Thank you very much for your software, i've just tested lxf2ldr.html and it works flawless I'm creating submodels in ldd mainly as steps adding new bricks, so when transforming via your code and loading to stud.io, my model still needs some polishing of releasing the steps and creating real submodels, but its much better, then creating it from zero.     42124 Off-Road Buggy

    I was thinnking about gear ratios on back axle and couldn't figure out the gear hidden behind wheel to comply with 36 visible connected to motor on lenght of 5 studs. Will there be whe newest differential? And if I'm not mistaken, differential might not be good idea for buggy, where there is a possibility that wheels will bounce off the terrain and it might loose traction on 1 wheel limiting traction on other wheel, that actualy stays on the ground. I experimented with this on my RC version of 8048 buggy (https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-51165/klimax/8048-buggy-rc-mod/#details) and never thought putting there differential for the reason written above. Can you share digital model of this buggy? thanks
  4. I was excited when 1st picture of new 42113 set leaked, finally something different than 'car' Even the color design was ok, not to tell it's military plane. But I decided to build by own version as 42082 moc, started in first half of June and I'm about 75% done. All was based on that 1 picture and blueprints. My model should have around 2500 pieces and 6 motorized and 5 manual functions + rotation of wing to transport position not yet decided My model would be 10-15% bigger, more correct - based on dimensions of known measurements Unfortunatelly I will not have this nice rotor blades :( Right now I'm working on central gearbox I wanted to squeze behind cabin to left enough space in cargo area to be used for something different (on top of battery box) space is limited, so it's more comlicated than i actually expected Unfortunatelly i will not have enough time to finish it till end of summer due to some vacations and limited time for building. When i have seen presentation 42113 video: I can see some problems in official model: * not enough power for rotation of gondolas (clutch pins) * elevator moves in opposite direction as it should * dimensions are not 'correct' Unfortunatelly with showed function I'm not much impressed. I understand the limitation for number of parts and final price (I do not have to fulfill, i'm limited just by model 42082 pieces) All said i'll possibly buy it, mostly to compare with my variant Difficult parts of the build: * rotation of the motor gondolas without small turntables not present in 42082 set * 3D avionics handles without technic links (couldn't make it in one, so I used 2 'driving sticks' on top of the rear part of model) * gearbox (in progress) * transfer 3 functions from airplane body to wings still with option to rotate wings (rotor function will be available always. Flaps and gondola rotation will be 'connected' outside the turn-table via gears and will work only if wing is in standard flyable position) functions (function not available in official 42113 set writen in bold): motorized: * rotors + V4 engines (I know, that there should be radial engines, but at least something than nothing) * landing gear (linear actuators) * inclination of gondolas * cargo door bay * rotation of wing manual: * side doors on right side * avionics - rudder, elevator (correct way), flaps * colapsible rotor blades (only for liftarms, but compatible with new rotor blades) * rope with hook + Easy to replace battery box + Color design: body + rotor gondolas in BLACK; wings + bodytop + avionics in RED Any sugestions are welcome! thank you some pictures (more pictures on bricksafe):
  5. Little update on building the 3d model. Gearbox is ready, but providing only 5 functions All functions are working fine, i just needed to slow gear movement a little bit, so it's not so quick, with exception of rotors rotation, which should be quick I spend at least 3 weeks tuning the gearbox and all connected gears and axles, to squeez it inside the plane body, which wasn't easy (and i was not able to fit there the 6th function unfortunately - so reel with hook would need to be operated manually) one win is is allready connected to plane body

Hello, best would be, if you'll follow me on rebrickable, so you will be notified by email about any new moc I come with ;) I had some vacations (and also some ahead of me) so the progress is slow. I have finished the 'gearbox', i'm starting thorough testing with connected wing I have to find if some speeds aren't too slow or too fast and maybe introduce clutch pins to rotor blades rotation Unfortunatelly i couldn't squeeze intended 6 motorized functions, so only 5 are there (rotor blades, landing gear, wing rotation, gondalas inclination, cargo bay door) Not sure if i'd implement rope with hook as manual function - space is there wing with gondolas and tail with active avionic surfaces isn't modeled in 3d yet, but are allready built and tested ;) (see previous post) I have allready seen instructions for canceled official model - I've taken totally different approach of leaving as much as i can cargo space free, possibly building some smaller model of car inside it my gearbox is positioned horizontally under the wing right behind the cabin the only thing I might borrow from official model is the function of upper part cargo bay door opening in oposite direction as the lower ones - this is really ingenious function I hope to finish the model in 2-3 weeks, and then will come some time for test builds and instruction making - it maybe take also a month to finish

