Press Release 10237 - Tower of Orthanc
Mr_Malfoy replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
No, it won't fit on the top, it's too big. The top of Orthanc is meant to be bland (just the roof for minifigs to stand on and for Saruman to curse the weather ). -

Oh yeah, the price is definitely going to spike once it's out of production ($400 -$700, maybe even $1,000?). Also, did anyone else notice that we get several of the new Gothic arches in black? -

I don't think it that's important. If the back is grey, one could cover it up with brown plates and some 1x1 square studs to give it some texture. -

Amazing. I've never such an enormous amount of attention to detail in any set. The Ent is awesome, but the eagle is, eh, OK. This is the best exclusive set of 2013, period. :wub_drool: -
Amazing MOC! You really captured the feel of Minas Morgul, dark and creepy. Nice work !

Those are pretty weird. I think the train one is the weirdest (copy of the Hogwarts Express?), but I do like the look of the train station, but the one with the almost naked driver is very odd as well.

Amazing! The detail here is superb. -
The official website is now up, and gives us a bit more information on the characters and a bit on the plot (but not too much). http://www.lego.com/en-gb/theloneranger/

ASK HERE MOC-stuck? Ask for general building advice here!
Mr_Malfoy replied to mrklaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi, I've been planning to expand the Colby City Showdown set with several other buildings. I've already added a town hall, but I also plan to add a general store, a saloon, and a hanging contraption. What type of design makes a building "western"? What features set them apart? Thanks in advance for any tips! -
Great MOC! I like the movement of the statue and the throne.

Fantastic floor techniques! I love these interiors!

Same here! She's now shaping up to be my favorite character.

Nice MOC! Very unique design. Yes, the sand green roof pieces are from the HP theme. They were last seen in Hogwarts Castle (4842) and Hogwarts (4767).

Thanks for the tipoff Kez! These sets are fantastic! The Stagecoach () is my favorite.
