How to integrate Ninjago city & Docs.. I believe a river could be nice, opening to the see, but it also has to connect with the city (river included).. IMG_4312 by Simon Flury, sur Flickr Here is my current town layout construction, work in progress.. Feedback , ideas, improvements & suggestions would be appreciated... Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Love the art gallery/studio @koalayummies! I think police station is covered by Detective Office, I like the subtle angle of it.. Or like Pet Shop replacing a Zoo...That's why I believe an art gallery would be a better fit than an art museum for the modular line.. even though a natural museum would do it, not sure a subtle version of it would be effective, or perhaps an antique shop with all sorts of old stuff.. - Video tape renting store (ok, DVD for millenials) - Complete apartment block (Art deco style) - A master house - A 16 wide sort of skyscraper - Car dealer - A park - Not appealing for new customers - A town square (no buildings) - Not appealing for new customers - A bridge (for those who would integrate a river or those who would integrate the Ninjago City and Docks set and make a river to continue through the city) - Not appealing for new customers - BUT THERE IS WATER IN EVERY SINGLE CITY.. they are built around it.. - A tower/gate (like tower bridge without the bridge) - School - Skate park - Building with inside shopping lane like we can see in Italy (a big empty square in the middle and shops all around) - Building with arcade shopping lane - Start the suburb of our modular city - individual houses like creator houses but in expert mode - Subway station - this is not reasonable, but would be fun for those having multiple story cities - Not appealing for new customers - Does not come here, but a new monorail would be fantastic - A theatre/opera - A swimming pool - actually would be more fun along the fairground sets, with toboggans and so on.. - More beach or marine theme buildings to go with the Old Fishing Store - etc..

Thanks a lot for your help Fuppylodders, there was effectively an issue with the technic gears on top, where the wheels move the cars.. It was working well without the motor, but with the speed of the motor, it could not follow-up

10261 LEGO Creator Expert Roller Coaster

Hello Community! I have issues with the rollercoaster, just motorized it today, and it keeps on "gripping" or even stopping either when the wagons are climbing, or at te top when the wheels push them.. Have tried to change the amount of "chains" but still the issue seems somewhere else, as sometime the motor does not even make the chain move.. Any idea on how to solve it would be very appreciated! Thanks in advance for your advices!

Not sure TLG reads this topic, but... for the first time ever in my order history, my package will arrive tomorrow (even if I combined multiple sets in the order).. wow, unlike in other countries, delivery is announced to 4 days and not 2.. So 2 days delivery time for my country is great... Thanks TLG! Question, do you integrate the fairground sets in your cities? If yes, how do you make the "bridge" between areas, do you put a forest in between, integrate in city center..?

Actually it worked! (I hope) Added to the cart on S@H in France, then instead of changing delivery address I changed the country on the top menu to Switzerland, had to "accept" and then went on to payment page.. Got the order number but still did not receive the confirmation email either.. So not sure this workaround will work.. If not working, I am going to spread the news badly and heavily.. as mentioned before, this is unacceptable from such a big company, where quality and "high price" go along.. If you send a mass email to all of your VIP registered customers to announce that the long awaited set is available and when you click, there are multiple bugs and you are unable to proceed to purchase... Common.. In another context (i.e. apple), it would have an impact on stock price.. TLG, please revisit and insource your IT dpt.. Tired of all these issues with new long awaited releases.. it's not like you did not have time to get ready for it or postpone sets availability.. Confirmation email received!!!

It works on shop at home France but not Switzerland... I can add it to my cart in France, but cannot change the shipping address to Switzerland.. Will try to find a trick though..

I love the set, instant buy for me! But what really bugs me - at least on s@h in Switzerland is that the motor piece 88000 is not available on the store... It was the same story with the winter village train... TLG sells a set, promotes motorized accessories and they are not available.. Even though the other "half", 8883, is available.. What about in other countries? For me it is not a great strategic move.. I will not wait and buy the accessory at a later stage when it becomes available and have to pay extra shipment fees...

