Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
GrahamSlam replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The FSD has much more interior space, but the engine area and the general exterior is too basic and unrealistic for me. The ISD has a better looking outside, but a pathetic interior. Depends if you want it only for play or only for display. If you choose the latter, then go with the ISD. If you play, then go with the FSD. -
Sorry about your home...hopefully, your insurance is good enough to cover flooding and natural disasters. Glad to hear you're okay. Anyway, I would check out some Instructables on this. Also, a youtuber called "Grant Thompson: The King of Random" posts some videos involving hydrogen peroxide. If he does work with ABS plastic and hydrogen peroxide, then it will probably be an okay way to clean the bricks. However, I'm not sure about drying. Maybe a google search of "How to clean ABS plastic and dry it safely" will work. And, I hope you have better luck than I did insurance-wise when my CT basement got flooded halfway up the stairs due to runoff, torrential rain and Hurricane Irene.

Jang is choosing not to go to court because of the legal fees and time it takes. However, Disney would lose in court, as they broke the law by attempting to sue law abiding citizens. So, Jang should go to court, but won't. However, I haven't seen MandRProductions threatened, or even Just2Good. Disney is total bull, and the company is too big and powerful for its own good.

I don't think there are any until, at the earliest, October. The calendar found on the Lego website shows the VIP event on Force Friday on September 1-3, but I don't see anything else. Also, the double VIP points thing only counts for Star Wars, but I may be wrong about that. -
I love it! If it wasn't constrained to using the Mini Cooper parts I would have some suggestions on shape, but since it is, I love how you pulled it off.

Any New England/East Coast Events coming up?
GrahamSlam posted a topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I live in Connecticut, it's about an 45 minute to an hour drive to New York City in my town. Anyone know of any events, Lego museums, or collection displays or shops in the area? I might go to Brickfair New Jersey in September, but was wondering if there was something, even a group of Lego enthusiasts, in Connecticut. -
Hi everyone at Eurobricks, I am GrahamSlam, and while my username sounds pretty childish, it has meaning. I have played baseball for years, starting in kindergarten playing tee ball. I advanced through Little League, played Babe Ruth league baseball, then high school baseball. I still continue to play in leagues for older players. Since a grand slam is a type of home run in baseball, and I've hit one before, I figured it would a fun twist on my real name, Graham. I love to build, and although I'm not the best at designing MOCs digitally, I am pretty good at designing small things in real life. My MOCs are basic, but I only recently got into LEGOs, so it makes sense. I will probably be posting midi scale and large scale MOCs eventually, once I get really good. Until then, I'll have to rely on reference images and make mini creations. I create MOCs from themes such as Star Wars and unlicensed themes like military. Anyway, it's nice to join a community, and I hope to show you guys my creations someday! P.S. If anyone has LDD files for midi scale MOCs, Original Trilogy ship MOCs, or medium sized UCS MOCs, I would love to give feedback and, if it's alright with the designer, get the LDD files.

In https, the site name at the top would likely be green for secure. But for me, it has https but it says not fully secure, and that that hackers can change the site security to look like it's secure.
-
I may know the issue, but it isn't good. If you get a security warning, then that is a red flag. But the site changing to a https is another red flag. If Eurobricks was hacked, then it's https because the hacker(s) changed it to look that way and trick people. I'm not sure about this though, maybe we did get an upgrade.

Hey everyone, I have always wanted to design a large, but not UCS scale Star Destroyer in LDD, but could never figure out how to angle the wings and still have side greebling. Any ideas? I'd prefer to use common or cheap parts, as I will likely build this in the near future.
-
Mind=Blown But seriously, I never thought of that. Nice connections.

Try a Harrower Class Dreadnaught from the Old Republic. Maybe the Sith Infiltrator. A-Wing. I would love to see what you come up with, because I was asking the same question here a few days ago. I might do an Eclipse in midi or System scale. I won't even bother wasting five weeks trying to design the Eclipse in UCS scale.

ISD Aggressor (Star Destroyer MOC w interior and instructions)
GrahamSlam replied to Raskolnikov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hey, I was just wondering about your next project. I've always loved massive star destroyer MOCs, but they are always too expensive to build. Any chance you could create something smaller (fewer than 1200 parts) that would have free instructions? My heart says yes to all of your creations, but then my wallet says NO. I really love this ship by the way. I'd also be glad to promote this smaller project. Lastly, I also need inspiration on how to make a Star Destroyer, so an LDD file would be greatly beneficial to new MOC makers like me. -

They could have purchased the figures individually from another seller, which is not expensive. -
I was trying to find some Lego instructions on my normal site, lego.brickinstructions.com. when Google and Chrome both warned me of deceptive content and malware. This has never happened before. Anyone having the same problem?

I don't know. As far as bots here goes, just report them. They'll get banned eventually. And do reverse image searches of "LEGO" products these people are posting about. Google will see if it matches Lepin products. -
I love the model! The use of chair pieces near the back is really clever. Plenty of greebling. Only thing is the cockpit. It seems to boxy to me. I'm not sure if the Ebon Hawk is designed that way in the cockpit, but it could use a few more curves. Still, great model.

[MOC][WIP] Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer Microfighter
GrahamSlam replied to Martini26's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love it! You're right about the parts number; I think making this set as a microfighter is too difficult, considering the detail and size. However, this would look great in midi scale. Maybe you should try that to make it more accurate and good looking than this. This looks great, but is very difficult to successfully capture in a true microfighter scale. -

I'm sure everyone would appreciate an LDD file. Would you mind sharing it? -

Hey, anyone have ideas for a UCS set I could design digitally? I cannot think of any good Star Wars ships that I could make in UCS scale, even digitally. If anyone has an idea for a UCS set I could design, let me know. I'd be glad to share instructions with anyone who gives me the idea I use. -
Did a reverse image search of their product photos. It's Lepin, and the reviews are fake. The site is claiming to be secure, and verified by credit cards, but isn't. If it was secure, the verified logos would be links to the verification page. Fake site, malware, knockoff, and this guy is a bot or a scammer.

I've always wanted to make a large ship or vehicle MOC, but the ideas I come up with are for basic ships that never would look good in LEGO form. For an amateur MOC maker, does anyone have an idea of a MOC I should make? I'd be glad to post the finished product. -
Great job on the wings. I love the amount of greebling and random detail on the top of the cockpit and troop bay. Next time, though, try to post pictures from more angles, like the back and maybe the sides.

LDD suddenly not working anymore
GrahamSlam replied to ReplicaOfLife's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I just read an article on the web. There are several ways to fix your error. The problem lies with your computer, not LDD. I will link to the article. In my opinion, your best bet is to run LDD in compatibility mode. The way you do this is explained on the site. https://appuals.com/how-to-fix-a-problem-caused-the-program-to-stop-working-correctly/ -
LDD suddenly not working anymore

I might have an idea. Your graphics drivers on your computer might be outdated. On an Internet browser, go to the website of the company that makes your graphics driver. Download the driver in the "Drivers" section, wherever that might be. Then download the latest driver that is made for your system. For example, on Windows 7, it would be a driver that is new and either 64 bit or 32 bit. In system info, check whether your computer is 32 bit or 64 bit. Download the driver for your system, then run the install wizard. You may be required to restart your computer after installation. If this doesn't help, try searching the web.
