Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
A Superman set with both Toyman and Mr. Mxyzptlk could be very creative and fun, with an eccentric, comedic vibe like that of Batman's rouges. -
"Castle lines never die" or "what made me change my mind and believe in new exciting castle lines".
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well seriously, maybe we could see castle incorporated into the City theme someway, though not as a actual castle theme, of course. I think an medieval archaeological dig site subtheme could be plausible, with sets revolving around the excavation of castle ruins just outside of the city limits looking for medieval weaponry and throne room treasures. -
Cool! Just as a simple recolor, this works nicely as a homage take on 7745, I love MOCs like that! By the way, why did you end up selling your original Horizon Express anyway?

MOC - Agents New Rides - Godwins Hollow
Digger of Bricks replied to dignow's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The SHIELD truck works very nicely for Agents, and those retooled Porsche 918s look great! That dropship on the other hand, is quite something.- 10 replies

"Castle lines never die" or "what made me change my mind and believe in new exciting castle lines".

I'm surprised that Nexo Knights didn't introduce any third party ally/enemy factions, that would have made things more interesting for the theme and its TV show. Perhaps the knights could have allied with some hipster coffee loving elves, or some geeky, basement dwelling computer hacker dwarves. Well, maybe the multiple factions would have made the theme too similar to its big bang predecessor Legends of Fabuland, oh, I mean Chima. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This was from three days ago, and I'm not sure if it really means anything, but Nexo Knights was released as a expansion pack for Lego Worlds. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-nexo-knights-now-available-on-lego-worlds/ -
The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, Nexo Knights has already been announced and made available for Lego Worlds about three days ago. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-nexo-knights-now-available-on-lego-worlds/ But yeah, the inclusion of space in this game really doesn't say anything about the future of space for a theme or other products, since it's just a new environment expansion for the game and a core theme for Lego historically. Now I am surprised that the game is getting a Nexo Knights expansion, if that says anything about the future of the theme, but all this is discussion for other topics. -
Wow, I missed this one! I like the rear view on this creation, using the slopes for that slight flare. Also, though it would have been more suited for Sand Blue, the Dark Bluish Grey works quite nicely!

The CW Arrowverse - What Sets Would You Want?
Digger of Bricks replied to TheGeekMeister's topic in LEGO Licensed
Plausibly, I couldn't see us getting any Arrowverse sets any time soon, instead, we could just get more comic based sets somewhat lightly inspired after the TV shows. Having said all that, maybe we could get a $250+ D2C set in about a decade or two.- 19 replies

2017 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Town
Are any credible rumor sources here on EB aware if we are getting a fourth year of Speed Champions for 2018, or is it too early to tell? We already have heard pretty early on about CMSs, Super Heroes, and Star Wars for 2018, even sets for Jurassic World 2 confirmed by @Delta Customs for that summer. -
Thomas the Tank Engine and The Lego Group
Digger of Bricks replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well, maybe the way to go would be a non-Expert Creator set that could be modeled or inspired at least after the LBSCR E2, the British tank engine that Thomas is modeled after. Here is a particular MOC example that captures both Thomas and his tank engine inspiration in Lego bricks very nicely. https://www.flickr.com/photos/94645638@N07/albums/72157666250182836 But having said all that, at least Lego could provide us with large train wheels in Bright Blue or Dark Azure in some other set.- 75 replies

Questions for Creator Expert designers
Digger of Bricks replied to Jim's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Maybe I was under the wrong impression, but did the Creator Expert team show up in person at the event, or were these gathered questions to be sent to them by email or though some other Lego representative? -

LEGO Seasonal Sets then NEED to be made
Digger of Bricks replied to xxix5's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Both of these ideas sound nice, especially the train station to accompany the Winter Village Train. It would also be nice if this station came with a holiday themed steam tram so the station set wouldn't need to lean on last year's train to be complete. -
All of these sound very interesting, but how come there were grapples with the Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry franchises, aren't they WB properties? Universal Monsters would have been nice, especially in light of Universal's currently developing Dark Universe, but perhaps we could see a Universal Classic Monsters CMS in the future instead. Now I really can't believe that they actually considered James Bond at all, since the franchise seems to me to be a absolute NO!

Thomas the Tank Engine and The Lego Group
Digger of Bricks replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yes, Fisher Price has been a wholey owned subsidiary of Mattel since 1993 according to Wikipedia. But, despite Mattel owning HIT Entertainment, which produces the TV show, does Mattel truly own the characters?- 75 replies

Spread the Creator Vibes Around
Digger of Bricks replied to Karalora's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Neither have I, but if such a project (non licensed preferably) were to successfully pass the 10K milestone, the Ideas team would be most inclined to accept it I would think. Original projects not based on any intellectual property that encourage possibilities beyond the main construct are probably looked for by the Ideas team, but they may never reach the 10K milestone anyway. Though many AFOLs would perhaps support such a project, I speculate AFOLs don't make up the majority of most voters of 10K projects. Most projects seem to garner their support though social media, and many of those people are probably not AFOLs, but non-AFOL fanboys of the project's subject or theme. -
Creator and Creator expert wishlist
Digger of Bricks replied to Ondra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Dinosaurs are a popular small to mid sized set Creator likes to revisit frequently, and I was thinking recently it would be nice to see Lego do some larger, more detailed sets for the subtheme around the $70-$90 range. They could have a more detailed, realistically colored build with complex building techniques similar to this rejected Ideas project. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/04deb275-9fd2-4e8a-9ca6-ebf44a6ac45d
