  1. Try this: It can easily handle the torque of a XL-motor and will fit nicely into your chassis Good luck with your car! I
  2. The slipping can be because the H-frame moves out of the pins:
  3. Hi Eurobricks! I would like to share my newest creation with you: a log loader. It is roughly based on a Skogger loader. It has four RC functions: - propulsion - steering - boom - grabber A XL motor is geared down 3:1 to give the four wheels a descent speed and power: I used a servo motor for the steering: The boom is controlled by a M motor via 2 mini LAs. The grabber is also controlled by a M motor and uses a worm gear on two 16t gears. Because the body is only 8 studs at its widest, I had to use a custom 9V battery. Finally the video: Please leave a comment and tell me what you think!
  4. No, I just have to keep the remote above or behind the vehicle.
  5. I wanted to build a small rc version of a Jeep Mighty FC for a long time, and finally managed to do so: My main goal was outdoor performance, so I've used a XL motor geared down 1:2.78 for propulsion. A servo motor was used for steering. With only 12 studs between the insides of the wheel hubs, I had to squeeze in portal axles for the front and rear. Of course we also have suspension: The belly-shot: And the video(sorry for bad resolution): The chassis can be separated from the bodywork and battery in about 10sec. Although it was only possible to build in yellow, I tried to include as much detail as possible and did my best to hide most of the interior. I hope you like it. Feel free to leave your comments and criticism!
  6. Here is a short video to show the durability:
  7. No, the grey 20t beval gear is the one with the round centre hole and is only there to help to prevent slipping. I will make one as soon as we have good weather again here in South Africa! Thanks for the rest of the comments, I really appreciate it!
  8. This was supposed to be a Unimog 401 but things turned out a little different. some specs: Drive: XL motor geared 1:1 Steering: servo motor Openable doors etc It also has rear pendular suspension: And of course a belly-shot: I will make a video as soon as possible to prove its off-road performance. I hope you like it!

    [MOC]4x4 truck

It is possible but, with a 11wide chassis, I prefer a smaller ground clearance to portal axles causing extra friction and slipping gears.
  10. You can use something like this for your front suspension:
  11. Watch that guy's hand on the left side. It looks like he's pulling something...
  12. No, 8258's LA's are the strongest. Two would work if it is not the 24t clutch gears that are slipping.

    Mini-Truck

What a great little truck! I like the way how you managed to get it so narrow. Looking forward to your next mini!
  14. Thanks! The problem was that I needed it's pieces for something else...
  15. Hi, I present to you: The Dragomoto The functions are: - driving (XL motor) - steering (M motor) - functions of the dragon (M motor) which is: - flapping main wings. - lifting tail up and down. - flapping tail fins All functions are powered via RC. This model is relatively small and compact and contains only 764 pieces. I will send more pictures and updates later. Hope you enjoy it!
  16. I use something quite similar to prevent bevel gears from slipping.
  17. 6. The Dragomoto The functions: - Driving (XL motor) - Steering (M motor) - Functions of the dragon (M motor) * Flapping main wings * Lifting tail up and down * Flapping tail fins All functions are powered via RC. The wings and the tail can be used to hit a car that tries to overtake. And finally the video: Link to discussion topic: I hope you enjoy!
  18. It will be easier to make the dragon bigger. The car is already full of all the electronics. I like it as it is, though.
  19. The video:
  20. I finally got the images The first progress: Thanks for all your advice! How can I upload a video?
