Are forums still relevant when compared to comments?

I don't want to get wrapped-up into this discussion, but shouldn't this have been posted in the Forum Information and Help subforum?- 75 replies

So, what are Leaf, IP-2 and Zebra?
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Though it seems to be kicking-off with mosaics for now, I wonder if "Zebra" will end-up being a much broader theme beyond just that, maybe more in the vein of Creator/Creator Expert's broader scope? Really, the codenames never seem to hint at anything, as Hidden Side was codenamed "Banana" while "Leaf" is either Super Mario or Monkey Kid. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Whenever that may be, as I'm afraid this year's LEGO Fan Media Days event (where most of those designer interviews would've taken place) may likely be put on hold with the COVID-19 outbreak, as a meet-and-greet with designers @Nabii, @marcosbessa, and Justin Ramsden has been rescheduled for 2021 due to such. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, for me the font of the "T" doesn't have to be that spot-on, as the green, white, and red torso colors, the dark blue legs, and the turquoise ball cap all point to that character being a possible design inspiration/homage. -

If so, that surprisingly doesn't sound all that novel or groundbreaking given that @Falconfan1414 said some months ago that it'll be a "game changer"... -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A Cryptozoologist. Ooooooh, I like that idea! An Archaeologist is a must for me as far as future CMF go, though I couldn't imagine Lego making a Phoenix statue the relic of choice for that archetype, as it'd more likely be something more stereotypical to such like a humanoid statuette or pottery much like @Robert8's own Archaeologist and Adventurer... -
An entire custom Series made up of "[insert here]-ologists" archetypes? I LOVE IT!!! It'd be awesome to see any of these more particular ideas come to future Series of Lego's, and I haven't heard of so many of these professions before either! My favorite designs have to be the Primatologist, the Herpetologist (excellent reuse of Poe's Nathan Drake torso BTW), and the Mineralogist...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Immediately, the first thing I wondered is what CMF archetype could use a recolor of such for a future unlicensed Series. Anyone got any ideas? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If not further... ...makes me wonder if we could see only two CMS this year if Series 20 were to be potentially pushed as far back as August/September. Not sure if anyone's noted this before, but could the Drone Piloting Kid's torso design be a nod to the Time Cruiser theme's Timmy? -
Future LEGO Pirates Set Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to David Thomsen's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well, as Wikipedia puts it... So yeah, by its loosest definition, Steampunk can merely refer to artistic styles and fashions inspired after the literary genre's Victorian Era technologies and stylistic sensibilities; but, what I had in mind wouldn't quite fall under that umbrella, as the anachronistic inspirations would likely be too subtle for it to be thought of as even Steampunkish. Looking around, I did find this one guy on ArtStation who's conceptual artwork for "Space Pirates" comes sorta close to what I somewhat had in mind... ArtStation - Space Pirates by Kenneth Solis -
Super Mario 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to MandyNeko's topic in LEGO Licensed
Given how successful Minecraft has been for Lego just following the tried-and-true minifigure playset format like nearly every other playtheme, what's so different about the Mario IP that compelled Lego to try something experimental instead? -
Future LEGO Pirates Set Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to David Thomsen's topic in LEGO Pirates
Same here for sure, though as I expressed earlier, I don't really think it'd be that bad if a proper Space Pirates theme had a little bit of an Eighteenth Century stylistic flare about its overall aesthetic while maintaining a futuristic technological context. -

COVID-19 and will it impact Lego's profits?
Digger of Bricks replied to AMD's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Several days ago, LAN sadly announced that a meet-and-greet with set designers @Nabii, @marcosbessa, and Justin Ramsden had been postponed to 2021 due to the outbreak, and now they've closed the LEGO House... The Brick Fan - LEGO House From AFOL to LEGO Designer Event Postponed Until 2021 The Brick Fan - LEGO House Closed Due to Coronavirus I guess it's safe to say that they'll also not be hosting the annual LEGO Fan Media Days event at all this year either... -
Super Mario 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to MandyNeko's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't know, if the theme is as big as they say it is, then it could've been in the works for a couple years already, perhaps ready to go at this point and in the wings waiting for 2021 as so not to divert attention away from Monkey Kid's debut. -

Super Mario 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to MandyNeko's topic in LEGO Licensed
It just seems too big for a debuting licensed theme though, and more what you'd expect from the launch of an in-house "big bang" theme...
