This is awesome. UFO is one of my favorite lines. I was in my dark ages when it was out but have since picked up a few. Really neat antithesis to classic space.

I love the UFO theme. While I was young when Classic Space came online and loved it at that time. Looking back in retrospect I could easily see UFO vehicles/figures hiding out waiting to be found out by the Classic Space explorers. Think I've picked up three UFO sets since coming out of my dark ages. They are great stuff.

Very cool.
I still have the actual toy version.

Hadn't seen this here on EB but I think it is well worth noting. Definitely has upped my want list of Benny's Spaceship from 2 to 4. I'd been waiting for a moc from the spaceship.

Fantastic!

Very cool stuff. Thought it looked like a bunkerish type of building and then saw that it is exactly that.

Looks great. I have recently started picking up some classic space stuff. I wish I had never let mine go over 20 years ago.

I just had a thought. I bet Alien Conquest would have taken off had the trans smoke pieces been trans yellow. The color scheme was already in play, all we needed would have been trans yellow.
-
In a different color this would be great for an airport. Airstairs!

Almost pulled the trigger on this today at my closest LEGO store. They had full stock of all the movie sets other than one with the fire engine mech and western steampunk helicopter.

You only need to go back a couple of posts on this very page to find speculations on the answer.
God its great to get some help. Imagine that I have my pages set up differently and that perhaps more or less posts show up per page. I don't see an answer on the current page. I'll go find it. Thanks.
Screw it. On a better note I did get the small chopper. This is the first technic set I've bought since I was a kid. It is a great representation of a CH-46. With some green or all gray coloring(boring) it would show well as a USMC Phrog! Semper Fi.

Without reading this entire thread can someone please shed some light on why the cargo plane is not available in the US?

I don't have any problem with my pizza slices staying down. I also did a mod for the landing gear which I posted pics somewhere here on EB.

Excellent review.
I had many of the original CS sets when I was a kid and miss them dearly.

This is great. I now know how to create my runway when the time comes. That is a lot of tiles though. Bet just those cost a pretty penny. Anymore pics of what looks like a C-130 descending above the city?

Picked up Benny's Spaceship today at a local Lego store in the GTA. The build was enjoyable and the finished ship looks amazing. I'm geeking out so hard while looking at it/swooshing it around (it's really big, but there are some good spots to grip it underneath for flying action). It felt like I was applying stickers every couple of pages, but there are also a handful of printed parts - including 3 slopes with the classic space logo, and a bunch of computer slopes. The main cockpit windshield isn't held on very well, so I shaved down the click hinges a bit so that the piece is easier to flip up/down and thus doesn't pop off every second.
This is great news. Only a matter of time until a review is posted and the mods/MOCs begin.

I think they may be testing the waters. Long live exploration in space, be it Lego or real life. It would be good for kids to have a non-aggresive theme to enjoy and appreciate. It would sell quite well even if it was only released for a year.
You may have something with the idea of TLG trying out some homage to classic space. They used a similar color theme with Alien Conquest. We just need more trans-yellow.

Does anyone realize that having the Classic Space Logos as stickers allows us to apply them on parts we want?
I'd say that's more of a plus than a letdown.
Anyone can get stickers printed. Printed Lego pieces is much more difficult to do. I am relieved to hear some are printed.

Stickers Stickers Stickers!!!!
Now this is a total letdown. IMO this would have been a saving grace for Benny's Spaceship and making it much more valuable and desirable. Most of us who were kids during the classic space years were probably looking forward to those printed pieces. C'mon LEGO!

I love the story of the A-12. Great rendition. Didn't the Q-bay load from the bottom?

I was just checking my Brickset Amazon sale page and saw the Sith Fury Class Interceptor for $12.99. WTF???? I clicked on the link to amazon and it was back up to $80. At $12.99 I would have bought four!

Thank you for the review and the comparison with the 2009 model. I too will most likely get this version as well.

Looking more at Benny's SSS leads me to wonder what great MOC's people will build with it.

Thanks for bumping this one.
What a magnificent moc.
