    LEGO Monkie Kid 2022

I really like the look of the rocket there, especially the red cockpit windows. I'm not too bothered with the theme going to space. To me, Monkie Kid has established itself as a very tech-based theme so this isn't too far of a stretch. Ninjago has stretched far more than this. (Looking at Seabound) Now, what did bother me is that the characters are wearing astronaut-like suits. I personally would rather have the characters wear their own unique spacesuit (with unique design and colors) instead of a uniform. I would be completely fine too if the character just use their regular suits.

Oh boy....looks like the "NRG Nya" minifigure might really be something....(though seeing the description again, it looks like it's translated. So it could be possible that the powered up Nya might go with a different title name.)

Hey....gotta say...."Call of the Ocean" sounds much better there! Also, good to know that you can obtain NRG Nya (that's a title I haven't heard in a quite a while!) from the Water Dragon too. And I'm definitely am really glad that Scuba Kai does exist. What I find really interesting with Legacy Deepstone Robes is that while they're pretty similar their 2015 counterpart, the Legacy version went with route of what if these robes went with the route of dropping the 2D weapons prints on their garb just like the subsequent robes past Possession.

Been frequently browsing #Legoleaks and yeah, still nothing. It's still just Harry Potter and R2D2. I definitely want to see that Temple and Water Dragon in full HD glory too! As I really want to know if it's possible for Wojira to be outfitted with both Amulets.

I absolutely agree with this too. The first seven seasons at least kept a consistent tone while at the same time becoming more modern with each passing season. The next two seasons were taken to the next level so the tonal shift was definitely welcomed. But yeah, most seasons after those either went off-tension or regressed into childishness, the characters barely felt like characters anymore. I get that the writers are trying to forge a new path for this era but they kept missing the mark. The first nine seasons (and MotM) feels so rewatchable even if you've grown up. The rest indeed feels like something you just can't take seriously. And I agree that it does get very annoying when this happens to beloved characters as the maturity just kept shifting. Master of the Mountain was unexpectedly pretty good as it showed that the current group of writers do have the potential to make decently competent seasons despite some of the characters' regression and it also brought out some hope (for me) that maybe the writers did learn from their blunders with Season 11 and 12. Sadly, the Island and the current Seabound (on the episodes that's aired) shows that MotM may just be an exception.

This is some dark stuff! So much darker than S.O.G. and Hunted. And I absolutely love it! The art style completely nails the atmospheres with some return to feudal roots. Yep, this something I've always wanted modern Ninjago to be. Though I know that this is a reimagining, but it would be really sick if this is some hint on the future stories or seasons of Ninjago in the coming years.

Speaking of Harry Potter sets that's just revealed, I'm pleasantly surprised with seeing a newly recolored Pyro Slayer/Destroyer's head of grey and trans-green. Pretty interesting use if one wants some petrified-like snakes characters. (Wasn't sure about posting here but I don't collect Harry Potter sets so yeah I'll just bite the bullet.)

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

I was actually just mildly tolerating those prisoner garbs in seasons 4 and 6 as both seasons thankfully had other elements which were really great enough that it overshadowed them. They are just a very small part from those era too whereas currently they are beginning to get rampant like with what happened in the Island too. Also, I forgot to add that the common city criminals that are getting rampant too. I do remember those two episodes due to them being a major part on why I never liked Season 3 that much. While there's not much that pushed it like those two episode, the Hydro Bounty scenes and its interiors were quite close. Also, I don't mind sci-fi stuffs as long as it's done in a very stylized manner which adheres to the flavor of the theme. The ones that I don't like in Ninjago were the ones where you could put them into a completely different series and they wouldn't even look out of place. Prime Empire had a great concept as the designs was nicely stylized, I really liked them. It's the way the show conceived and portrayed the story around the digital ream that kinda killed it for me. It had the potential to make a great blend of sci-fi societies and feudalism in a unified Isekai RPG-styled game world with the plot solely focusing on just completing the quest of the game world itself. But what we get is a weird plot that spurred by a lost creation trying to meet his normal maker and "father" with the events set in separate zones that barely has any feudal designs with pointless obstacles that just makes basic references to gaming, combined with stakes that I can't find myself to care about. I apologize if I do sound a teensy bit worked up. Some seasons' mediocrity does get my brain racking with wasted potentials and what could've been. And I probably should be stop making myself seem like I'm disliking certain elements wholeheartedly as they are multiple aspects that contributes to what I feel. Again, like I don't mind tech or sci-fi, it just peeved me greatly when they are used in such a way that looses the flavor and theme of Ninjago especially when also used in a contemporary manner. Thanks for debunking it there to finally put that "leak" to rest!

