In this video, at 17:31 they show two of them, attached to each other, bit don't really talk about it: There is another example here, at 6:55, described as "a simple stepper": And again at 15:26, I've tried to make a couple other ones, in particular a ball pump and a lift arm module, based on instructions I found. And they sort of work, with lots of hand holding. For about 2 minutes, then they jam, or fall apart. I want to make one simple one, that just works, to gain a little confidence. Then, as I better understand whats going on, i plan to re-visit my earlier attempts and fix them. In a couple recent GBC videos, I have seen what was described as the smallest possible legal GBC module. Basically, it was 10x10x10, with a lift at one end. I would love to make this as my first GBC module. Does anyone have any more information, or even better, build instructions? I will probably need to BrickLink about half the parts, so it would make a nice cheap easy first module for me.

One of the things I want to do is automatic uncoupling, and some semi-realistic train operations. That is not possible with the default magnetic couplers. I understand, and appreciate the reason for the spring. It's just that, so far, I have lacked the patience, or the skill, to successfully assemble them. I look forward to seeing your pics, perhaps the solution is just me watching someone else do it.

I read some previous posts about using Kadee couplers, and they looked amazing. I ordered a couple sets, but I don't have the skills or the patience to assemble them. Getting that stupid little spring in there appears to be beyond me. Has anyone tried any other brands? Does anybody manufacture or sell pre-assembled couplers? I see that Atlas appears to have an O scale coupler, but I can't seem to find any more information about it.

Over the Christmas holidays, I wandered into a toy store that was having a 40% off renovation sale, and bought 60051: High-Speed Passenger Train, and 60052: Cargo Train. I was instantly addicted, and have been on a buying spree all month. Here is my Brickset link: http://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-m13d. Lego has taken over my living room, and I am OK with that! As you can probably tell, I am mostly interested in Trains, and train automation. I have been looking at SBrick and 4DBrix and will probably place orders with them soon, as well as with ME Models for some of the custom curves. I have also watched a lot of GBC videos, and want to try to building a couple GBC modules as well. I ordered 100 14mm plastic beads from AliExpress for that purpose. Mark
