New LEGO Speed Champions 2022 Rumors, Speculation

Agreedwith your choice! One of my favourite Aston-Martin (along with the Virage). Thankfully I spotted a new MoC recreating it beautifully. So I won't have to wait for Lego on that one :-)) https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-101310/SFH_Bricks/aston-martin-v8-vantage-1977/#details

New LEGO Speed Champions 2022 Rumors, Speculation

Many thanks Jpx I print my own stickers on water decal paper compatible with my inkjet printer. This works very nicely but is a bit time-consuming (particularly the cutting part). So, that’s why I am now partnering with a Dutch printing company - BrickStickerShop, which produces bespoke stickers for LEGO MOcs. Their products are as good as official LEGO stickers, if not better (particularly on the colour-matching front) If you are interested, here is the link to their site for the sticker sheets they have produced for my MOCs so far. https://www.brickstickershop.com/AbFab74 Cheers!

New LEGO Speed Champions 2022 Rumors, Speculation

I quite like the new coming series, but I am very disappointed with the Countach model. Whilst the rear end looks quite realistic and uses interesting Lego techniques, the front is a mix of a Lotus Esprit, Nissan 300 ZX or Ventury, but does not look anything like a Countach. No excuses since there are plenty of MOCs outh htere, which way much more accurate (like the my one or Barnieus one - both ). Lego should have found cuh more inspiration from these existing designs, rather than going for such a let-down creation, imo. Sad!

New LEGO Speed Champions 2022 Rumors, Speculation

Yes - I thought about the Ali-Express one but I was put off by the lazy design - too many stickers, which could have been easily replaced by parts, particularly with the Headlamps and taillamps. That's the reason I created mine with minimum stickers and which features a rear engine as as well :-)

Cheers, I can't wait to see your finished Chiron. btw re. the colour - I had the same problem and the only choice of colour compatible with all the parts I wanted was Black, white, blue or Red. Even the Medium or Dark Greys were not an option. Sad i wanted to give my Chiron a more distinctive look!

LEGO Speed Champions 8 Wide MOCs

Here is my latest MOC - The McLaren Senna in 8-studs. Not much left from the original Lego set, except for the Front end design and few re-used stickers. My favourite part: the tripe exhausts in real parts (rather than the ugly sticker on the 6-Studs model...

Interestingly, it is still not on display on Lego UK Website, but a Promotion video on the same website shows the new Elva model at the end... see link below Toy Cars – Drive What You Love | Vehicles | LEGO.com | Official LEGO® Shop GB I just wish Lego gave more 'Love' and prime time to their Speed Champions series, as opposed to some other themes...

New LEGO Speed Champions 2021 Rumors, Speculation

I certainly will on some of my MOCs, particularly the recent vehicles I modelled (the vintage ones work well with 'smaller' wheels) Any ideas when the new SC Sets will be available for Pre-order on the official Lego Website? It has been a week now since some Toy retailers have started taking pre-orders (Sadly none in the UK yet) - why is Lego soooo slow

Yes Central entertainment dashboard (probably with a sticker on the 1x1 tile) The bracket underneath is a minifig accessory (ref 65578) - quite an unusual part! ...and coincidently I used it for the RH side mirror on my latest MoC this week... see below Btw Did anyone spot the roof of the Dodge - It seems that Lego has introduced a new tile (6x4 with no studs)...

Thanks ever so much LegoMFP_David, I am very glad you like this latest model of mine; personally, I am pleased with the style but not too much with its sturdiness: the model is a bit fragile on the front end, due to lack of support in the area, (mainly because I did not use any traditional fenders, which tend to connect front parts nicely together) What I really liked with this project, was to include some chrome parts (I never used them before). I contacted a Dutch company, which did a great job, even if: 1. it wasn't cheap (c.£1 per part). 2. The extra chrome layer means that it is tricky to assemble clip the parts together. All in all I am pleased with this 'Chroming' experiment and have already retrofitted so more chrome-plated parts on some of my other SC creations (exhausts pipes in particular)

Cheers - at my end, I only have one fundamental question for them: WHY?? Well spotted - I think you are right - the round corner 2x2 part could be printed, however there is definitely a sticker on the tile round 1x1 quarter This could explain why the overall headlamp assy looks odd to me (i.e. gap between 2 parts + difference of colour depth).

New LEGO Speed Champions 2021 Rumors, Speculation

I think all of them use new rims, larger alloys and thinner profile tyres. For this reason, I suspect all of them have the border/lip between the rim and the tyre - not just the Jesko or GT. We can’t see it on the other models because the rims are black and Lego has photoshopped the pictures , imo. btw - from this whole lot, 1 particular feature deserves the Lego Oscar of Ugliness (and Laziness at the same time), I think: the headlamp stickers on the Ford GT. Seriously, were these stickers designed by a toddler? Even some AliExpress MOC stickers look better than that - that’s how low it is Given that the model doesn’t look much of anything without stickers anyway, Lego designers should have invested another couple of mins of their precious time, to do some half-decent stickers and redeem themselves a bit on the overall design front. Not like we have been already waiting for 1.5yr for this new SC series Anyway, If I buy this set (which I am increasingly likely not to) I’ll certainly replace those stickers by my own ones. Yep - so much better already, when introducing some curves on the front and rear wings. How could Lego get it so wrong? Hey Lego, time to hire some new designers for the future SC models...

Unfortunately no, the small lip is still there, but clearly it does not show on black rim (thanks to some photoshopping of Lego’s official pics). However, it is visible on the silver rims (i.e. the Jesko’s ones) Question: what kind of Transparent red part is used for the Elva’s taillights? Any ideas?

Yes; well spotted! I think you are right and this could also explain how they manage to fit a round dish, as a wheel cap inside a wheel, on both the C3 Corvette and the old Dodge. (That or they released a new dish with a smaller diameter than part 4740t All together, I find it quite exciting as larger alloys will look better on 8-studs Sportscars