Yeah, the timing really feels pretty off for these minifigures. It's just too close to MotM which was just last year and way too far from a MotM Legacy wave. They definitely do look much more detailed and armored up than the original MotM ninja. Kinda made me wish the original MotM ninja were like these haha! Unless for some reason LEGO for some reason is doing a reissue wave for MotM and think it's a good idea replace the current minifigure line-up and replace them with new variants. The idea itself is probably very far-fetched and is also a decision that doesn't make any sense but it's an idea.

Yep, despite season 15 being an enjoyable watch, I'm starting to get really bothered with how Ninjago is getting assimilated with the contemporary real-life modern concepts with all this reliance on normal tech, common City-like prisoner-garbed thugs, and there's even a sunken Titanic-like ship in the intro for heaven's sake. And as I've already mentioned, the Land Bounty/Hydro Mech descending scenes is the most sci-fi vibe I've seen with Ninjago to the point where I'm not feeling the original flavor in those durations. Hope that aspect would be massively toned-down in the future, Would love for Ninjago to commit to the vibe of the folklore with old school style without the overreliance on tech. Wojira was already a great and awesome example on how a mythical folklore beast concept is used, but there's also so much tech being used alongside in the season. This is also another reason why Master of the Mountain was awesome, aside from a good story, it captured the flavor of an adventure and mysticalism of Ninjago without those darn generic techs. About what's possible with the next season, it seems based on the direction season 14 started and season 15 is heading, we might start exploring more on the primordial days of Realm of Ninjago before the First Spinjitzu Master arrived and its ancient mythical denizens catching up to the present day. I remember there's some mentioning of a final element coming in the future, which could tie-in to the days even much further back. Though I'm still crossing my fingers for a Mega-Monster Amusement Park wave, what better ways for mythical folklore monsters to hide in plain sight than a monster-themed park?

Good catch there man! Yeah those jellyfishes really did made us assume it was on the sea floor or something. Perhaps it could indeed be like what Guyon suggested where the temple could be manually flood in or flushed out. Yeah having Kai just in his SotFS suit with a little extra stuffs would definitely suck. Yep, I hope not too. Also, aside from the examples Guyon mentioned there's also the 70588 Titanium Ninja Tumbler from 2016, 70616 Ice Tank from 2017's TLNM, and 70734 Master Wu dragon from 2015, thought it would count since it has blue eyes and teapot with a lot of white.

