About Quothcorvus

  1. Mine turned up today, most outer box was damaged, but the inner brown box and black box were all ok. Inner packaging that holds the instructions was damaged though- creased and ripped in one corner. Inner boxes are ok and the instruction book isn't marked so not too bothered. I might ask Lego to send another instruction tray though. I can only guess it was packed with the damage already there.
  2. Mines gone from "In warehouse" to despatched, so hoping it will turn up next day or so. I think the first build video I saw was 38 hours for one person.
  3. Didn't manage to get one ordered before it went to back order. Just had a look at my account as I'd ordered a few other bits too and it is now showing as "In Warehouse"! Looks like it might be coming sooner than I thought it would! TBH I was expecting it to be shipping beginning of October. Doesn't look like its going to be available again any time soon, so glad I managed to get one ordered. Edit- to add, at what point do VIP points get added to your account, when the purchase is shipped?
  4. Saw it ping up early and was straight in- wife had already gone to work, heehee! Unfortunately it then crashed whilst I was trying to pay, though its now back up its on back order. Wasn't planning on getting it built till later on in the year anyway, but a bit disappointed missed out on bragging rights!!
  5. LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Been looking at parking as well, this one is 6pm to 2am as far as I can make out for the evening, still gonna cost 29 quid though. http://www.q-park.co.uk/parking/london/q-park-leicester-square
  6. LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Yep, that's correct, and the designers are going to be there. I've been told the event will end at 1.00am.
  7. I don't know much, but I do know that, as has been previously stated, the Leicester Square store is having a midnight launch- the designers will be there as well.
  8. SW: TLJ set reviews taken down from YouTube

I raised a question about a Star Wars product being ripped off last year (not Lego) and was told it is the licence holders responsibility to persue, not the original IP holder, though they (licence holder)are obliged to take action (I presume as part of the licence agreement). I know this is a bit of a different set of circumstances as its a licenced product legally obtained, but either TLG or Disney could be throwing their weight around, or both.

Cool, thanks for the info everyone!

I'm presuming if I was to put in three separate orders on Force Friday, provided they were each of £50, I would get a Scarif trooper for each one? I'm new to VIP having joined only recently so was unsure how it works!
  11. What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Picked up the AT-ST from Smyths at the weekend for £25, and took delivery of the UCS Snowspeeder yesterday, purchased for £110 (I had a £60 Lego voucher to use, so couldn't resist!)
  12. What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Just acquired a 2nd Battle of Scarif set, hovertank and Krennics shuttle from the Disney Store, all reduced.
  13. REVIEW: 75171 Battle on Scarif

HI guys, I picked one of these up in Billund earlier this year, and another a couple of days ago, Disney Store had them reduced by 50% in the UK.
  14. HI, lurker outing himself!

HI guys, my name is Jon and I've been lurking for a little while on here. Thought it about time to out myself! I'm mostly a Star Wars fan, but no doubt like most AFOLs on here, I've been playing with Lego as far back as I can remember. I found my way here through some of the impressive SW MOCs that are out there, hoping that some day I might be in a position to build one of my own. I'm hoping also to try to get to grips with some of the building software at some point. TTFN Jon.
