  1. Here is my entry to the story contest, enjoy. Fog poured through the window into the darkness, the moonlight obscured by clouds shone down, cutting through the mist like a sabre and providing some light to the dark bedroom. Through the shadows appeared a minifigure, inching forward, he leaned in smiling, light glimmering off his gold teeth. "Ah Captain Jack Sparra!" "Master Gibbs!...err your late." "But sir, I've been here since..." "Heresay and conjecture" Jack leveled his compass as Gibbs followed his bobbing head left and right before looking up. "Upsy daisy, savvy?" Gibbs hoisted Jack to his shoulders. Little Billy lay sleeping in his bed, his LEGO now of their own mind. "Classic-Pirates.com mate, they say the Pearls coming in November." "So what are we doin here exactly?" replied Gibbs. "You don't really expect me to wait until November to pillage and plunder do you?" "Aye I spose not." The Brickbeard's Bounty sat high atop the bookshelf. "Alright you skalliwag, HEAVE!" Shouted Jack. He and Gibbs pushed the Bounty with all their might, scraping wood and leaving a trail in the dust as she inched closer to the edge. Captain Brickbeard sprang forth from his tupperware tomb alerted by the noise. "STOP HIM!" Screamed Brickbeard, his crew now running toward the fading vessel as fast as their plastic legs could carry them. Gibbs pushed ahead as the classic LEGO inched in. From the rigging Jack taunted Brickbeard. "You will always remember this as the day you almost-" The ship teetered, rocking back and forth before tumbling over the edge and shattering into pieces on the watery blue colored carpet below. Gibbs stood shocked above looking over the mess. Jack pulled himself dazed from the brick wreckage... "...Cap'n Jack Sparrow..." The light clicked on. "MOM! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LEGO?!"

    Fountain of Youth 2.0

Wanted to use the original set mainly but make it more accurate. I know it's no where near perfect, but I think it's alot better. I only added 2 flat blue 2x4s to hold the pillar bases togeather and the flat grey bar to reinforce the arch of the Fountain. Other then that, I modded Barbossa since I also have the Isla De Muerta and wanted to change the characters up. I reimagined him as the Spanish Captain. You could make do without those minor changes and build this directly from the regular fountain set so I thought I'd share.

"MOM! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LEGO?"

Thank you once again for all of your help guys and gals! I have made a few more corrections and when I get some more free time tonight and going to continue to tighten up the story with some suggestions. I will also try to add a picture if I'm able to capture something appropriate for this scene. Would a mod be willing to please help me and remove the "S" at the end of my title?

    San Miguel Fortress

I really love this little moc. It's simple enough in design but complex in the way you built it. It also sort of reminds me of those little castles in Super Mario World.

"MOM! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LEGO?"

Thanks again to everyone for the praise and critism, its very helpful. I have returned to make some corrections, including puncuation, word usage, and excluding Jack's rape pillage and plunder line. Apologies to the LEGO fans. I have corrected the plural usage, and if a mod would be kind enough to do so in my title it would go greatly appreciated. I also corrected myself on the Pearl's November release. With the rape pillage and plunder line, my intention wasn't twoards women, but like you can rape a town or pirate ship as a verb. 7. to plunder (a place); despoil. 8. to seize, take, or carry off by force. I was remembering back to his line in the first film while attempting to board the Interceptor but I agree that it sends the wrong message so I removed it. Jack indeed would not nor need to do such a thing, given what we've seen of his luck with the ladies anyway. Again thank you, I just tryed to capture the idea that these figures came to life at night and I'm glad everyone was able to pick up on all of the ideas I put in there so smoothly. All other comments and critism welcome. And also a big thank you to the folks here hosting this fun contest.

    Queen Anne's Revenge MOC

I was waiting for someone to do this, very well done. I only wish it came like that from Lego.

I dont think its too off topic to discuss the movie, its important to the sets afterall, but yes I agree about being careful about spoilers. My review was ok though right? If anyones bothered I'll take it down, just let me know. Anyway great news! Rebooted 'Pirates' sets overseas box office record http://beta.news.yahoo.com/rebooted-pirates-sets-overseas-box-office-record-154209799.html This bodes well for future lego sets and a possible 5th installment!

    MOC Crimson Permanent Assurance

Wow, I apologise for digging up this relic from the past, but I had to comment, I've been slowly working my way back through all the MOCS and this is just great. Such a funny movie, Terry Gilliam is a genius and this totally captures the spirit of the movie. Really nice work on a very unique idea.

Who are you and why do you think my review had anything to do with you. Don't call me a troll, your attacking me now. I could care less what you think anyway. I was referring to the critics, I didn't even read your post before posting mine, wake up and realise that review wasn't special for you only. I came on and posted a what I thought. And if you don't know what I'm talking about there are reviews in-aptly titled "Fountain of Maggots" which claim the movie is a blind cash grab and outright lie about elements of the story.

Im sure Pirate fans will enjoy it, have a good time man. Rob struggled to get his footing a little in the opening scenes in London, they aren't bad, by any means, but you can tell he quickly got the hang of directing this sort of action as it goes on. I would have no problem with him returning to direct the 5th. The only thing you should be prepared for is it isn't as lighthearted as the others, the humors still there its just taking place against a more serious backround. Can't wait to see it again.

I saw the movie 8/10. Its better then AWE and on par with DMC. Darkest one yet, but great, loved the absence of Will and Elizabeth, didn't find Syrena and Phillip remotely annoying, their longest scene togeather without interuption is only about 45 seconds. The Spanish story is fine, Jack is in character the entire time, Blackbeard is an evil SOB. Sets didn't look fake, action was not half cooked, I could go on and on. Really don't understand where those complaints are coming from at all. The movie doesn't deserve any of the comments its getting from the critics, they are flat out wrong about 90 percent of what they claim to be problems. I really believe half didn't see the movie and just wanted to jump on the trash train, and the other half watched a crap quality bootleg at home. Only way to explain it really. Luckily real people who are seeing it all seem to agree that its awesome.

I've seen every poster and banner and theres no steam ships you describe. Only sailing ships, most feature the Queen Anne's Revenge, on fire from behind sailing into the sunset or into battle against other ships.

REVIEW: 4192 The Fountain of Youth

So glad I picked this set up, it was the new TV spot that sold me on it. It appears the climax with a sword fight between Blackbeard and Barbossa and their men will take place at the fountain, its basically the equivilant for this film that Isla De Muerta is to Black Pearl. Love the way it fits togeather and that like it's other Isla counterpart is compact and only $20. No play features though, thats a letdown, but still provides a cool set up so I'm very content. The only other set I'm planning on getting is the Queen Anne and eventually the Pearl when she's released. "The Fountain, is that where Jack be headed?" And my favorite Pirate/actor!

Thats also what I thought but based on the legos so maybe they got it wrong? Anyway my favorite TV spot so far :