I'm a bit late to the party but gotta say, definitely dig that new minifigure of Nya's ultimate form. Gorgeously and spiritually primordial. This kind of design is something Ninjago has always been kinda lacking, would love to see more of that in future seasons and sets. Also with Cole's scuba suit now revealed up close, it does look different to me now. Based on the blurry leaked images, I've always though there was some printing of some crystallization design on the suit when what that actually was, in fact, just metal plating. While the "crystallization" aspect was why I sorta liked that suit in the first place, it does feel out of place. Thankfully, what I saw was just a misinterpretation. And now being able to see the scuba helm out close, it's alright I guess. Objectively, it does fits the style and printing of the scuba suits. But it's still not going to be my favorite though. Definitely not my cup of tea there. Thoughts on the first four episodes - they're an enjoyable watch. Maya got turned into stereotypical mother but still a fun character nonetheless. I don't like what was done with Ray though. Isn't he suppose to be the very stoic, serious and totally not a gamer? Hopefully we'll get to see some development with him. I do find pirate-y Zane to be slightly refreshing and fun though. Most of the time his character from SotFS onwards was starting to get slightly monotone, both him and Pixal. One thing the hydro bounty and mech diving scenes from Episode 3 and 4 made me realized was how science fiction-y Ninjago is becoming with this season. I wouldn't have realized it was Ninjago had I not recognized the characters. It was until when Nya and Maya arrived at the temple, that I start getting back that Ninjago feel again. Also yea, I do find it odd that as the end of The Island, Wojira was sleeping on the sea floor while now it's in the temple. Speaking of Wojira, I gotta say that I love how Wu's scroll was portraying that Wojira and warrior. Very Japanese folklore styled. That how I actually wished this season's vibe would be rather that having all that tech around. Also the two amulets glowing on Wojira's head as shown in the scroll is just so cool that I kinda wished that the actual Wojira in the set was also designed in the way where you put the amulets in the head rather than on the belly. If I'm not mistaken, I do remember seeing a red scuba pod side build back when the catalogue was just leaked. Hopefully that's a good sign of Kai's inclusion as a scuba ninja.

Looking at Jay's scuba suit, I'm actually liking the design there. Well, except for the straps and belts. The suit would've looked so much better without them. I'll admit (with what we've seen) - The scuba suits are starting to grow on me. The helmet is still another story though.

Welp, R.I.P. on the theory that Apsheera will be returning as the main villain.... On the other hand, man I love that minifigure! That prints is just so good. It's so aquatic, and the orange-ish lines are definitely a nice touch. The head awesomely screams aquatic too! Kinda made me wish that the grunts such as the maraay guard were more aquatic themed rather than re-using Pyro Viper heads now.

Oh yeah, I've recently seen a video by Talented Arts Production too. I do dig his Empire Dragon remake! Speaking of "UCS" legacy set, it would be really nice if there was a set based on the City of Ouroboros. The various small snake structures in the 2012 sets do looks pretty cool and I do also like the side build of Legacy 70667. Combining those elements to form an arena-like base set would be really awesome.

Based on LEGO themselves (and their youtube channel), they just categorized both Prime Empire and MotM under "Season 2".

I have to agree that "Seabound" doesn't sit right and I do find "Secrets of the Deep" sounding a little too generic. Hopefully the final accurate translation does say "Secrets of the Infinite Ocean/Sea" which does sounds a little more cooler and unique. I'll still take "SotD" though if that ends up being final. Also, if "Secrets" happens to be accurate, why do I get the feeling that this may add a teensy-bit more to theory of Aspheera returning. On the other hand, maybe any snake season now starts with "Secrets" in the title for this era.

Now it makes much more sense on why the Water Dragon's head resembles the Jungle Dragon (aside from the obvious re-usage of parts, of course). Yeah, it would've indeed been really awesome if Nya was the dragon.

[MOC]: Ninjago - KaiĀ“s red Bike

Damn, I like this sleek design of this bike. This could fit nicely into Prime Empire. Or even better, a Kamen Rider themed wave for Ninjago! Also having the effect parts used as skidding sparks is definitely a nice touch.

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

Thanks! While I really liked the designs of the Pyro Vipers back in 2019, I eventually became slightly iffy with the vipers' original form in the show as there wasn't really any correlation with the original five tribes or the Great Devourer which leads these vipers to be kinda bland. So having Aspheera controlling multiple elements and forms would add a much needed flavor to these breed of snakes rather than keep introducing new snake characters that'll thin out the flavor. Something interesting I do want to note too - suppose the main snake baddie is able to ride Wojira in both the set and show, it does bears similarity to Aspheera and Fire Fang considering both huge serpents are mostly black in color which could add more to the theory.

