FBTB has their more detailed pictures of the new LotR sets up! I love the Council of Elrond & The Black Gate sets the most.

No new Anduril mold? I'm disappointed with that. Re-using the Uruk helmet on a Mordor Orc? I'm disappointed with that as well. However, the set prices redeem those problems. Only $60 for The Black Gate and $30 for Council of Elrond? I'm sold! I do love these new sets. EDIT: Brickforge has a good Anduril-style sword: http://www.brickforge.com/store/home.php?cat=384

Great MOC! I like the look of the tower: simplistic, but it works.

Unfortunately, that's as far the rock will be pushed out. The rest has to be done by hand.

What if you had a machine that could make any LEGO piece, set, or mini
Mr_Malfoy replied to ToastyLlama's topic in Community
I would make every single LEGO set I want to get but don't have the money, along with lots of Uruk-hai Army and Orc Forges. -
I'm warming up to these sets more and more. The only bad thing about the sets are the terrible siege machines. Way too blocky for my taste.

30 minutes? That's fast!

Even though this theme looks terrible, I like the look of the Dragon Mountain set. Nice and dark-looking.
-
It kind of works for Castle, but WOW! That MOC is fantastic! I love the stairs and the statues in front!

Ever found a piece that doesn't belong in a set?
Mr_Malfoy replied to Sir Walter Maugham's topic in General LEGO Discussion
After building Arkham Asylum Breakout, I had an extra 1x5 rounded column piece left over. -
Hello, As the new year dawns upon us (and has already come for some), what are your plans for your LEGO in 2013? Is there anything LEGO-related you did in 2012 that you now regret? My plans for 2013 are focusing on Lotr & the Hobbit (army-building, the new sets, and MOCs). I regret not focusing on the theme earlier. How about you? Any LEGO plans for 2013?

As for the discussion over the Mordor Orcs having incorrect armor for The Siege of Minas Tirith and The Battle of Pelennor Fields, has anyone looked at the Moria Orcs? Just a bit of repainting around the top (green to ... um... mud?) and switching out the arms would make pretty accurate armor. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sidersdd/7174535574/

LEGO's Jabba's Palace, Star Wars, and accusations of racism
Mr_Malfoy replied to ticktockclock's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Jar Jar Binks. That character is just dripping with black stereotypes. -
Thanks for the tip. Perhaps $50?

LEGO's Jabba's Palace, Star Wars, and accusations of racism
Mr_Malfoy replied to ticktockclock's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The set doesn't even resemble the mosque at all! Thanks for the laugh though. It's as idiotic as people complaining about 11 - inch footlongs at Subway and how Beyonce lip-synched at the Inaugaration. -
10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout. I couldn't wait any longer to buy it. I love it!

My copy of The Bat vs. Bane: Tumbler Chase came in from Amazon today. I love it! Now I'm saving up for the Arkham Asylum set...

Set Falling apart while trying to build.
Mr_Malfoy replied to Savage Oppress's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The Burrow from HP fell apart on me once. Otherwise, no, no problems here. -
Nice! The only thing I would do is add a small bridge, Frodo, and a Nazgûl on a Fellbeast. I think it is possible that LotR sets could be based off of multiple movies, kind of like the 2010 HP sets.

I'm currently sorting my LEGO now into Ziploc Bags. I don't dust my sets on display, but that must be a good idea.
