I don’t know if you guys saw the new Blacksmith figures, but one of the knights has the perfect hairpiece for a HBP/DH Draco Malfoy. Would love to see it in the upcoming HP wave.

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

I say this as a very casual Ninjago fan who only owns Ninjago City, Ninjago Gardens is incredible! I think Docks really played it too safe and that’s why I didn’t buy it where Gardens definitely has its own identity. Always a big sucker for Lego tree builds so it’s nice seeing them dominate this addition. Really can’t wait to see the back of this beast. Personally I’m fine with the minifig selection since I don’t have a bunch of these mini figs but I do get the disappointment from the hardcore Ninjago fans. Definitely going to pick this up for my birthday!

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

I think from the few pixels I can make out, it’s definitely decent. My only gripe is the teal it reminds me too much of the Lego Movie 2 sets with that futuristic retro wave type vibe. But I think it should overall be a promising edition and you can never go wrong with 20 mini figs.

Yeah Durmstrang Ship really isn’t a necessity imo but they did do Beauxbatons Carriage and that was a really nice set. Nobody ever talks about the maze and nothing really goes on in it, and the Rise of Voldemort covered the climax of the GoF extremely well for $20. All I want from that movie is the Second Task and it wouldn’t even have to be a big set. It could easily be in the $60 range with a pier build and the seaweed stalks. Toss in Shark Krum, Gilly Harry, Gabriella, Ron, Hermione, and a couple mermaids and you’re all set. The second task, Gringott’s, Chamber of Secrets, and a PS Hogwarts extension that covers the climax of that film is all I really want from Lego HP at this point. Oh and some more Lockhart variants won’t hurt either ?

They look really nice and I love how you can just connect three of side by side like that. As much as I love them, I’m probably not going to pick them up, due to my current spacing constraints.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

I’m not convinced that the $250 set is Gringott’s because Gringott’s alone wouldn’t need that many pieces in the current scale and if it came with other buildings, it wouldn’t be enough stores to keep the 2 darker buildings, 1 bright pattern going. Combine this with Bevins info on two separate extensions, I think the $130 set will be Gringott’s to keep it affordable while the $250 will be Leaky Cauldron/Borgin & Burkes as one baseplate, and Madame Maxine and Eeylops as the other baseplate since the images I’ve seen, they both share a purple exterior. These would reserve the more obscure shops to the hardcore fans who are willing to shell out while appeasing casuals who just want Gringott’s. The $110 will probably be the Bell Towers and the rest is fruitless to speculate on since they can do sets on any of the 8 films. Really great that leak season has started so soon.

Yeah I’m hoping it isn’t just DA and that maybe a Borgin and Burkes or Leaky Cauldron is in there as well. $250 is more than half of DA, and while Gringotts is one of the bigger buildings, it shouldn’t be more than half of DA big. Personally as is rn, DA is in my top 5 favorite sets but with Gringott’s can definitely knock the Ewok Village from first.

Sweet thanks for clarifying and thanks for the leak! Was worried for a moment that my wallet would have to endure a second wave as this one is a monster.

So are all these sets dropping in Winter?
  11. I’m hoping for 4-5, but I’m not holding my breath. The Soulless One being $80 had 3 minifigs and the Night Buzzard was $70 and also had 3 minifigs, so I’m keeping my expectations in check. I really don’t like this new trend of less figures, but it is what is. Just hoping for something new like an Endor Luke.

Just looking at the QQS color swaps, I still think the Pink looks best and makes the set look more balanced. The pink looks much better irl as well, the pictures don’t do it justice. The WWW sticks out like a sore thumb without the pink, and really doesn’t look like a part of set. Also the red contrasts with the pink the best. I feel like people will start warming up to the pink once Gringott’s gets added, which would be another bright set to balance it out on the left. I think Legos plan was to put two drab buildings in between each of the brighter buildings to create cohesion.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

From what I can make out, these sets look much been than I was anticipating. Might pick up the Ravenclaw pack, not only because I’m a Ravenclaw but for the new Choo and the Flitwick and try to incorporate into the empty portions of the Great Hall tower, since it’s the more PS based portion of the classroom.
  14. Imperial Shuttle looks so good for $80, really happy the way that came out, considering that the 2018 X Wing was the same price, you just get so much more. I might pick this up if the figures are good, can’t go wrong at that price. X Wing for $50 also looks fantastic, I have the 2018 version so I have no need to pick it up. I think the Tie is the worst of the bunch, but it’s still a good deal for $40. These sets really remind me of the sets of old, instead of obsessing over every detail which should be reserved for UCS sets, they get the general idea and are affordable.

