  1. @Milan my apologies, but this has to be frontpaged :D It looks amazing, @gnat_bricks! I love the chassis details and the tail lights. Any chance for instruction? :>
  2. I do also wonder about that. I am not gonna lie, I am tempted to try CaDa's theme. What is making me cautious is that I do have a few (hehe) Lego themes that I am collecting in full (Speed Champions, Modulars, 1:8 cars, Star Wars helmets) and getting another "theme" from non-Lego brand is hard to choose. F1 seems to be a great thing but it is huge. However I do see a potential there as Lego lacks a lot, but I tend to try to mix both worlds (mostly pollute Lego with CaDa's parts like tires) however I am still on the verge. I have tons of Lego pins so CaDa may not deliver them at all (if in the same colours) but what I am "worried" is that CaDa will not be so future proof. Lego is softer, thus bending easier but after years on the shelves it does not break. Will CaDa be the same? Nobody knows yet, I believe. But if someone do, let me know! :) Competitions is always welcomed.
  3. @Lego Tom: I am not even sure how you were able to bent that liftarm so much :P @efferman should see it :D
  4. Well, this is a no for me. Did not buy first one, will not buy that one. They are so far, far from the ~2000's if we compare what Lego could do back then and now. However I do welcome new tires, always :D
  5. I have to say I cannot wait for the whole Space theme. Time to get Perseverance too x)
  6. Amazing model, but only as a curiosity. Cost of buwizz partz alone, with current sale, is ~420 euro witout tax (so around 500 euro with ~20% VAT) - this disqualify this from making it to have fun... It is always nice to see :) PS. I think I will stay with my modified Buggy which may only goes ~9-10km/h but at least was much cheaper :D

    LEGO #21344 - Orient Express

I just wish they would sell the coaches separately.. :)

    LEGO #21344 - Orient Express

I do hope for a heavy discount next year, let's say ~60% RRP. This way I would not feel so bad for the loco ;)
  9. With all due respect @brunojj1 but the way you are replying to people who mention anything except praising CADA is making me less and less interested in that brand. You are very unpleasant and I do hope that you either change, or CADA will release you from being "face" of their company here.
  10. I would say, ditch the Lego instruction and go with Pimp my Ferrari from @jb70 on rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-121753/jb70/42143-pimp-up-my-ferrari/#details You will get much, much better experience and it will be something worth to show. If you do not have any parts for this version in your inventory, the whole cost is low anyway.
  11. I think, @Milan, this deserves frontpage :P Amazing mod! I am already collecting the parts from my inventory (I did disassemble the set long time ago :D).
  12. @brunojj1 of course, Lego get more expensive too. Situation, as of now, is that you can buy most of the sets for 50-65% of RRP without any issues. With Cada I believe it is similar. However, as I did mention - we will see in few years if Cada do not "stall" - if people are willing to make MOC's out of one set (alternates) and this become popular, they have a great chance to successfully compete with Lego as long as they will be much cheaper. Hell, even I will risk buying it, having over few thousands of spare pins from Lego to replace the Cada's one where it is needed. However with Lego I know that someone will make a great MOC, I know that someone will improve them - with Cada they are mostly "perfected" by designers like you, which is a great and a bad thing at the same time. Time will tell. I do cross my fingers for Cada to became a great Lego competitor, fair and square. Lego needs it. We need it.
  13. Guys, I get it. Still, this will take a few years - if there will be enough people to buy their products and make them better, this have a future. However Cada is getting more and more expensive and in a year or two this will have a big impact on the decision making of their customers.
  14. I do follow this thread really often. What I see, and I am happy about - Lego has a competitor who is better and better. But also more expensive with time. What I do see as well is that, a big advantage for Lego, due to the pieces which Cada makes just for a specific models they will not be so popular in a long run. It is difficult to build something different out of the model made by them and let's be honest - not everyone do have unlimited space for display models. With Lego you can always rebuild it to something else, often much better than original, using the same parts. Will this happen to Cada models? I doubt, but maybe I am wrong.
  15. I do not comment to often, but this is just amazing. Definitely on my list to do, added on rebrickable :) Thank you!
  16. I do not know why it is so difficult for Lego to create combined set - remote control + pneumatic. If they are increasing the price any way, they could go fully complicated from time to time. I would kill for a nice model which can drive and also has a pneumatic - it does not have to be big. Still 42043 is far superior and I wish for a newer one.
  17. @Aleh you are reporting chargeback to your bank, always - never directly to Visa/MC/etc..
  18. So @agena - it is a "common" scam lately -> someone is buying something original. Then is making a return because of "damaged box" but is sending back the fake. Really often, as I see you did buy this as a used/opened set (amazon warehouse sticker), employees are not aware of that and they are refunding the money to the scammer. Just report it to Amazon with pictures, you will get money back with no problem, Amazon does not play chicken while it is about the refunds. @Aleh actually, chargeback is working really well. Visa/Mastercard are helping you when the store/seller are making problems. I know because I did use it a few times already from different reasons. The only thing which Visa/Mastercard (I am not sure how it works with amex or different issuers) requires is the proof (mails, pictures) that you did try to resolve the dispute with store/seller and you are reaching out for chargeback as a last resource. Works like charm :)
  19. @Lidar can you be so kind and add some pictures of the assembly or the whole mechanism? Thank you! :)
  20. That is beautiful... @grohl, @allanp - I would say it is worth to create a separate topic with that post (copy it) and close it right after front paging (with a link to this thread for comments). Is it not possible? :)
  21. According to: 680$... xD I am sorry, I have no idea how to comment on this. I have no idea how many hubs, engines and new pieces it would have to have for me to even consider buying this for more than ~50% of RRP.

10317 Land Rover Classic Defender Discussion

I would not be afraid -> like Optimus, this will go really fast down the hill with it's price when it hits the shelves of the retailers other than Lego. Do not know how in Czech, but in Poland you can get Optimus for ~420 PLN (~90 euro) from time to time and for ~100 normally. I expect this to be available for ~160-170 euro fast. Maybe even lower, depends on the initial price from Lego.
  23. I have to say.. this makes me to buy both sets. If I grab them for a nice price, you will see one more sold instruction on rebrickable. Amazing.
  24. @Zerobricks the answer is pretty easy -> one piece instead of many = more rigid and sturdy. Plus I assume they will really do the 1:12 series a thing and each year we will get one of them - 1:8 and 1:12, so the new piece will be used more. EDIT: 1:12 not 1:10.. I knew I did not write it as it should be :D
