Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
SwissBrick replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I would rate GG as European too actually, but you're right, no Italian typical one yet. As the architecture there is so magnificent, we definitely need one! -
LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
SwissBrick replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The Ninjago City was the best Lego build ever for me.. I am more into modulars but this one was really a step above.. A mix between steampunk and modulars, with a lot of details and unique building techniques. And cool features, like with the crab cooking grill, details I did not pay attention with modulars Have you seen the extended movie trailer? -

The Ninjago City set 70620 is now available on shop@home! At least on the swiss store - Maybe for VIP only though.. Just ordered, you get 2 promotional goodies along: 5004916-1: Kai's Dojo Pod and the less useful 5004936-1: Iconic Cave -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
SwissBrick replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Don't know.. personally I buy other sets because i need my lego fix, but would 150% buy another or even more modulars each year instead of other lego themes.. But it has been discussed here over and over to see an additional 16 wide modular so I am not expressing my own only opinion... However I can understand that people are also interested in other themes.. Personally, I prefer the ones fitting with modulars, i.e. GBHQ, Haunted House, or even fairground sets or earlier creator full size houses. Anyway, let's brick on! -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
SwissBrick replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Hello, I tend to disagree here.. It's been years that AFOL request 16 wide modulars on top of the 32 (48) wide modular released each year.. The 3 in 1 creators sets truly introduce younger builders to modulars techniques, but even if you buy multiple copies, it will not be sufficient to make a full 16 wide "grand" build with the same intend TLG does when creating the official ones. TLG did not follow this curve and I assume they have good reasons not to do so, but still, a smaller release in the summer with approximately 1000+ bricks would be a seller, I am quite sure about that. As for the choice in the 60-80 pounds, well there are some nice pieces (i.e. great vehicules), but none targeted to adult "modular" fans.. If I could I'd make a vote here, who would like to see a 16 wide modular in addition to the expected 32 wide one every year? -
Splendid! I am not a fan of cars, but this has so much style.. Excellent design, even the minifig could not be more appropriate.. Thanks for sharing and inspiring OutBricks! There are very few builds with not so many bricks that are that well executed and cry out for design masterpiece.., I am very impressed - will try to copy. Thanks again!

Wow, so many things to look at.. You have a great sense of details and scenery Koalayummies.. Love the building, the interior, the color scheme, the minifigs and the van, looks like a complete official building that has the older modular "grand" aspect and the newer modulars details level & story telling, and even more.. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!

Hello, Your build is one of my favorite moc ever and definitely the best I've seen this year, congratulations! The nice combination of the different floors, the impressive footprint and height (love the 1st pic), the right color, all in all it is a must see! Thanks a lot for sharing and inspiring!

Hi! Yes me too, I really love how it works, but on a bigger scale, I'd have to see it again.. How about a train station with 2 Horizon Express, would you make it "just" longer or would you add more details? Many thanks again for sharing, looks great!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
SwissBrick replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Ok, 10 to 20 more years to go, so cool! I like the story behind the scenes, I also prefer the red version of MS.. and like the first version of GG as well, but I understand the rational behind the final sets.. Did not know about MS designer being invited and only spent 2 days on it.. Thought it was more like the lego ideas process.. I hope Jasper Joppe Geers will be invited sometime for a weekend.. He would be the only one to replace Jamie, not on the product governance but on the design itself.. -
Nice! Could be an official set! You actually respected the new trend of more compact/more detailed modulars, while keeping the feeling of it being "grand".. Well done and thanks for inspiring! PS: And I like the car as well

Our FIRST ever MOC- Police Station Modular *UPDATED*
SwissBrick replied to swisstony's topic in LEGO Town
Wow, cannot believe this is your first moc.., well done! Both inside and outside have great details! I would only change (but have no ready to go solution) the blue stripe in the middle of the facade, other than that I would not change anything, bravo! -
Hi! I know nothing about cars, but the firs one (Datsun) is just brilliant, wish TLG would produce such a set! Did you consider posting on Leg ideas? Thanks for sharing

MOD: Park Street Townhouse 31065 as a modular row of houses
SwissBrick replied to finnbricker's topic in LEGO Town
Charming and creative! Thanks for inspiring, I never made a good modular out of usual smaller creators sets.. Excellent!- 15 replies

I added a second HE to my city and it is a great addition as the train looks much more realistic.. The fairground mixer is a great set as well, but it does not fit as perfectly as the Horizon Express.. Hope it helps!

MOD: Vacation Getaways 31052 as a modular building
SwissBrick replied to finnbricker's topic in LEGO Town
Yes, Switzerland is expensive for usual products like tomatoes.. but for products with high added value, it is cheaper (VAT at around 7%), so if you buy legos, a computer, or a car, it is very often cheaper.. Very nice build out of it! Do you foresee to add an interior? Thanks for sharing!- 10 replies

Love it, wish TLG would produce such a set! You could nicely complete it with the other theme park sets and add some scenery, greenery and details on the ground.. Very well done and thanks for sharing!

I am impressed, both passions work very well together, motoring culture and Lego! Thanks for sharing, I love the details and realistic look & feel! Also the outside details like the phone poles and the back end "dump" add a lot! Cheers!

Wow, I was lucky to start from scratch in 2007, but then, never had the chance to have 3 modulars in a row in a short period of time.. Enjoy, the awaiting will be long once you have all and need to wait one year before the next release.. Have fun building!
