main question is how well such epic scenes such as the battle for Helm's Deep could be translated into an official set. Because we all know that Lego must work within limits as far as scale, piece count, and minifigs go.

    Custom Building Instructions

Is there any way to create custom builing instructions for my MOCs? I've been trying to research this, but have found very little outside of LDRAW, which seems highly impractical. I'm guessing that there must be a way to do it because I have seen several AFOLs selling custom sets with instructions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    REVIEW: 7948 Outpost Attack

Nice review, sir! This is a pretty great mid-sized set. The outpost isn't quite as tall as the fantasy era outpost, but it makes up for it in aesthetic quality. And despite the general disdain for catapults and similar siege engines, I find this catapult to be a beauty. It's at a good scale and has an excellent color scheme. I voted above average, but I think an extra Dragon Knight would make this outstanding.

    Pearl Light Gray Color Variations

Many thanks, Aanchir. Your information is both helpful and interesting.
  9. Hello, everyone! I have noticed significant color variation among pieces that Bricklink labels as Pearl Light Gray. These differeces have been most noticeable among shortswords, flails, spears, etc. The pieces in question are definitely several shades darker than what I believe to be normal Pearl Light Gray, but they are not Pearl Dark Gray either. I know colors can vary slightly because of different production runs, but I'm not sure if this falls into that range. Does anyone have information concerning the normal range of color variation for Pearl Light Gray? Another possibilty that I have considered is that some of the pieces may be Flat Silver, but my experience with that color is limited. Thank you, Sir Bricksalot

    Ideas for Lego Giant?

For this project, modified pieces are not an option. I'm struggling with how to build him out of bricks and still maintain realism and playability.

    Ideas for Lego Giant?

Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm looking for something on a much smaller scale. I guess the best way to describe it would be a beefed up minifig.

    Ideas for Lego Giant?

Hello! I am currently working on building a Lego giant, specifally Goliath. My intent is to build him on such a scale that he will be a giant compared to other minifigs. I have made a brick built figure, so this is a bit of a challenge for me. Does anyone know of any good techniques that could help me build this figure? Thank you!