    The Shogun Titan

I can't say enough how much I love this thing! You've certainly succeeded on what the Mecha-Man has failed to do - creating an insanely formidable opponent for the ninja both in the movie and set. This mech just screams potential for a fight of legendary proportions. Imagine what TLNM could've been if it went onto an entirely different direction with this mech! While the Garma Mecha-Man in the movie is huge and imposing, I can't imagine it emitting an aura of a destroyer and capability of executing some relentless moves like this mech. Hands down the Shogun-Titan would rip the Mecha-Man apart. (Also definitely getting that feeling too with that photo of The Shogun Titan behind Zane's Titan Mech haha!) My favorite parts of the mech would be shoulders, arms and the head. They are really nicely shaped with how rounded the arms are topped with an imposing shoulder armor. The extra arms are certainly brilliant additions, they completes the silhouette of Garmadon and adds more menacing factor as well. The head completely gives off the vibe of a warrior who will not stop at nothing until its enemies are defeated. I also gotta mention that I do somewhat dig your first iteration at Garmadon's Mech. While it is not perfection like the Shogun Titan and definitely far from great,, the mech does have classic feel it. The shaping kinda resembles the snake-bitten mech in Episode 3 of Season 1 of Ninjago. The head is my favorite part as it looks like Garmadon gone "mechanized" combined with the nice touch of using a ninjago spinner blade as part of the headcrest. Again, the Shogun Titan is just insanely awesome, melding both the way of the warrior and monarchical darkness! Thanks for showing there!

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

Episode 3 of the Island was pretty fun. Like the first two episodes, I really enjoyed them. In fact, I kinda felt that its ending could've transitioned well into the next season because (spoilers)... Now that I've seen all of the Island episodes, some pieces are beginning to click and a theory formed in my head regarding the villains of Seabound. This might mark the return of Aspheera considering she was last held in Kryptarium which a breakout has recently occurred (might be the key). And since she was from quite a while back, she may have known about Wojira. With the Maraay Guards resembling Pyro Whippers, it's possible that Aspheera has taking her fallen brethren and mutate them and herself into aquatic creatures through either water magicks or the power of Wojira. I find it fitting considering her Fire Chapter incarnation wasn't her original form which could have LEGO bring her into various directions when it comes to snakes without cooking up and retconing more new snakes in the Wildbrain era. Also with a leaked storyline of Nya losing her powers, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same snake that stole her brother's powers. previously. Of course, again, this is just a theory. It may or may not come true. It could just completely be a new species/faction of snakes which is also a good possibility too with the leaked episode name of "Sea Kingdom" that suggests a civilization of aquatic snakes.

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

Yeah, I agree that it would've been really nice for the Island to have taken place immediately after the ending of MotM. That ending was wholesome. Though on the topic of timelines, I have to note that the Ninja did refer to their past adventures in episode 1 of MotM which only includes Aspheera's takeover, the journey to the Never Realm and Prime Empire. Wu did also mentioned those which is part of why he's being quite funkily depressed due to not being much help. The only development I can see that's taken from MotM is now Wu is willing to go on adventures such as going to the Island with Misako and Clutch instead of staying back. These factors is why I still believe MotM takes place before The Island and after Prime Empire. Combined with LEGO's views of Prime Empire and MotM being just one season with two chapters and probably the same with The Island and the next season, it gets even more confusing haha! (I can understand why LEGO did that though.) However, I still wish there was a more straightforward way of perceiving rather than "anything you want", personally.

    VIDIYO - Universal Music 2021

Glad to know that there are actually going to be full fledged sets aside from the Beatboxes and Bandmates! I'm definitely curious to know how these sets are going to make up the world of Vidiyo and what gimmicks (aside from the app) are going to be used for features.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

The first two episodes of The Island have been released in English and yeah, I can see the problems mentioned on the other thread. Pretty much all of it stems from the plot and pacing feeling quite rushed due to being crammed into four episodes. As a result any interesting side plots or development ended up being skimmed really fast. This is why I was apprehensive and slightly disappointed when it's revealed that it's just going to be 40-ish minutes long. Had there been an extra few more episodes to even out the pacing, this could've been pretty good. On a positive note, I'd say that the animation didn't disappoint! I can see that Wildbrain really shines in (most) exotic places. And if you look pass the rushed pacing, overall it's still a very fun two episodes. I definitely did enjoyed them despite the rushed-ness.