I came with the question, if there is any tractor, that is strictly battery powered - everyone is thinking ECO these days. Right now it doesn't exist, but there are some studies of how it should work. My idea came like this: windmill has integrated battery storage and acumulates energy thorough the day. For every night tractor connects to it to recharge. There is also aditional diesel motor. I always liked 42054, but it was released in my dark days, when I wasn't interested in lego. This model is so good, that's almost impossible to get it 3 years after it's release date, and noone is selling it in second-hand market. So I decided to build it from newer set. Funny think though, once finished this moc and prepared for shooting video I found it for good price on aftermarket, so now I have original and alternate ;) It took me about 2.5 months to finish this creation.
  10. Yes, I was also surprised what all can be done with simple and limited set, that has only several gears to work with. It's just about some out-of-the-box thinking @Tomik build nice helicopter out of this set.

So wanted me to build real plane. I started small model in size of these 2 models, but soon decided to add more than rotating propeller so the model got bigger and bigger introducing functions. With size of almost as big as Prop Plane (old technic set from 1988) I could not fit every driving controller to pilots position and it was really hard to manipulate it by child, so I decided to move it outside the model. I strugled with making retracting landing gear operated from cabin and still moving engine pistons and propeller and at this point I remembered, that the lego technic allready has some really similar and newer set. I actually build almost the same model introducing 1 function on top of it. I just have to flip elevator moving direction. Floats was then easy, because pieces needed for them were stil available. I was not happy with color combination so rebuilded the model several times. Even finished model isn't much color pleasing :( but it's the best I could afford from available pieces.
  12. I have still 3 ideas in my drawer for 42077, but recently got 42082 Rough Terrain Crane set, so decided to move my building experience to bigger models as I have list of 8 ideas what to do next from this model :)

It should work as clearly visible demonstration of gearbox. Rotor can be positioned in 90degrees. 135 steps of instructions from bricklink stud.io in freemium scheme created by B4 (Niklas Mücke) - You can either buy this instructions on rebrickable to appraise our work and keep this site running based on provisions - Or you can freely download LXF file from bricksafe and try to build it based on 3d model (you need to open it in developer mode!)

    42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey

    I'm implementing rotation of a wing in my moc, but i don't think it would be possible in core 42113 model. You need to transfer at least 2 functions (rotors + gondola inclination ( + I'm transfering also flaps)) throught turntable (which is possible, but not in small horizontal space) Also the gearbox is mostly built in the central part under wings, so you would need to move it much lower Non-military version doesn't come with this retractable wings

  19. So after whole operation buwizz battery is back in business and working flawlessly drsrvs: many thanks for sharing workaround I overheated it when driving my Trophy Truck MOC in configuration of 2x Buggy motors (cheaper china monster motors) + servo motor
  20. This gives me hope, based on this comment i decided to open battery. After unscrewing all 4 screws i had to depart light and dark grey part, that were tightly glued together. Insides looks without burn or anything bad, so i'll try to solder one of battery wires from mainboard. If i'll solve the issue i woud think, for the future, to implement there some small switch accessible from outside of the box, ideally in the top center space let's see drsrvs thanks for sharing your workaround
  21. yes, that's why i didn't want to buy Buwizz at the beginning I wanted hardware controller mainly for my children, even I don't like to controll it just on display on the phone without any harware feedback (buttons, joystick, etc.) I'm using cheep android/ios bluetooth controller by ipega http://ipega.hk/gamehandle.html
  22. I had CaDA battery and hardware controller for 3/4 year before I destroyed it. In general it can connect 4 motors and all working together, but you need to avoid changing direction in rapid manner. I burned out it when using in my Trophy Truck moc in configuration with 2 buggy motors (actually cheaper china monster motors) and servo once rapidly reversing direction of a car. Right now it is not working at all. I bought 2 Buwizz batteries (for 4x the price of CaDA) but i'm really happy with it. It can be used with BrickController2 app with hardware bluetooth controller, which was something I was looking for, because i hate operating mocs from mobile phone
