Over the course of three months or so, I designed the LEGO 360 Coral Reef Aquarium as a submission for LEGO Ideas, that I submitted a few days ago. I'm so excited that it's already got 171 supporters This version of the aquarium was based on two others I'd built over the last year. It's fully enclosed by transparent panels so you can view the interior from all angles to find many delightful corals, two schools of fish and loads of interesting sub-dioramas. On top is a detachable simulated LED light. The base is sturdy with discreet handles that allow you to re-position the aquarium to see inside from every vantage point. To set this model apart from other LEGO aquariums out there is mine is built with modules. You simply build each module then set them into preset locations inside the aquarium. I also steered away from elements that others used in their aquariums so as not to copycat other great ideas. If you so wish, please support my LEGO Ideas MOC at: LEGO 360 Coral Reef Aquarium LEGO 360 Coral Reef Aquarium Please support and share if you like it

Excellent use of pieces for both cellist and cello.

Beautiful use of colour on the building exterior, and the building is well-proportioned. So many details in the interiors, too. Lovely.

Love the two greys, lavender and dark purple for the sleek building exterior. And --- unicorn tears!

I had a similar situation a few months back when I acquired two five gallon pails of used Friends sets. First, I did a rough sort by size. Larger plates, windows and doors in one pile. Brick and medium to smaller plate in another pile. Then all the little stuff in the third. Second, I sorted it by my normal method -- colour and piece type. With so much brick that you have, I would do several sorts to get the lot into manageable chunks. You don't have to accomplish everything at once. Be patient and do a bit at a time. Hope that helps.

An impressive little build with a clever use of elements to flesh out a full and recognizable scene.

This is a great first effort. I'd jazz it up with a few other Friends colours, and make it less diesel in design. Overall, I like, though. Beverly

Love the hospital. Taking a few sets to rebuild is a great idea. I have several Friends Hospitals that will eventually become a bigger, better version. I couldn't get to the Villa video, though. Beverly

Love the use of the teeth and trans-black brick. All that tan works well. Juxtaposing simplicity and ornate is a great way to balance a design. Cheers! Beverly -
Thanks, Lego-fire! Now, isn't he the cutest! Love the smile, hat, buttons and shield.

Great colour and use of pieces. I especially like the bows as architectural detail and tennis rackets for chair backs. Cheers! Beverly

Thanks, dulsi. When I first imagined her, I thought of making her in a running stance, but realized she'd fall over with her legs positioned like that. Looking forward to seeing your build. Cheers! Beverly

I never saw the point of LEGO's BrickHeadz line. They're block-y and all seemed to look alike. All the same, when I stumbled across Belle on sale, I'd bought multiples of her for parts. Then Rebrick announced the BrickHeadz Selfie contest and I thought I'd see what I could do. My first go ended pretty quickly and in failure, which doubled my conviction BrickHeadz really aren't my thing. A few days later, I perused the variety of entries. The successful selfies were uniquely dressed, had a strong theme, and were well photographed. I brain-stormed what I might create as I rummaged my brick. The rules stated the selfie didn't have to look exactly like the builder. I took that to mean I could imagine myself as anyone as long as I was truthful about my goals, world view and personal aspirations. After I constructed the butterfly companion for my selfie and ensured it could "fly" without seeing the support structure, my second attempt went well enough that I entered her in the Rebrick contest. Here's my Lepidopterist (butterfly scientist) BrickHeadz Selfie I can't believe how much I love her. She's the cutest thing I've ever made from LEGO, and I've been carrying her around all day. Indeed, she's my alter ego, at least for the time being. Thank goodness I gave myself a second chance and never gave up. Cheers! Beverly
