I believe that this wave might be, as Gryphon Ink said, "the middle wave". They'll probably more than four sets in 2014. I've got a feeling that the rehash of Castle (which looks terrible), will only last one wave.

I purchased Barrel Escape today, ordered Mirkwood Spiders from Amazon, and filled up one of my holiday Pick a Brick boxes with light grey 1x4s, bamboo, rubies, small barrels, and blue studs.

I love all these sets. My favorites so far are the Black Gate and Council of Elrond. EDIT: did anyone else see the light brick function on the Black Gate set? It looks like they smushed the Black Gate and Barad-Dur together.

Administrator "Rick" locked my post? What is going on?
Mr_Malfoy replied to Cardinal's topic in Forum Information and Help
Honestly, Cardinal, Eurobricks is a great place for LEGO discussion. The way you came in and openly accused LEGO and designing the new Sci-Fi theme to fail just wasn't a good introduction, just like how MstrOfPppts said. As for freedom of speech, I'm American too, but I don't crazily love it (Ever heard of Westborough Baptist Church?). -
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Brilliant. Perfect. Fantastic. The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) - One of the best Disney films, in my opinion.
-
I saw that Wal-Mart had Weathertop priced at $45 a few days ago. That's a far more sensible price, if you ask me .
-
Agreed. I really wish he got him instead of Yazneg in Atttack of the Wargs.

I heard some where that the Black Gate set will cost $80-$90, so 7 minifigs isn't a stretch, although you're probably correct about the fact that they'll most likely only include one molded creature.

Everyone seems to be talking about an Eagle set, but no one seems to be discussing about the Eagle themselves. I have a feeling they'll be molded, like they are in the videogame (I think). As for the 2013 sets, I'm hoping for this. Wizard Battle - Gandalf the Grey, Saruman, and a section of Orthanc: Saruman's throne, the Palantir with stand, and door with two pillars (I'm still hoping for a larger Orthanc set, though). Council of Elrond - Elrond (Rivendell), Arwen, Frodo, Old Bilbo, Old Gloin, Boromir, and two structures: the patio where the council occured with the circle of chairs and the table in the middle, another building containing the room where Frodo is healed & the hall with the statue with the pedestal with the broken sword on it, and a bridge between the two structures. Battle at the Black Gate - Aragorn (Gondor armor), Gandalf the White, Mouth of Sauron, Mordor Orc (2x), Rohirrim, Gondorian Soldier, Armored Troll, Giant Eagle, and three main structures: the actual Gate and the two Towers of the Teeth (I think that's their name). Pirate Ship Ambush - Aragron, Legolas, Gimli, Corsairs (3x - and one that resembles Peter Jackson), King of the Dead, Oathbreaker (3x), Mordor Orc Captain (one with the skull on his head), and includes a Corsair ship, a dock, and some scenery to represent the Dimholt. I'm still hoping for Balrog, Treebeard, and Orthanc sets.

Great MOC! I love the round design of the fortress.

I don't own Goblin King Battle or Arkham Asylum, but I do own The Batcave and Helm's Deep. In my opinion, go with Lord of the Rings.
-
Gorgeous. I love the partly broken-in door and the custom Orcs.

I love how this MOC is shaping up. I hope we get a set of Dol Goldur before the Hobbit theme ends (besides the Gandalf polybag).
-
I would definitely buy that. I really hope we get a LotR advent calendar somewhere down the line.
-
Really? Wow, a lot happens in one year. As for 2013, I'm most excited for The Council of Elrond and Battle at the Black Gate.
-
Great MOC! I love the stone ruins and the young sapling tree.

Gorgeous. I love the chandelier.

