LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Digger of Bricks replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hmmmm, besides the bowler hat, he has more of a Wild West design about him rather than Rathbone. -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Digger of Bricks replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If only they each came with an accompanying new animal mold/recolor, then they'd feel a degree more deserving of their spots.- 2901 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's quite true, and there are a great many other characters that they should prioritize; but, given how odd some of the choices were for at least the second Series (like Jack & Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and The Incredibles' Edna & Frozone), I don't think it'd be too much a stretch to expect some degree of representation for Gravity Falls within a future Disney CMS. Besides, there were two rumored BrickHeadz dual-packs based on the show that were either cancelled or have yet to be released, and when you consider that Series 2's Jack & Sally were previously represented as BrickHeadz beforehand... -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
From what I've read elsewhere, it seems like Disney is somewhat hesitant on commissioning/licensing merchandise for Gravity Falls overall anyway. I believe it was only the Japanese Tea Garden and not @figura's Mystery Shack that had been said to have been archived due to such. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Besides approved LEGO Ideas submissions, I wonder if a potential Disney Series 3 will indirectly acknowledge Disney properties that have been the basis for some recently rejected submissions, such as Snow White and Gravity Falls... -
DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmpf, not noir enough for my tastes... ...seriously though, I am liking how this cinematic take is shaping-up; and if anyone here's seen what Matt Reeves has done for the latter two installments in Andy Serkis' Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy, this film has to be good... -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
So, given that Series 20 will be officially hitting shelves within a month from now, could we see official images some time this week, if not today? -
By the way @Jim, have you end-up reconsidering moving that one topic for some particular reason?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not sure myself how, when, and where the term came about, but I do know that it's exclusive to AFOL vernacular to denote MOCs that are collections of around five custom minifigures puristically made-up of preexisting official parts and prints. -

Aquanaut * Gender: Male or Female, either way. Occupation/print on torso: Flame Yellowish Orange torso with two robotic arms (same part as Series 1's Robot) in same color with Black claw hands. Plus, LEGO Aquanauts' logo printed center upper torso. Type of headgear: Atlantis diving headgear (part no. 87754) recolored in Flame Yellowish Orange with Trans-Light Blue accompanying visor and two Black Technic components (part no. 15100) pinned into headgear's Technic pinholes with Trans-Light Blue circular plates inversely studded into part for spotlights. Type of facial expression: Smiling with wonderment. Color on torso/legs: Two copies of Rodney Rathbone's mechanical leg recolored in Flame Yellowish Orange pinned into Black standard minifigure hip piece. Accessory: None. * Inspired after modern Atmospheric Diving Suits with some nods to Lego's first Aquazone subtheme, Aquanauts. -
Huh, interesting to know, I didn't know that was a rumor at the time... Of course, I myself immediately thought of Doctor Facilier from Disney's The Princess and the Frog when I saw him.

DC Collectable Minifigure Dream Series 2 (voting now open)
Digger of Bricks replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I myself recently checked out their latest animated adaptation of Superman: Red Son, which was rather decent though not quite as great as Gotham by Gaslight as far as Elseworlds adaptations go. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Will it be a themed Series or otherwise? I presume your avatar change there is a teaser for such? -
Oooooh, that's real nice, probably'd have the most scary-looking skull print for a minifigure if this were real... You know, I'd like to add that if you do such for a future Series, I wouldn't follow the selected suggestions verbatim but use them primarily as inspiration, as I'd like to see your Series stay consistent within your own artistic interpretations of such archetypes...

While I do agree that most of those designs wouldn't fit a D&D-inspired wave, I still would hope to see that Teslapunk/Decopunk aesthetic adopted by those concept designs seen in the upper right-hand corner come to the Ninjago theme for a wave in some capacity...
-
Well, I suppose it's reasonable to figure that they'd skip a year before doing a second Series, though personally I wouldn't totally dismiss 2021 as a possibility. As far as other DC-themed CMF Drafts that haven't yet been highlighted here, have you also seen @Ashnflash's Young Justice CMS?
