  1. I came across Madoca's New Supercar recently, and it sparked the inspiration to build something similar. Here's the first stage of my WIP. The chassis is almost the same as Madoca's original, but it no longer uses a servo and instead uses an old hockey spring. Also thinking about giving it yellow rims, would like to hear your thoughts on that. Any other feedback is appreciated as well.
  2. I've always wanted to build a hexapod with a separate NXT motor for each joint, maybe 3 joints in each leg and then 2 to rotate the different sections of the body (each body section would have 2 legs), but I don't have the money for 20 motors, nor do I have the time to code that monster.
  3. To be completely honest, I wasn't all that happy with the lime myself, but it was the only color that I had enough flex axles to make the wheel arches, and I think it turned out decent, but not perfect.
  4. I'd like to make instructions, but school's keeping me busy. Feel free to reverse engineer thought, I don't mind at all.
  5. Once this gets rolling I'll see if there's anything I can do. The idea is genius though, I want to see how it plays out!
  6. Thought of this idea today. 12/21/12, the end of the Mayan calendar, was last year. Maybe something like "The End of the World was n Years Ago" would be a cool theme, and it could progress every year (as the post-apoc civilizations progress, as the aliens take over, etc.).
  7. Finally got my hands on a camera, this thing's been done for a couple of days. I ended up using a Toyota GT86 as the inspiration for the front end, I think it turned out quite well. Final pictures in this Flickr set. Any and all feedback is appreciated!
  8. Arctic Explorer This entry is based around the theme of Arctic Explorer. To start, there is an arctic truck with front independent suspension, rear swing arm suspension, and wide tires to prevent sinking into snow. This truck tows a sled with wide skis, also for going over deep snow without sinking. Finally, a small and portable ice drill for scouting potential locations for research. To make sure it's as portable as possible, the main drill folds.
  9. ....and I'm stuck. Anyone have suggestions for what the front of this car should look like? I have no clue what to make it.
  10. Got them from the Nitro Menace, set 8649. I think a toy look is what I'm going for, especially with the following changes. I changed the flex axles to Lime, and made the mirrors/exhaust pipes white. I think it looks pretty good. I also added a working steering wheel: Any and all feedback is appreciated, as usual.
  11. Yes, rear leaf spring suspension just like the original. I have no idea what I'm doing Might change the tail light border to dark bley. Thoughts?
  12. Trucktober sound like a great idea, especially heading into the winter season
  13. Bodywork getting started, for now very similar to the New Supercar. This is probably as much as I'm going to "copy," the rest is going to be somewhat Lamborghini-styled.
  14. More of spaceships rather than boats. It's a sort of annual tradition.
  15. I don't have to use one Especially because I don't own one
  16. I'm back with another Triple WIP! This time, my models are centered around an arctic theme, the first model being an arctic truck. Here's the chassis at it's current state: The other two models will be revealed later, so stay tuned! Feedback is always appreciated
  17. I feel like if it was bigger it wouldn't be realistic...It's supposed to be an arctic explorer, not a research station, so the drill needs to be portable.
  18. Finished Model 1: Arctic-style truck. Model 2: Sled Model 3: Ice drill Now to choose between the two entries...
  19. On the top, cut rigid tubing, on the bottom, one long flex axle. Just some liftarms, nothing too special.
  20. Some more angles would be nice, thanks.
  21. "No cutting parts" does that include pneumatic/rigid tubing?
  22. If I had the parts, I definitely would build this in orange/red. But I think dark colors look just as good...
  23. It's the switch for the battery box. No, but that is an idea...
