LDD custom parts help
Rustinidiel replied to Newest_Tech320's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
a lot of people are usign this version... because the 4.3.12 is bugged... anyway, you must set the "ghost folders" to be shown, as written into the instructions -
Custom LDD bricks and fixes
Rustinidiel replied to Equilibrium's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
i've tried to make a render with bluerender and i've seen a custom part i used is missing in the render... the part is "35787 tile modified 2x2 triangular" maybe is a bluerender problem with only this part or with all new "custom" parts? P.S.: i've checked now with blueprint for the instructions... and if my model contains one new "custom" part, the software doesn't show me any instruction step... is all empty -

the 20201105 link doesn't work, so for now i'm using the github (with the parts errors) i found anyway one strange thing about the "35044 plate 4x4 with arch" is i use 4 of these parts i can make a 6x6 round hole... but if i try to put inside a "11213 plate 6x6 round" it cant be placed... maybe for some ghost collision? when the 20201105 link will be restored, or if a new version will be released... what i need to do? i must only erase all the file i've previous placed from the github zip files and than place the files of the new pack? (i ask it to not have in future the "unknown categories" with the red question mark) Anyway, thanks... really thanks a lot for your awesome work! i've tried some other designer software, but for me the best choice is the LDD... sadly never more updated by Lego... so thanks to all who are working to mantain this software "updated"!!! -
my original inspiration is the Expanded Universe (Legacies now?) "Phase III Dark Trooper" https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Phase_III_dark_trooper

the engines and the wings not touch the ground when the ship is landed... there is always a gap from the ground another thing i forgot to say, as you can see, in this version the wings can be rotated in vertical position i not simply added those new details on the old version... i rearranged completelly the structure to can integrate them as a new one project i hope you guys like this new style

Rogue_Shadow by Rusty B. hi all, this is my last work, a commissioned design about the Rogue Shadow starship seen in "The Force Unleashed 2" videogame. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Rogue_Shadow Lego made one original set about the first version of the ship, but the commissioner wanted an original design of the second version of the model. ofcourse i rescaled the proportion, because the original one is a big ship, instead i made a starfighter with this design. Rogue_Shadow by Rusty B. Rogue_Shadow by Rusty B. the wings can be opened for the "flight mode" and closed for landing Rogue_Shadow by Rusty B. the retractable landing gear substain perfectly all the ship weight and in closed mode are totally hidden Rogue_Shadow by Rusty B. Rogue_Shadow by Rusty B. the cockpit can be easly opened through the shape of the "mandibles" and at the back there is a storage space that can fit inside a complete lightsaber and 2 blaster... more pics on my Flickr What do you think about this creation? if someone wants the instructions, contact me in private.. as always, comments, opinions, criticism are very welcome! with your feedback i can improve my design skills

Thanks a lot for your appreciacion i've finished the instructions about a modded version of this ship... i named it "Rogue X", is a version with high modified engines and some other details Rogue_X by Rusty B. Rogue_X by Rusty B. Rogue_X by Rusty B. more images on my Flickr

thanks for your appreciacion, it means a lot for me! i'm working on a version with automated mechanism inside to let the figs moving a bit... as a carillon... but i dont know if i will reach that goal
-
that is the same link i posted in the first post... and it is the inspiration of my work... with that instruction you cant build my version of each Deathstar, or the diorama's version if someone is interested into my instructions... the only way (untill i will open my own site) is contacting me in PM
-
you mean in that scale or with this sphere as the center of the trade federation core ship? for all who are interested, i've finished the instructions of the Death Star II with diorama!
-
for all interested users.... i've finished the instructions of the Death Star 1 now i'm working on the Death Star 2, and after it i'll make the instructions of the diorama versions

here there are the modifications by your suggestions: i've changed the color of the jumper tiles and grilles, and modified the trench details... i think now the trench is less visible (as color impact, and maybe only in the render) but looks more detailed... anyway i mantained the plates with rails.... Death_Star by Rusty B. Death_Star by Rusty B. i like a lot those modifications... so, thank you! and for your "taste", the design looks better now?
-
ofcourse your suggestion is your opinion... but i think opinions can help imagination, so, i will try to do the things suggested and later i value if i like them or not :) i think the trench is a must... the original Death Star is made by 2 hemisphere with a trench in the middle.... as i said, i not usually work in this scale... but i dont want renounce about details
-
i used the plates with rails as "obligatory choice" to have a trench of 1 stud high... because i not found another way to have a 1 stud trenc in the middle of a 4 stud high plate... if you got a suggestion to not use all those plates with rails, thanks... for the "middle band" you are right, some studs would give a more believable shape to the trench... maybe some "non continous" studs... for the dish... a 5 wide not exist, for this i preferred to use the 6 wide... for me a dish little more big is better on the overall shape than the 4 wide... and lets to make a complete turbolaser rays system... i can try to replace the ark bluish grey grilles and tiles with stud to obtain a more natural shape for the scale of this Death Star... i'll work on those changes by your suggestions, and than i'll post the result... anyway, thanks a lot for your opinion and suggestion! rarely i work on that scale, so i appreciate a lot the suggestion of other designers to improve my model and my ability above all...

"love to see the plan of this" i not understand what you mean... thanks a lot or your appreciation! and yes, all the minifig are connected by a floor stud and in that position stay inside perfectly with he DS panels closed... only in DS1 the Emperor throne need to be rotated to let the panels to be closed... for the instructions, i send to you a PM... and i will check Rebrickable to understand how it works... sadly i had a lot of problem in my real life, so my own website is already under construction,,,
