Went to a local TRU tonight and they had all the sets. Nice to browse them a bit but I wasn't going to get anything at the moment regardless of the markup. I was hoping to find some of the CMF9. None of those to be found.

Hope this is helpful. http://bricks.argz.com/set/5986-1 -
Great review. I took one of the extra green tooth parts and put it in the rear thruster area. Now it resembles a green stinger.

I must have missed it, where are you finding names for the figures? 360 degree pics? I definitely agree about the Ackbar similarity. Noticed it from the first leaked pictures. C'mon Lego give us some small sets in the $2-$6 range.

I stopped by a local Lego store to see if the GS were on the shelves and they were. Very cool sets. I wish the little buggy from the Vaporizer set had rubber tires though. Seems cheap without them. I picked up the Space Swarmer but will wait for them to show up at Target. Still have quite a few 2012 sets to pick up. Lego also had some of the new city, technique, and creator sets. The new police figs are cool as is the packaging. Now I don't usually army build but I do understand wanting a few more figs to wage combat. They really need more bugs and some of those purple capsules so the insects can capture all the squads who try to get them.

I think Lego should do another wave of MF for next fall/Halloween. Of course I thought that a second Alien Conquest theme would have been great too. Pharaoh Quest also should have had another wave IMO.

I stopped by TRU this evening to see what was out and the only new sets were two Hobbit sets.
-
Wonderful stuff. I got a bunch of grays when they came out. Still awaiting a creation to inhabit.

Looking back at various Space themes most had small inexpensive sets to army build. It would be great if TLG would do this for Galaxy Squad too. From what we've seen so far there isn't a "squad" so to speak.

Fixed it. Yes counting dupes. Thanks.

Thank you for posting the pics. Looking at the photos I see lots of great colors and some new pieces afaik. There are even printed pieces! Quite a few of them too. TLG has definitely stepped up their game this year. The bugs even have printing on their eyes. I see a lot of potential for this theme. Lego knows it too. Kids will go nuts for these sets and some will gravitate to certain squads more than others for any number of reasons only known to a child. Good stuff!

AWESOME! I can definitely see that fighting the tripod invaders on city streets. So the instructions are available somewhere?

Great to see pics finally. These two sets are great. Observations: The blue robot head has printing and the logo on top The orange robot does have wings The boxart shows a castle-like structure in the background. Neat. We did see a lot in the AC boxart that did not manifest into anything so obviously no promises there.

Cool to see a couple figs finally. Both look damn good. The red one is even scary.

Neat. Reminds me of Galaga

Review: 10228 Haunted House
ETAV8R replied to mostlytechnic's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I finished my HH over the course of two evenings. I tried to anticipate changing it to a modular and left a couple areas with less structural integrity. I also left the uppermost gable hollow. Now I need to find a way to have the manbat hanging up there. The addition of two extra ghosts, one from the polybag and the other from the halloween accessory set really accentuate the HH. The grandfather clock from the polybag fits perfectly behind the writing desk against the wall where the stairs from the attic come down. The zombie from the accessory set is hanging out near the front gate and the witch is up in the attic cooking something up. The build was great fun even though some aspects were repetitive. -
I think those wolves look great. The Lennox figure is eh.

Fantastic! Look at all those witches! Also perfect alternate use of the ringwraith horses.

You blokes across the pond get them if you buy a newspaper though right? That is pretty cool IMO.

Review: 10228 Haunted House
ETAV8R replied to mostlytechnic's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well Mine arrived yesterday. I was happy about double VIP and FS. Kinda bummed I didn't know about that coupon as the catalog recently arrived. After looking at the instructions I want to make this a modular more than ever. I like the hinge feature but for what I have planned a modular will work better. What I'd like to do is put the HH above a basement/dungeon where the mad scientists lab is. Entry to the dungeon will be from just under the stairs on the first level where the gray arch piece is. Might not be enough space there though. Behind the HH on the same level will be the Zombie graveyard set, a pond and cave area for the swamp creature and the werewolf tree as well. I'm not the strongest builder on my own so still awaiting to see someone make this a modular. I love this theme! p.s. I also received a small flyer of CMF series 7 "Brick or Treat" and a series 7 figure. I got another daredevil. Not sure what to do with him yet as I have several already. -
Ugh! I saw those discounts earlier this week and thought they would be around this weekend. I went today to see if I could get a deal on this set too but it was not to be had.

Alternate Stickers for the Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle?
ETAV8R replied to Miles's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is really neat. I don't have this set yet and am always hesitant to apply stickers. I keep them to scan later so I have a file if I ever need to reprint them. Do you guys cut them yourselves or use a die cutter? Did you have to pay for the replacement stickers or did TLG send them for free? -
Really looking forward to seeing more pics. Where is Grogall when we need him!

(MOD) ADU Mobile Command Center (Earth Defense HQ Mod)
ETAV8R replied to Laura Beinbrech's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
RAD!!! Since AC came out I've been a big fan of the short lived theme. I like the look of the goggles on the ADU helmets.