[PRESS RELEASE] 10260 - Downtown Diner

Looks amazing, like usual, thanks a lot LegoSjaak! Can't wait to see it in your layout, wonder where it will fit.. Looking forward! If I would take time, I would make a single story building XL, only keeping the dinner part and placing it in a middle of a crossroad as a standalone..

[PRESS RELEASE] 10260 - Downtown Diner

Same for me... any chance to complain and get some free VIP points ;-) I placed the two transparent cup pieces on the bar, below the orange/green juice distributors, they hold perfectly.. For the pancake, have to figure it out..

[PRESS RELEASE] 10260 - Downtown Diner

Yes there is definitely a step change in the approach to modulars, being style, no more classic heads, more secret before release, story telling in a different way (can't really explain why), a very different designer video (I really enjoyed it - even if I dislike the Dinner at first sight), now will it be successful..? I bet yes. I will be buying the set anyway and I am sure many of the collectors as well, plus some new customers maybe.. I think with this set, TLG has targeted younger fans (size, story telling, car, new faces..), current ones (60's style, different color scheme, techniques, corner/non-corner..) and older ones (time reference, looks a little like town plan somehow, marketing approach - when I was a kid, I .. -). I was not fond of this building at all when the first picture leaked, I am still not in love like with PR, but I definitely like it more, thanks to the new marketing approach, buzz, designers' video, new style.. controversy.. well done TLG!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Besides CC when it got out.. And then all the "after build commentaries" were taken into account in GG, can't remember such debates at that time.. I think it started with FB.. Also, how are we gonna do now, Diner.. only one word, after CC, MS, GG, GB, GE, PS... only "D" c'mon..

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

That made me laugh! Thanks Brick Dangerous! I might get 2 sets but would try to make one big single story building with nice round corners, that's for me the essence of a dinner, nothing higher than one floor and rounded corners, + the big Diner sign Then I would place it in the middle of my city, in between road plates, not sitting next to another modular.. At least that's the plan without full fledged picture of the set..

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Me too, I just spend all my creativity at work and when I do "Lego", I just enjoy the relaxing and meditative effect of building, being surprised by new techniques etc.. As for the colors and so on, everyone's opinion is legit and none should criticize others' opinions... You're not alone :-) Sometimes there is traction about a city layout, sometimes not.. it was more the case 5-6 years ago, but nowadays there is much more traction on incredible MOCs, and there are plenty of them.. Not fond of the diner as it is today, but I already know I will have to get it. Cheers!

Yep! i was looking at a plain black complicated antenna, but you're right, this could be it, well spotted! If this is legit, you're probably right ;-)

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

OMG, did not even think of it.. but if it has some hints (don't know the word in English) with the Edward Hopper painting (https://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/beta/asset/nighthawks/6AEKkO_F-9wicw?hl=fr&ms={"x"%3A0.5%2C"y"%3A0.5%2C"z"%3A9.879671857123121%2C"size"%3A{"width"%3A1.3871118164062495%2C"height"%3A1.6783109465676536}}) then it is a must buy on day one for me, even if I don't love it at first sight seeing the exterior..

That'd be a great addition to the Modular City Boettner Builds, great idea.. It would bring something fresh and new :-) But where would be the antenna hiding?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

That would make a lot of food in the street - 2 restaurants (PR + 10260), 2 Cafés (CC + AS), a Food market (MS), a bakery (AS), Junk food (PC).. Anyhow, I pretty much like the overall look and feel but really dislike the flat rooftop.. that takes a bit of ancient but not really 60's like..

History of Magic Museum Modular Building

Supported! I really like both interior and exterior. I love the inverted corner and the fact that it is 16 stud wide, we miss 16 wides.. And also bravo for the well reconstituted illusions, you did a fantastic job!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Disappointing for me as well, got the sydney opera and don't know what to do with it.. Big Ben is a good parts bag, so I can reuse it, but the Taj Mahal jus't won't make it for me.. The eiffel tower would have been something I could have reused n my town.. As far as modular, I am not a fan of post office or police station (we have DO for that), but would be more interested in something more original.. like a video tape renting and appartment combo, or one of these magnificient condo - we definitely need more space to host our minifigs :-)
