The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

Polybag set 30529 is apparently Mini Master-Building Emmet, which has 49 pieces and a 3-in-1 build, and yet another Emmet minifigure. Kinda "meh" compared to most of the other TLM2 polybag sets in my opinion. I wonder how many polybag sets will be made for this theme total.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

The Apocalypseburg D2C looks great! It's certainly better than how I originally pictured it would look. I also picked up the Metalbeard polybag at Walmart. It's a fun little set that feels like a great value for the $3.99 price, especially with the 3-in-1 feature of the build.

    Warner Brothers' MonsterVerse

Both the trailers for Godzilla: King of the Monsters have gotten me hyped! It already looks like quite the improvement on the previous movie (which I enjoyed) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this when it comes out. Now if only LEGO could make Godzilla sets...

    The Lego Batman Movie 2

I'm guessing this won't be coming out until around 2021, but I'm definitely excited that a sequel is coming! There are still many villains they could include that weren't in the first movie. Mad Hatter is the most obvious choice. Other villains that I would like to see used include Black Mask, Hush, Ventriloquist, Lady Shiva, Copperhead, Roxy Rocket, Ten-Eyed Man, Penny Plunderer, Doctor Double X, and of course, the Music Meister! Villains such as Firefly, Ra's al Ghul, and Deadshot could also show up with new designs from their DC Super Heroes versions. I wonder if the Justice League would have a larger role this time around. I hope that Samurai and Gleek appear again so that they can actually be included in a set this time. Of course, I fully expect to see more wacky Batsuits and Bat-Vehicles in the sequel as well.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

It looks like an eBay listing revealed that polybag set 30528 is Mini Master-Building Metalbeard, with 42 pieces and a 3-in-1 build.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

It appears that a green baby dinosaur with the same pattern as the blue one will be showing up at some point, judging from a new picture that has popped up online. I'm guessing that it will be included in the CMF series as an accessory.

What was the last movie you watched?

Just saw Crimes of Grindelwald. I definitely enjoyed it overall, and it leaves me anticipating the next movie.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I wonder if there is any possibility of there being a store exclusive set that isn't accounted for. When did we know about the Quidditch Match set?

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

All the revealed sets look pretty great! I'm not really interested in the Movie Maker or 4+ sets, and I'm undecided on the DUPLO set. As for the others: 70822 Unikitty's Sweetest Friends EVER!: I'm definitely buying this one. It has some very fun little builds for the price. 70823 Emmet's Thricycle!: I also plan on buying this one for the sheer ridiculousness of the main build, as well as the DUPLO alien. 70824 Introducing Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi: Also a fun little set with a good selection of figures. I've heard different sources report this set's price as either being $9.99 or $19.99. If it's $9.99, I'll certainly buy it right away. If it's $19.99, I'll likely wait until I can find it for a lower price. 70825 Queen Watevra's Build Whatever Box!: No idea what to think of this set at the moment. Maybe this set will seem more appealing after I see the movie when it comes out. 70826 Rex's Rex-treme Offroader: This set looks nice, with the blue raptor being a highlight. I'll probably buy it at some point. 70827 Ultrakitty & Warrior Lucy!: This is another definite purchase for me. The giant Unikitty build looks great, and the DUPLO alien is a nice addition. 70828 Pop-Up Party Bus: This set also looks nice with a unique Unikitty variant, though the figure selection seems a bit low for the price. I might buy it if I can get it at a discount. 70829 Emmet and Lucy's Escape Buggy!: Undecided on this one at the moment. It has some interesting features, but it feels a bit overshadowed by some of the other sets. 70830 Sweet Mayhem's Systar Starship!: This set looks great, but the price and minifigure selection are rather disappointing. I'll likely buy it, but not at full price. 70831 Emmet's Dream House / Rescue Rocket: This set looks very fun with the alternate builds and the Rex and Unikitty variants included. This is one I'll very likely buy. 70834 Metalbeard's Heavy Metal Motor Trike: The design of this set looks pretty cool, though the price seems a bit high and the figure selection seems rather lacking. Undecided on this one. 70835 Rex's Rexplorer: Another cool set with a lacking figure selection, though the raptors make up for that quite a bit. I might buy this one if I like the movie a lot, though probably not at full price. 70836 Battle-Ready Batman and Metalbeard: As a big Batman fan, I'm almost certainly going to buy this set, if only to put the Apocalypse Batman next to my LEGO Batman Movie Batsuit collection. 70841 Benny's Space Squad: $10 for this? I'm definitely buying this set on sight! Overall, the sets look very fun and playable, but most of the larger sets feel rather light on minifigures for the price point. I'm guessing this is because other characters and variants from the movie were presumably held back from this wave so they could show up for the CMF series, D2C, and future waves. Hopefully the minifigure selection for the sets in this theme will improve later on after the movie is released.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I went to Barnes and Noble right when it opened and was able to get a minifigure pack by buying the Hogwarts Express. The employee I asked about the promotion didn't know about it at first and I had to show him the sign that was placed in the LEGO section for him to confirm that such a promotion existed. But regardless, I now have the pack, and can spend the day building my new Hogwarts Express!

