MOC: Lego Ideas - Space Shuttle (Saturn V Scale)

Hmm I paid just €100 for mine, but I see now that the price has gone up quite a lot.

Yeah they are silly expensive. My best bet is to try and score a used 10231 cheap. Then you’re just 2 short.

Think the 10231 is a good place to start. I got it, built it – and will soon take it apart to do a piece count / comparison.
  4. Hi, I don’t know if you meant me, but yeah everything is for sale at the right price. I have the Norwegian retailer wooden box (grey one with red writing) with four partions.
  5. Hi! I have got hold of a grey retailer box, with 4 partions inside. Was just wondering if anyone have any idea how much one of those are worth these days..?

Hey, what size sheet should I use for printing the stickers? A4? A5? I’m sending the file to my friend who make stickers.

Hey! Awesome model, and it will look super next to my Saturn V. I will get a used LEGO 10231 set soon, and I want to upgrade it to your design. Just downloaded the V2 instructions. So how far will I get with the parts from the 10231? As someone else have mentioned it would be really useful with a parts list with part number / design number. I can’t figure out how to get it from the stud.io file. Cheers.
  8. Guess I'll just have to wait until I receive it (some time after easter) and build it to see how the shocks in that particular set work. Yeah, that's what I figured too. I'll take your word for it, and just settle for the original included ones for now. Maybe they aren't as bad as I've got the impression of in this thread after all.
  9. Have been trying to find the ones from 9398 on lego.com – but they are out of stock. Don't know if they will ever be available again there..? On bricklink.com a set of 4 of those shocks cost an arm and a leg. That's why I wondered if any newer model shocks would fit.
  10. I know that this is an old thread, but I'll give it a go here anyway: Finally just got my hands on a «never played with, only for display» 8466, which i hope to receive by mail in a week or so. But as I have read here, there seems to be a problem with the weak shock absorbers. Been trying to find the same ones as originally included in the set, only extra hard, but can't seem to find any (at a reasonable price). Any ideas as to how to incorporate the newer shock absorbers (like the ones in e.g. 42000)? There are several differences in the design, but guess it's doable?
