Yep so did I. Every $1 spent on a LEGO product from the LEGO Shop is equivalent to 1 VIP Points. 100 VIP Points is worth $5. So if you purchase a $100 set, you'll receive100 points or $5 in VIP Points you can use on your next purchase. Or you can save them. Thanks to ordering the Death Star and a few other sets during the last Double VIP Points event I'm up to $90 worth of VIP Points in my account.

[MOC] [MOD] 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer
Hell_Hawk_33 replied to TheGeneralMoe's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Cool! I built 75055 a couple nights ago and really like it, but the flat bottom isn't ideal. I really like what you did for that. -
I'm a sucker for VIP Points.

Received my big order of bricks from the LEGO Shop on Monday. So altogether I have about 63% of the bricks in hand. I see that I can order many more through LEGO's replacement brick system, so I will go that route for the next batch. Whatever is left will get ordered from BrickLink. It's all coming together!

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

So this is this directly from a store's system then? This would pretty much confirm it, no? -
Really liking this thread and all the mods. I have 75105 and like it, but from time to time I enjoy tinkering with the interior. There are lots of good ideas posted in here.

This is my first time posting a modded set on here, so hopefully you guys like what I did. I used a lot of custom X-Wings on this forum as inspiration for certain parts, and some parts I came up with on my own with trial and error. I wanted to go with a generic Red Squadron look, utilizing reference photos of the X-Wing's in Star Wars: Battlefront. As you can see I went heavy on the cosmetic mods. Here's a few shots of the overall ship: Pretty much rebuilt the cannon assembly from end to end: Added purple dishes to the engines to better match the color emitted by the engines. Orange dishes never looked quite right. Also built an S-Foil Actuator as the rear end looked naked without it: Added some parts to make the Power Generator and Deflector Shield Generator, as well as some vents: Added some extra detail to the cockpit with a Targeting Computer, emergency pistol, a couple decorated tiles, and a joystick: Built some landing gear. The front gear folds up into nose, but the rear two need to be removed when not in use. I built opening and closing compartments to cover their mounting location. You can also see the extra detail added to the engines: Lastly I built a quick little thing for mounting the ladder onto the cockpit:

Thanks for the kind words, folks. 9493 definitely is a outdated looking, but works as a good base. If I can find another on the cheap I plan to do the same mods, but in Blue Squadron colors. Might be a summer project with the lack of new sets I plan to buy.

Thank you for the nice comments guys. :)

Nice. Love what you did for the cockpit and interior.

Haha, wouldn't that be nice?! Also placed an order through Pick-a-Brick on the LEGO Shop for 1545 pieces. I went that route first as I'm a sucker for VIP Points. Will get the rest shortly through BrickLink.

I was browsing Canadian Tire (a store in my country that sells automotive things, household products, tools, paints, garden products, sporting goods, and some toys). I found some AT-AT Microfighters on the shelf so I grabbed two of them. I only wanted the two minifigs for this project, but after dumping out all the pieces I was pleasantly surprised to find about 50% I needed for the plus size AT-AT.

Picked up two AT-AT 75075 Microfighters today. I just wanted the two minifigs for my plus size AT-AT project, but I found a lot of the pieces I needed for the same project!
-
Thanks for the tip. I'll try this feature out and see what it comes up with. I sorted through my inventory tonight and came up with 10% of the required pieces. I got them put aside so I guess you could say I am started on this project.

You may be onto something here. I scrolled down the list of stores to some that only had 200-220 lots and yeah, I think if I do divide up the list and buy from a few different stores it will indeed save money. I assumed if you bought all 260 lots from one seller that would be the best bargain but it just goes to show what a novice I am at this.

I am speaking in the Canadian currency. I thought I could get the pieces for cheaper but I guess not. Here's a couple screen shots of the top few results on BrickLink when I search for the complete list of parts, just so you know I'm not crazy. I am new to BrickLink, but I followed the links on the first page and exported the parts list to BrickLink. I then created a new wanted list in my profile and selected the "Buy All" option. I'm pretty sure I didn't make an error as it seems a straight forward process.

I must say I'm in awe every time I see pictures of the completed build. It is beyond impressive. I put the BrickLink list together to see what kind of a cost I would be looking at. Sadly I can't afford the $1000+ to build this right now, so I guess I'm stuck hunting for a 75054 to modify. Perhaps over time I'll acquire the necessary pieces a few at a time. Until then I'll keep enjoying the pictures posted here.

Purchased a MIB Snowspeeder 75049 from BrickLink last night. Now I just need to get an AT-AT so I can have something for the speeder to wrap it's tow cable around.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

I like it. Not sure if I'll buy it, but I think it looks alright. -
I agree with the need for Battle Packs to provide us with figures we have a low chance of seeing in future sets. I'd love a Rebel pilot pack. Any assortment consisting of Antoc, Wedge, Dutch, Garven, Luke (w/ a printed visor or visor on his helmet) would be an instant buy for me.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

I hope you're right and it is an AT-AT and not one of those hideous Walkers from TFA. -
I'd love if we got that. Even better if it opens up like the last Falcon so you can see inside the main compartment, cockpit, lower escape hatch, etc. But if it is made it needs to have the entire crew: Cassian, Jyn, Baze, Chirrut, K-2, Bodhi, and a couple Rebel troops (Pao and Melshi for sure).

Decided to take advantage of the last day of Double VIP Points at the LEGO Shop and ordered up Y-Wing Microfighter 75162, Battle on Scarif 75171, A-Wing Starfighter 75175, and 153 pieces from Pick-a-Brick. :)

Very happy to have stumbled upon this thread. I love all the cool photos. :) I won't have anything to exciting to contribute. Just sets placed on a black sheet. Millennium Falcon 75105
