My target had 20% off lego too, so i picked up the Tie Fighter and 2 Battle packs. Thats all I'm getting from this Solo wave, just my fix of Imperials. Sticking to OT related purchases from now on, so the Tie and troops made a nice addition.

The current 'mud trooper' we have seems to be using a helmet that lego can re-print into other helmet with different goggles for different imperials, e.g. Veers, AT-ST pilots. Not sure if they would want to make a new mould for that helmet and a respirator to fit it. Or the may go cheaper and use the existing goggles helmet and print the face to have the respirator. Either way would be interesting.

[MOC] LEGO Custom Stormtrooper E-11 Blaster from Return of the Jedi 1200 pieces

Love the E-11, though i suppose your model doesn't have a folding stock, does it? -

Might be unlikely, with the recent FO AT-ST, but hey they can surprise us with these sets. Screen time may matter, but the RO AT-ST only got 3 seconds of footage... -
Interesting to see you added bits of tan and red to the outside build. Never seen that on a Star Destroyer, what made you choose to do that?

Probably April Fools.

That uniform that the gunner is wearing in that image is a re-used officer uniform. If lego where to replicate it it would be in the dark grey colour. The jump suit Navy Troopers where seen operating the Death Star Hanger in ROTJ.

The variations depend on the role. The trooper on the left is in his service uniform. This is worn by the troops doing guard duty and whatnot on imperial ships and institutions. The uniform on the right is the crew variant, as people have pointed out above was seen in ROTJ, where they wear the crew jumpsuit. Its a more practical variation for their work. These two variations can be seen on the 501st Legion's costume reference library: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IN_imperial_navy_trooper http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IN_imperial_navy_officer

The new Stormtrooper helmet seems to based off the additional armour that German Soldiers would place on top of their helmets during the First World War. It has quite a similar design, down to the slot/clips holding the additional armour on.

I would prefer just black plain heads. But i suppose lego feels that kids may want faces under the helmets, and those printed faces on the black heads never really turned out well... On another not, i find it interesting how the Mud stormtrooper has a additional amour plat on the top of their helmet. I seems to be replicating the armour plates the German troops would place on their helmets during the First World War. Similar clips and everything... -

Concerning the Throne room set having a apparently bad piece to price ratio, maybe there are some expensive elements included. Like, they actually have a large red cloth element behind the throne. Dunno, just an unlikely guess... -
Lego has been picking up on their Imperial crew and officer figs, i hope to see more rank variations in the future. Also like to see a General Veers in his normal uniform, as well as Admiral Ozzel and Piett.

[MOC] Star Wars the Last Jedi Minifigures Series

Ben Swolo needs to be a bigfig. Its the only way he can be truly accurately depicted. Great detail on the figs!- 4 replies

Lego needs to come up with a larger joint piece so it can be physically possible for these MOCs to have moving legs!

ISD Aggressor (Star Destroyer MOC w interior and instructions)
TheGeneralMoe replied to Raskolnikov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Those are some really nice photos, crisp detail! I think it would be cool if you took the Rouge One theme further by modding the tractor beam array on top of the bridge to be like the 'X' shaped ones seen in the movie and in A New Hope! -
This is my upscale Imperial Shuttle, not quite mini figure scale, but close. I have finally built it after my original UCS set was in many pieces, something i regret not finishing as i was going through my "lego dark age" when i received it. The shuttle can fit one figure in the head and around 6 in the main body. The ramp extends down and has enough headspace for a mini figure to stand under it. The landing gear is retractable, and can also be mounted on a stand. The only issue with this design is that i underestimated the strength of the gear system. The wings are heavier then expected, thus the gear box can't lower and raise the wings with out carful assistance. It is strong enough to hold the wings in place, however. Perhaps when i feel brave in the future i will modify it and add an extra 2 gear boxes to strengthen it. More photos on my Flickr.

[MOC] UCS First Order Heavy Assault Walker AT-M6
TheGeneralMoe replied to Kozikyo86's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good to see that the model is looking quite sturdy for the moment. Lets hope that the centre of gravity remains favourable for when you start building up the larger top section. -
Snoke's navigators are quite easily created using most of the Shadow Guard figure and a Jawa head. Only issue that some may see is that there aren't dark purple, like they are in the movie.

Wow, progress is picking up. With all the legs built, how are you finding the weight so far, especially in the front legs? Does it place any difficulties of the joints? -

New Tie Fighter seen in the trailer, doubt it will be made into a set considering we are just getting the normal variant. Lego doesn't release similar ships like that in a short space of time. -

Great guide! I love stormtroopers, and keeping track of the variations is an interest of mine. However, i noticed that you missed out on the Shoretrooper from the Tie Striker set. The one with the one blue arm.- 6 replies

(Sorry for poor picture quality.) Decided to finally get around to posting my MOC/MOD of the AT-ST walker, with TLJ showing off the FO version of it. I decided to have both versions present, with the original model converted simply by adding a few new parts. The MOC is based off the walker that came with the Battle of Endor set, with a almost identical head, but with the legs being built with ball joints to create a more movie accurate look. This makes the walker far more posable and flexible, however it can be difficult to set up and quite fidgety. The legs can be held in place by 'stoppers' built into the side of the legs. Original walker and the 5 parts used for FO version. Ball joint 4x4 piece with Bionical joint. More shots of the FO version:

Reminds me of the 1999 Y-Wing... nice to go back to the basics.

[MOC] UCS First Order Heavy Assault Walker AT-M6
TheGeneralMoe replied to Kozikyo86's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great job on the build! It looks great! Looking forward to seeing it constructed. David of Solid Brix Studios is planning to do a MOC of Crait and spoke about building larger AT-M6 walkers. Perhaps he might use this design.