Just a couple of ideas (OK, quite a few ideas): THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING: 1. The Last Alliance - ($79.99) Isildur, Elendil, Sauron, Elves (2x), Men (2x), Mordor Orcs (2x) Includes weapons rack, slopes of Mount Doom, minifigure flipper, lava catapult 2. Bree - ($69.99) Frodo, Aragorn, Barliman Butterbur, Doorkeeper, Ringwraith (2x) Includes the Prancing Pony, the gate (with collaspible function), another building, well, shed, 2 Ringwraith horses, a cow, a pig, two chickens, and two goats. 3. Ringwraith Chase - ($14.99) Arwen, Frodo, Ringwraith Includes two trees, a bush, Arwen's horse, Ringwraith's horse, and some water. 4. Rivendell - ($49.99) Elrond, Gandalf, Frodo, Old Bilbo, Aragorn, Arwen Includes patio where Council of Elrond occurs, bridge, library, Frodo's healing room, waterfall, tree, and hall with statue bearing the broken shards of Narsil. 5. Bridge of Khazad-Dum - ($39.99) Gandalf, Moria Orc (2x) Includes bridge of Khazad-Dum (with collapsing function), and brick-built Balrog. 6. Lothlórien - ($29.99) Galadriel, Frodo, Celeborn, Gimli Includes two tree houses connected by bridge, Galadriel's mirror (with flipping function), foliage, and rack for Galadriel's gifts. 7. Amon Hen - ($34.99) Boromir, Aragorn, Uruk-hai (3x) Includes three trees and the ruins of Amon Hen. THE TWO TOWERS: 1. Treebeard Encounter - ($39.99) Merry, Pippin, Grishnakh, Rohirrim Includes two tree, brick-built Treebeard, horse, and Uruk-hai camp. 2. The Dead Marshes - ($14.99) Sam, Frodo, Gollum Includes marshland with bushes, water, and pop-up dead Noldor Elf. 3. Edoras - ($89.99) Theodén (with reversible face [Cursed/Normal]), Eowyn, Grima, Gandalf the White, Rohan Soldier (2x), Rohan Civilians (3x and a Baby) Includes the Golden Hall, stable, armory, civilian building, well, trough, two flagpoles, horse, two chickens, pig, and a goat. 4. Warg Attack - ($19.99) Rohan Soldier (2x) Warg Riders (2x) Includes two horses, two Wargs, scenery. 5. Attack on Isengard - ($119.99) Saruman, Grima, Merry, Pippin, Mordor Orc (4x) Includes Orthanc, two Ents, boulders, and some scaffolding/machinery with self-destruct function. 6. Osiligath - See Nuju Metru's design (the best idea for an Osiligath set). RETURN OF THE KING: 1. Minas Morgul - ($59.99) Frodo, Sam, Gollum, Witch-King, Mordor Orc (2x) Troll Includes section of the Secret Stairs, and the tower, gate, bridge, and wall of Minas Morgul (glow in the dark). 2. Corsair Ambush - ($69.99) Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Mordor Orc with skull on head, Corsairs (3x - one as PJ) Oathbreakers (3x) Includes Corsair ship, dock, and rocks. 3. Minas Tirith -($$$ [?]) Not sure what it should look like, but should include Gandalf, Pippin, Denethor, Faramir, Gondorian Soldier (4x), Nazgul (2x) Gothmog, Mordor Orc (6x), and Easterling (3x). Will be edited for more ideas in the morning, too tired to finish now...

Nice MOC! I love the roof technique you used on the Golden Hall of Medusheld.

I'm just putting in my two cents, I honestly think that a Fellbeast could be either molded of brick-built. Either way, $20 is an ideal price for a Witch-King set: Théoden King, Eowyn, Merry, and the Witch-King () with Théoden's horse and the Fellbeast. Here's what I expect for the 2013 sets known so far: Wizard Battle (Isengard) - Saruman, Gandalf, Grima Wormtongue, and a few Mordor Orcs (maybe an Ent or two), with Orthanc and maybe some machines. The Council of Elrond - Elrond, Frodo, old Bilbo, Arwen, and another member of the Fellowship, with the location of the Council, Frodo's room, and the statue with the broken sword Anduril(?). Battle at the Black Gate - Gandalf the White, Mouth of Sauron (), Aragorn in Gondorian armor, two Mordor Orcs, the troll Aragorn fights, three horses, the actual Gate, and the two towers (). However, it should include a Rohirrim and a Gondorian soldier and maybe two Easterlings and another Orc if it wanted to be perfect. Pirate Ship Ambush - The trio (Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli), three Corsairs (one as PJ), two Orcs, the King of the Dead, several Oathbreakers, a Corsair ship, a small dock, and a little gate to represent the Paths of the Dead. Treebeard Encounter - Merry, Pippin, Grisnakh, Orc, Rohirrim, Treebeard, some trees, the Orc camp, and a horse. Bridge of Khazad-Dum - Gandalf (again ), two Moria Orcs, Frodo, the Balrog (please be the one from the videogame... please be the one from the videogame...), and the collapsing bridge. As for Minas Tirith, I think Nuju Metru's design is the best way to do it.
