Hi everybody, Just wanted to share this with the community. My wife and I are having our second child this fall and wanted to make the announcement something special to us. I am trying to imitate the cartoony look of dust being thrown up when a figure runs fast. Something like the old speedy Gonzales cartoons. I have done a bit of searching but haven't found any good lego examples of this so far. I have attached an example of what I have right now but I don't have a solid connection. Does anyone have another example of imitating this or ideas for a solid connection? Thanks

Hello everybody, I just had to post this because I was so excited. My family and I just finished sorting what we estimate to be around 600,000 bricks by color last night! We started in January when we purchased another collection and decided it was time to get everything in order. I have been spending 2-5 hours a night sorting parts out parts almost every single day. It was such a relief to finish the final bin of tiny parts last night. Now of course the urge to start sorting by style is taking hold...wish me luck.

This is a great looking set imo and I'am very excited to get my hands on them. We are still debating but I think this will be the first series that we buy a whole box instead of just feeling the packs up. I can't miss out on the police figure! Now I just have to do the research on where the best place to buy a case in the US is.

I had to share/brag about a great find at the local antique mall. Down in the basement in a back corner I came across a bunch of old Lego boxes mark for 3-8$. The best finds in the stash were set 6083 knights tournament in a fairly decent box with all the parts as well as set 6077 knights procession for 3$. I opened the box and there are almost two complete sets inside! Other boxed sets I got ahold of are 6930, 6062, 6928, 517, 310, and then a number of no box first line space sets. The figs are all in mint condition with nice stiff joints. They include 487 the space cruiser and 483 alpha 1rocket base. The translucent bricks are all in incredibly clear shape, no scratches at all. All together I spent 150$ for what could be resold for much much more. The collector in me though is probably gonna proudly display these!

How powerful is the winch motor?

I would like to voice my love of the most humble of the Monster Fighters sets, The Swamp Creature. Yes the main draw of the set was the minifigs, but I was pleasantly suprised by the boat and the camp site parts as well. The figures are top notch, I'am having a hard time putting them down. They have a ton of character that draw you in and says "Play with me! Fight with me! Make goofy sounds with me!". Having a rather large collection I have not gotten that feeling in a long time. The build of the boat and camp site were also very nice. Sure there isnt much to them but you get two solid builds, the boat is very swooshable and the camp site gives a nice homey feeling. Both had a nice selection of parts in colors we dont see very often. If anything the set is a great parts pack for a reasonable price. I'am very excited to get my hands on some more of this set alone, as well as the rest of the line.

I was unable to find a topic about this so I thought it safe to ask about it. My family will be moving from South Dakota to Kauai in Hawaii soon and i'm looking for tips on getting our Lego collection to our new home. Has anyone had experience with shipping their collection? If you have let me know. Thank you!
