The main thread is up. I will post the first entry later tonight. This thread will remain the place to be for all organisational issues. So if there are any questions, please post them here. There are still four days to be "filled". Remember that you can do pretty much whatever you want - be it writing, drawing, building or any combination of these, as long as it is in some way related to the BotBS world and Christmas/Merrymas season. As a reminder: if you are unable to post your entry in time, please let me know as soon as possible! There is nothing shameful or wrong with life getting in the way of things - this is 2020 after all! - all I need for a replacement up is a bit of time though.

Do what you can, and don't stress if you can't "get it done in time". Any backup would be great to have, and you can always post something later outside of this project. Not at all. It doesn't even have to be a build - a story would be appropriate. If it's a build: even something like the small microbuilds from the actual Lego Advent Calendars is fine - if it is good enough for Lego to sell, it is sure good enough for us!

Please decide on a day yourself - there are still five days free to choose. You would post your build a day in advance, also using a spoiler tag. That way everybody can "open the door" each day, and it remains a surprise until the last moment. At least that's the idea.

Would you take the 24th? I'm pretty sure you'd come up with something amazing, ending the whole thing with a bang.

Updated until now, my thanks to everybody so far! I've put you on the 19th, which is a good bit away from your first entry. As for ideas: maybe think along the lines of "how would a pirate prepare for Christmas?", or "what is one of your characters up to right now with all the Merrymas buzz around?". Maybe a "christmas coloured" version of some other build? A pirate ship with appropriate decoration? Go wild!

Well, I guess Oleonese soldiers just need the practice. Reports from the front suggest they could not hit the broad side of a barn if they tried. So I consider those red coats safe from harm. Nice and effective build there. I agree with the in-and-out-of-focus shots being well done. Overall good work!

Can the WTCM quote you on that for "Oleons finest"?

I'll direct you to @Ayrlego and @Bregir for all things uniform in Corrington. Oleon does not have a monopoly on the colour blue though, and in contrast to your badly dressed "soldiers" Corrington officers wear a distinct shade of blue that actually suits them.

That's an impressive building, no questions asked! The style fits the era, the whole thing looks good to me. In terms of constructive criticism I notice a bit too much symmetry (bushes, palm trees), and wonder what makes the whole thing a theatre other than the sign on the front doors. Without that it could just as easily be an office building, factory or anything else. Also, as noted by Fraunces, why is a building of this size and purpose in a tiny settlement on an island that can not be found (unless you know where to look)? It would still feel slightly out of place in most settlements of City size. It feels pretty odd to me.

I can neither confirm nor deny any WTC Merrymas customs involving horse meat. All I can saying is that you just gave me some wonderful ideas, thank you very much!

Very cool build, I love the lyout and especially how colourful it is. And show those Oleon bastards their place! Technically there are no kills shown, just a brawl unfolding. What is implied is a different matter - no final results are shown though, which is more important.

Having some idea concerning the upcoming Merrymas time and an advent calendar "built" by the community. Raising this mostly towards @Ayrlego, @Bregir, @Capt Wolf, @Captain Genaro, @Professor Thaum and whoever in Court I forgot. The basic premise is "each day from December 1st to December 24th has one person building something for it, to be shown from that day on". I would do it like this: Open an organisation thread asap, asking folks to commit to one or more days. In that thread people can volunteer for one or more days (first come first served, but chaging days should be possible before December 1st). Shortly before December 1st I will start te "advent calendar thread", where the builds are shown throughout December. All "doors" get collected in the OP of the advent calendar thread. Each day should get one build prepared in advance, to be posted shortly before or on that day - under a spoiler tag, so verybody can "open the door" at a time of their choice. The builds can be themed around Merrymas, but do not have to. The overall theme would be "Merrymas in the Brick Seas" - and not every minifig is celebrating, so interpretation of the topic is pretty free. I'm not yet sure if I find the inspiration for a build myself, but I'd do the organisation of the whole thing. This is no contest or challenge of any kind, just an opportunity to build for a theme and have it collected in a manner appropriate for the Christmas season. Thoughts? Wishes? Death threats?
