I saw all TLJ sets in store earlier. The white boxes do stand out on the shelf. The BB8 will instantly draw the kid and adult SW fan alike as it pops off the shelf. One curious thing was the size of the box for Kylo's tie at only 630 pieces. Its as big as the heavy assault walker and destroyer boxes. Feels light and less than half full when you pick it up. Unsurprising, this wave once again is vastly over priced.

That would be very cool. But no R2D2. Hmm unless the other side mixes figs from TFA and TLJ. So Finn, Rey, BB8, old Han like 75105 plus R2D2 and Luke for TLJ.. one can only hope they really go for it!

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

I missed out on 10179 and like everyone else, greatly anticipate this set (IF it is a MF) It's been 10 years since the last one and any designer worth his salt will want to make the best out of the evolution of pieces available AND stamp some individualism on what would be the most talked about set of the year. Has anyone built the Saturn V? I'll bet there will be new clever techniques for structure and strength without sole reliance on technic lift arms etc. I picked up the 75105 earlier and swooshed it around and played with the interior. I found it hard to fathom a set 5x times its piece count. It also struck me that we would have 2 MFs available simultaneously. Has that happened other sets before? I bet anyone would pay €700 odd for a new 10179 so what's the problem if it's just an upgrade? What if it was the same but packaged like 42056? As for getting one for a kid for Christmas (or anytime) is a moot point in my opinion. It just a very expensive toy. Can we not fathom someone actually playing with it? Some kids want an Xbox, quad bike, horse or €600 mini kitchen.... Why would any parent spend that on any one child unless money was not an issue. I have no expectations for this. I'm confident LEGO will deliver. If they don't, I won't buy. I am very excited about it regardless.

I actually emailed LEGO about this. I put a review up on the Apollo and advised not to shell out stupid money as it will be back in stock. Only emailed LEGO to ask what mitigation they have for the risk of these quick flippers clearing the shelves in a quarter of the time the Apollo was cleared. I got a vey dignified response. Their goal is not to feed resellers but for as many real fans to enjoy the new sets as possible. I took from that that the limit will be low and it will have a long enough production run to squash those very disgusting ebayers you mention

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Finally got something from the S@H discounts. Been patiently waiting and ignoring the offers cause I hadon't limited budget. 2x Battle on Scarif today and an R2D2 poly. On back order but no rush. Used €25 VIP too to reduce it down to €46. Happy days. Plan to make a MOC of the two whenever that happens

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Microfighter Snowspeeder x9 for €24. I don't usually get these but saw one discounted to €2.90 so scooped the lot. Figured 9 snowspeeder minifigs and 800 pieces was a bargain Also a newbie to the site. Hello folks

    I'm Batman

OK I'm not but you had to check right ? I'm Mike, from Ireland. I was a LEGO kid. Classic space and city. Life then intervened for about 20 years until I stumbled upon instructions to the LEGO Technic test car 8865 from 1988. I knew I must still have the pieces. Aha my Dad's attic. Found a big box of old LEGO! You know, white, black, yellow, grey, red and blue. That was it! No stickers back then! That was last summer. I've since bought a pile of sets but only built a couple. Tiny kids stuff and Duplo rules the space at the moment. My favourite builds of the few I've built are a Bricklinked JK Brickwork's Sisyphus Kinetic Sculpture and the Mini Cooper. Although I have the Porsche and GBHQ stored away and went for the Sandcrawler over the Slave 1 as my first SW UCS. I still like to play with LEGO so an ornament is low down my priority list. I tend to go for the bigger Technic cars, Star Wars, Ideas, Creator Expert, City and Ghostbusters. I have some really really old Road Base plates and watching the likes of Jangbricks etc has inspired me to build my own city some day. Not to that scale though. I have a baby and toddler in the house so that Project will just be in planning for a while. I'd love to have time to build more and create MOCs but that will come as the kids get older and we build stuff together. This is my go to resource for all things LEGO and think it is an excellent forum! Hello folks ?
