GBC General Discussion
Frequenzberater replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The rotating track machine is an awesome idea. But I suppose it would be pretty hard to execute something like this in Lego because of the much less weight of the ball. But someone should definitely give it a try- 1108 replies

42141 - McLaren Formula 1™ Race Car
Frequenzberater replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What about opening Hood (the air damped cylinders of prevoius models were awesome), adjustable rear spoiler via linkage mechanism, wheel wings which turnes with the steering (like the real model), a gearbox (I am sure it is possible to fit something in), a diff lock or anything else which the prevoius three big F1 cars not have done (even better at some points) Its just dissapointing that its a pure display model again without any mechanical advantages. -

And again a pure display model with much too less functions for that size... Sadly exactly what I was expecting. -

I think its purpose is to prevent the drivingaxle from slipping out off the wheelhubs, which would be a total pain in the asstrology to reconnect. -

According to a recently published article on StoneWars.de, the technic supercar will be delayed for at least one year due to the shifted release of the related reallife car. Let the speculation begin. -

I expect, that there are a few different ways to assemble the set. Maybe the classic 3 in 1 option. So you are able to build a bigger scene by buying three of the sets. -

But I think at least moving breaks were possible. Somebody mentioned earlier in this thread, that this would be a good opportunity to bring back a successor of the old flex system. -

I expect the breakwires to be non functional and just installed for the looks. The technic theme is beginning to bore me, but I am waiting for the reviews. -

Thanks for the nice comments! The room is equipped like that since January and honestly, I never removed the dust from the models until today :D But I am planning to buy some kind of compressor with an air gun in order to clean it every few months.