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

Hopefully that artwork is an indication of things to come next year. That Buckbeak in particular would be great to see in a set, as it would make for a nice improvement on the 2004 version.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

The sets look decent overall. The Spider-Mech vs Mega Venom looks like the best set of the wave, and it is odd they put both Miles and Carnage in another smaller set. The presence of Spider-Man 2099 in the Spider-Crawler set reminds me of the final boss of Spider-Man: Edge of Time, though I doubt it's an intentional reference. The lack of new villains is disappointing, though the new designs for the old villains look pretty good overall (besides Doc Ock's arms) Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, and Sandman seem to be the best minifigures in the wave in my opinion.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Wishlist

Thank you for the feedback! The pricing probably is a bit optimistic, though I'm going by the assumption that LEGO would scale down the locations to varying extents (without making them microscale, of course) to fit them into a variety of price points, rather than selling entire waves of $100+ sets.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

That's a very interesting catch. Hopefully these are a hint at what's to come next year, and not just minifigure designs made up for the book, though I suppose only time will tell at this point.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

That Green Lantern Mighty Micros vehicle looks exactly like a MOC from this video from 2016. It almost certainly not an actual upcoming set because of that.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I was hoping for a minifigure scale set myself, as I'm not really interested in microscale, but at least I don't have to worry about saving up for a D2C set. The Ollivander minifigure by itself should be fairly easy for me to acquire.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

Wow! That Diagon Alley looks amazing even out of focus in the distance! I'm already dreading how much that will cost, seeing as (at least from the perspective it looks like it could be bigger than Assembly Square and could easily be comparable to Ninjago City in terms of piece count. I can identify Gringotts, Ollivanders, and Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, and I'm guessing that the small green shop is meant to be Flourish and Blotts, and that the red one is Quality Quidditch Supplies, though I'm not certain.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

The Target near me restocked the CMF wave, so I was finally able to get Voldemort and Trelawney, so now I have the complete series! Definitely a great lineup of characters and variants overall. At least in my area, the LEGO Harry Potter sets and CMF series alike have been selling incredibly well everywhere. Every Target, Walmart, and Barnes and Noble stocking the sets I've been to never have many of the sets left on the shelves, with little to no sign of the CMF bags remaining in most cases. The store employees I've spoken to across numerous locations have told me that they've had trouble keeping enough of the LEGO Harry Potter merchandise left on the shelves to meet demand. The promotional mini Hogwarts Express building event that the Barnes and Noble closest to me held was so packed with kids and their parents that I could barely move through the section of the store where the event was being held. Even the Harry Potter polybag set seems to be selling better than the other polybag sets at the Targets near me. Everything I've seen and heard suggests that the new LEGO Harry Potter line has overall been a massive hit that generated considerably more demand than any of the stores around me could have anticipated.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I searched another Barnes and Noble, a Walmart, and two Targets and only found the CMF wave being sold at the last Target. (The Walmart I went to had a Harry Potter CMF standup display, but it was completely filled with the Unikitty series, with not even a single Harry Potter bag to be found ) I ended up with Newt Scamander, Queenie Goldstein, Credence Barebone, and a second Percival Graves. Now I just need Voldemort and Professor Trelawney and I'll have a complete set! Also, a possible Quidditch Lesson set? If true, I wonder what it would consist of. Hopefully it won't be long before more information regarding potential 2019 sets pops up.
