Lego Rep Gives Information on Leaked Images
LuxorV replied to Starwars4J's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I think this was espected: rember the Blazing Falcon first pics, at Paris Toy Fair (dec 2006) I think, it did not even have the claws on its wrists; probably they hadn't molded them yet... :-D And I agree with Mr. Mandalorian: they need to improve the "dropship" badly :-X LuxorV -
Very nice MOCs *y* I kinda *wub* this one: It's the most funny moment in the game when you see a bunch of grunts running about with their hands up and that strange ondulating movement X-D Btw - Welcome to EB ;-) LuxorV

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Vignette! Entry Thread
LuxorV replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It seems I'm the first to post a vig :-P . Its title is: The first Vogon ... and the reason is all in this quote: "When the Vogon had first crawled out of the sluggish primeval seas of Vogsphere, and had lain panting and heaving on the planet's virgin shores... when the first rays of the bright young Vogsol sun had shone acros them that morning, it was as if the forces of evolution had simply given up on them there and then, had turned aside in disgust and written them off as an ugly and unfortunate mistake. They never evolved again; they should never have survived." [The Hickhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - cap. 5] More pics here; there is also a LDD pic of the initial project. I used the Mr. Pig from Fabuland as a Vogon because it is the best fitting MF and I didn't like the idea of building some kind of constuct like the horrible one in the LDD screen-capture :-X . Hello everybody, I wanted to open this tread this morning, but could not upload the pics on BS... |-/ Well, this time I present you the Red & White Giant (I know, not very imaginative name :-| ). It's a patrol-defense robot built to fit a minifig in its torso. The lines are quite straight and essential, but it was my first try with something this size... 8-

Thank you, it was my first try for a big mech! :-$ Oh, I liked Voltron very much. Was your Voltron made of the 5 detatchable lions liked together or was it just one-piece? He can move arms and legs in the sagittal plain only, no lateral movement; and hands can rotate, as well as forearms. The gun was merely inspird by the Fire Vulture flamethrower... just a bit larger :-P LuxorV

You missed this Hinkley: "When I was a kid (30 now) I had to wait until I got a catalog in a set or saw the new sets in a store. And back then, LEGO only released new sets in January. Only once a year." And LEGO bricks were just bricks. I mean, I'm just few years younger than you, and at the time we almost did not know there could be bricks in a shape different from the classic rectangle or cilinder... I collected wings, windshields and foils as very rare and special pieces; not to mention hinges 8-

So the entry tread will start next week, right? Perfect, so I'll have enough time to read the books *sweet* (finally got them in the editor's shop... others don't have them |-/ ). The Guide ON *y*

Indiana Jones Vig: Dog Fight and Seagull Attack
LuxorV replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like your vig very much, and I think the plane fits in well. As for the seagulls, I think your solution is very good (I would have never thought to built them that way ;-) ) and very scenographic 8- -
Hi hollisbrick, as long as I know, you start as a Vassal when you sign up in EB, then you become a Citizen when you post your 100th post, Knight at 500th, and so on (Count at 1000th, I think 8-| ). Maybe some older member or one of the admins can post a table of the 'ranking', or is there already a tread on this? ;-) LuxorV

Great MOC. I *wub* all those details in the interior, especially the identification office *y* Now all you need are a Zenigata and a Lupin minifigs... X-D
-
Asuka & iamded: thank you both :-$ Interlink: Berries and Cream Super Robot... nice name *wub* ! Makes me want a lollipop or gum right now :-P Lieutenant Colonel Thok: I usally try not to kill people *skull* What?!? *wacko*
-
Personally, I find it a bit, well, confusing, with all those spikes and horns and weapons sprouting out *wacko* . Still, it is impressive (both for size and appearace), and I think it matches with your avatar *y* . LuxorV

At this point I thought "hey, I've seen a MOC on BS that could be of use for inspiration!" Then I read the following lines: I understand your view, and tend to share it, so I think you can find whatever inspiration you may need by yourself (I think you are much more expert and full of fantasy than myself, judging from your pages and comics; btw, they're great *y* ), and ask for advice/comment if you feel you need it. Good work :-P I'll patiently wait to see them dragons (and the Book with all the custom charcters) finished ;-)

I know, but you wrote you plan to build 3 for your Book of the Ancients: And I thought you had similar problems in shaping their heads...
-
I think what Sinner's dragon head, and possibly Hinckley's too, lack to be dragonish in a couple (or more) or spikes on the back >:-) (maybe a row in the middle of the front-top, too). You know, something like this: or this: Hope it'll be useful.

Hello, in these days I've been re-organizing my old photos, and I've found a lot of pics of last years creations. So, this is just one of them: it's a Facility where humans produce the final and most important part of their big robots - the Head The head design is inspired by Greek (possibly Spartan) helmets and it has light-up eyes, ear-mounted weapons, neck-elevating pistons, and braids-like hairs (sorry for ba quality/blurry pic) Hope you like it. More pics here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=276386 LuxorV

What can I add... It's a fine model of one of my favourite planes, with great color scheme :-$ . I particulary appreciate the piston heads line in front of the cockpit, so neat 8-

I'm 26 years (+ 2 weeks and 2 days... I'll spare you counting hours and minutes :-P ) in age.
-
Very nice and neat *y* . I specially like the beak-like ending of the upper lip, it gives it a rapacious look *skull* ! Oh, and I like those nostrils too. The only thing I do not comprehend is why it only has one front tooth in the lover jaw 8-

At great request, here are some detail pics of the mech-suit 8-

The truck was a later thought, not included in my first idea, but that corner felt too empty... *sad* Happy you like it :-$ As for a robot big enough to have this as its head, no, I've never built one (not enough pieces at the time |-/ ). Maybe I'll rebuild the head and give it a body in the future... Who knows ;-) They're hair-things I just put in to make the head larger on fornt view... But indeed the give it a Rasta look :-P LuxorV