I’m really hoping for some sets from the earlier movies, not to keen on DH sets really besides Gringott’s. It’s a good movie but nothing visually appealing to make an intriguing set or many interesting minifigs outside of Narcissa. Fingers crossed for a Second Task or a Chamber of Secrets.

Mike Zeroh only gets shielded because of the fandom menace and his clickbait titles that work the algorithm. As much as I can’t stand the fandom menace, they stick together extremely well and that’s why it seems like he gets off free. Now there are legit concerns about the ST, personally I’m kinda in the middle, but these guys just run on pure anger and YouTubers capitalize on it, because much like politics, everybody just wants to bask in their echo chamber and worship the EU which was way worst than the ST even if it had its bright spots (Legacy). People want to hear that they are right, not the actual truth.Outside that bubble, everybody know Zeroh is hack. And I don’t think this hive mind thankfully exists in the Lego community which has been so great as a whole, so Bevin will lose his credibility much quicker if he is wrong.

January Totally get the skepticism, but he does have a solid following, it’s not like he just made an account like a certain someone. And there’s always some sets that fly under the radar like the the Knight Bus or the Hogwarts Express. Personally I’m more inclined to believe it than normal.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

I don’t know how reliable this guy or his source is but Bevin’s Bricks has said that Gringott’s and an additional DA add on will be releasing on the first of next year. Exciting news if true.
  19. Any word on if there will be double points in November like last year?
  20. Depends on the set really. Like I went to pick up the UCS Falcon and it sold out very quickly and there was a long line outside the Lego Store at opening. Betrayal At Cloud City and Imperial Star Destroyer I went a couple hours later and there were still plenty in stock. The most recent one I went to was to pick up Diagon Alley, long line right before opening but there was plenty of stock thankfully. So my prediction judging my the optimistic reaction of the Cantina, is that they’ll be a good line at opening but I think Lego will be stocked pretty well, knowing that everyone is stuck at home and want something to do.
  21. I’m very curious to see how they do the Imperial Shuttle at $80. Might pick it up if it’s decent and has good minifigs. Is this wave disappointing? Definitely so when it comes in regards to set selection. But there are some positives. With smaller waves, it becomes so much easier to collect and with lower prices, it’s going to be even better. I’ve always believed that Lego put too much details in the system scale sets, in the builds and minifigs alike, so I’m glad to see more of a difference between system and UCS sets. These aren’t black series, screen accurate props it’s Lego and that form is what makes it fun. That’s what I liked about the 2006 style sets so I’m glad the old way of thinking is back.

I’m not too excited about these personally, especially another Potions classroom which will mark its third appearance. We already have the Greenhouse so there’s no need for Herbology either especially when Sprout comes in the CMF. I do want to get my hands on PS Flitwick but I’ll just BrickLink him. Kinda would of liked to see an Umbridge’s Office which still baffles me why it wasn’t in the Astronomy Tower or a Divination classroom. I’d even take a remake of the DADA classroom so it’s based on Lockhart and Lupin’s version. I’ll probably skip but I’ll wait to see pics to give a final verdict.
  23. When the set was released it wasn’t even classified as a mosque then, it was a museum so the religious excuse is such a sham. Hagía Sofia only became a mosque earlier this year. That’s like calling the Taj Mahal racist because it resembles Indian architecture when it’s just being accurate to its source which drew on middle eastern influences. Turkey only cites Hagía Sofia as a mosque when it wants to feel faux offended, when they want to offend others like the Greeks, or when they pride themselves on their checkered past of genocide. Really aggravates me that weren’t not going to see a Jabba’s Palace set because of this. I just want to see my favorite scene in Lego again.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

For the topic of the Bell Towers, personally I’m not too interested in such a set. The architecture of both the Clock Tower and Astronomy Tower is far more interesting and there really isn’t room for it on either the official Lego layout or the StoneWars layout and I’m not going to take out any other additions to make room for it. The interior potential isn’t that great either and I would much rather have a Cos Chamber of Secrets rather than a DH Chamber for obvious reasons. The only way I would buy another Hogwarts extension is if it was a Chamber of Secrets with a Slytherin Common Room, Girls Bathroom and that hall way with the blood or a set from the tasks in PS with the devil snare room and the winged keys. On second thought, it just reminds me how much room they wasted in the Great Hall Tower portion of the set. The set I’m most hyped about next year is Gringott’s, really loving the DA build so more of that is always welcome. And a Borgin and Burkes would be nice too, even though I was initially against its inclusion.
