    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

This set would likely lose my interest quickly if it isn't comic based. A Keaton Batcave would be neat at a $100-150 price point, but there isn't nearly as much that could be included to fill out a $450 set of that Batcave. Heck, I'm not 100% certain if I'll buy the set even if it's comic based at this point with all the other D2C sets coming out this year.

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Muldoon is very likely turning up for the Velociraptor set, but I am a bit disappointed that him and Wu might be the only JP93 minifigures in this wave that we didn't already get in a previous set. Gennaro and Dr. Harding should have been included too. I'm hoping that the second minifigure in the Velociraptor set is Gennaro, or at least a generic park worker. Basically anything other than another Alan Grant.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

So it seems like overall, Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Joker, Harley Quinn and Penguin are the characters most likely capable of being repeated for the Batcave, as they were available in 2021-2022 sets (or magazines in the case of Robin). I'd hope they held onto the 2020 Nightwing to still be usable, as I'd be disappointed if they had to use part of their new print budget on him, unless it was a drastically different design like his classic costume. If they include Catwoman, I'd similarly hope that the 2019 one is still usable, to avoid another arguably wasted new printing slot. Alfred should only need a couple new prints if they do something similar to the aforementioned LDCSV game version (though probably without leg printing) I predict we'll see Red Hood, who will definitely need new prints after a seven year absence, though I still think the recent comic design that Spin Master used for their figure line could be a decent choice to get something distinct from the 2016 minifigure. I'd be surprised if we didn't get Tim Drake, and getting a Red Robin variation of him would be worth using a couple new prints for. Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Cain, and Azrael would be my top picks for completely new Bat-Family characters. Civilian variants of some Bat-Family members would be neat to get, though I don't think I'd want LEGO to use the new print budget on them, and I wouldn't be too bothered if they were absent altogether. My top picks for revamped villains: Black and white suit Two-Face, Vidiyo slime head Clayface, and 2021 bigfig mold Bane. My top picks for completely new villains: Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist, Hush, and Black Mask. My hope is that they have a larger new print budget than the Bugle (maybe even somewhat close to Rivendell's if we're lucky) and make the most of the minifigure selection with this set, unless they plan on being more consistent with comic Batman sets going forward. It'd be disappointing if we don't get any new villains (For me, one of the biggest downfalls of the Daily Bugle was that unless you count Black Cat as a villain, every villain included was one we'd gotten previously)

A look on Brickset indicates that Robin was included with magazines in 2021-2022, and probably has a good chance of still being available to reuse as well.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure the latest Marvel wave brought back the same Outrider minifigure prints that were last seen in 2019, so I definitely wouldn't rule out minifigures from about that far back being reused, especially considering LEGO presumably started working on the D2C a few years ago.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm guessing: Batman, Robin (Damian), Alfred, Nightwing, Barbara Gordon as either Batgirl or Oracle, Red Hood, Red Robin (Tim Drake), hopefully some new characters like Azrael, Spoiler, and a version of Cassandra Cain, probably some number of civilian variants of the Bat-Family, I could also see Lucius Fox being included. For villains, Joker and Harley seem very likely. A repeat of the 2019 Catwoman would probably be worth including, looking at it's current online prices. I'd like to see any of the following included: Two-Face (black and white suit), Bane with the 2021 bigfig mold, minifigure Clayface with Vidiyo slime head, Mad Hatter, Hush, Ventriloquist, Black Mask

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm guessing we'll get a bigfig Bane and/or molded T-Rex to explain the higher price per piece. I'm really hoping we get at least a few new Bat-Family members. There should be some villain presence, whether it be framed as an attack on the Batcave like previous sets or include some sort of training simulation room to justify it. I just want to see something new for the villains. I'd probably be happy just to get accessories like Mad Hatter's hat or Scarface if it meant making purist customs would be easier.

    Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm hoping that LEGO is only scrapping this particular set design, and is still willing to release another Temple of Doom set later on.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Hopefully. I would assume that Super Heroes has the highest chance of being the poll winner, unless I'm vastly underestimating how much people want D2C info for Icons and Ideas/Architecture.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

A Diagon Alley-style Gotham set does sound like a neat idea, though we also know that the Batman D2C has about 1600 pieces less than Diagon Alley despite being the same price. That would probably allow for at most 3 building modules instead of the 4 Diagon Alley includes if they went that route (My top 3 picks in that case would probably be the GCPD building, Iceberg Lounge, and Ace Chemicals)

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Considering Brick Clicker has an IG poll to decide the next D2C info drop, with Super Heroes (not specifying if it's Marvel, DC or both) being one of the options against Icons and Ideas/Architecture, I can only hope that the wait for more information on the Batman D2C will be a very short one at this point.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

That could also work. A lot of characters in say, an Arkham set, could probably get away with being either straight repeats or variations that wouldn't require new prints from the 2019-2021 sets (Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Batwoman, Gordon, Joker, Poison Ivy, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Riddler, Man-Bat, and the Arkham jumpsuit torsos from the 4+ Arkham set come to mind), which would leave more room to new characters and variants that would definitely need new prints. It's worth noting though that even after the Daily Bugle got a $50 price increase, it still has a price of about 9.3 cents per piece, noticeably lower than whatever this Batman D2C is. I'd assume there must logically be some sort of reason why the Batman set will be $100 more despite only having about 200 pieces more than the Bugle.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm hoping for either Rivendell levels of new minifigure prints and/or a bigfig to help justify the cost of $449.99 for 3,981 pieces, which is about 11.3 cents per piece.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

If this D2C is something that supposedly won't disappoint people, would that make a minifigure scale set a safe assumption? I got the impression that the big D2C Bat-vehicle sets did all right, but I feel like another one would disappoint a lot of people at a $450 price point (especially considering the past big Bat-vehicles from 2019-2021 ranged from $200-270)

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I mean, if it is a detailed system scaled set that includes a decent number of new characters or revamps of characters that could still use improvement, I could see a lot of people getting excited. I'd be excited if that were the case, anyway.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

There are many new minifigure options a comic based Batman D2C could go with. We're still missing some Bat-Family members, with Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown being among the most notable omissions. Tim Drake in his Red Robin costume would also be good to get. Red Hood would be a good option to include again, as it's been quite a while since his last appearance. Perhaps they could do this design (which Spin Master recently used for their Batman figure line) if they want to do something different from the 2016 minifigure. As for villains, Bane with the 2021 bigfig mold, minifigure Clayface with the Vidiyo slime head, and a new black and white suit Two-Face still remain my most wanted revamps of villains we've gotten before, while my top 5 picks for villains we haven't gotten yet would be Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist, Hush, Black Mask, and Lady Shiva. Of course, I can only hope LEGO goes with any of these for the D2C, assuming it's even a minifigure scale or comic based set at all.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Arkham Asylum seems like it'd have the best potential for the minifigure selection, though I'd hope they would actually take the opportunity to include some characters who would have basically no chance showing up elsewhere. Darker characters like Professor Pyg (who did appear in Beware the Batman and got a billboard cameo for TLBM) and Zsasz (who did appear in the DS versions of the first two LEGO Batman video games) might technically have a very slim chance of appearing in a 18+ Arkham set (and if they don't show up in such a set, they're likely never turning up) I'd technically be fine with them reusing most figures from the 2019-onwards sets (maybe with a slight change that doesn't require new printing here and there) if it meant getting more new characters.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Whatever the set is, it has a higher cost per piece than a lot of other D2C sets, even post-price increase. Maybe a lot of new prints or bigger parts used in the build? I'm still waiting to see the 2021 Thanos bigfig mold get reused for a comic version of Bane.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I just got back from seeing the movie, enjoyed it more than the second movie overall, but I'd still rank the first one above it. 7.5/10 Really needed at least one additional set, I hope LEGO will decide to revisit it in the next few years.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm still hoping that the upcoming CMF will have 18 minifigures like the Disney Anniversary series, considering there should be more shows to cover compared to the first series.

    DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm not entirely convinced that the we'll be getting a third minifigure in the Flash set considering how many Batmobile sets in the past few years (76119, 76188, 76239, and 76181) only included two minifigures. I would definitely prefer Supergirl over Zod if we do get a third minifigure though, as the 2013 Zod isn't particularly in need of an update, and is still pretty easy to get online.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

It would just seem really bizarre if Lizard doesn't turn up anywhere at all, considering he shouldn't even require any new molded parts now that the T-Rex costume tail piece exists.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I guess the most logical way we could get Lizard at this point is if we got a set of the FEAST truck, which could also include May and possibly Jameson, plus some repeated Spider-Man variant.

The Cap and Black Widow Bike set would be a lot more interesting if it has their TWS designs.
