  2. Thank you Edwin. I'll take you up on your kind offer when the time comes.
  3. Welcome back . Don't worry, you're amongst friends so go ahead and post your list & pics.
  4. I’d forgotten all about this set. I have it somewhere so might have to dig it out. Thanks for the reminder
  5. I know what you mean. I'm not worried about it as it doesn't seem to have any effect on the ridigity of the chassis. I snuck a few extra pins in where I could though just in case
  6. Thank you my Friend, you're very kind. I'm not really sure why but progress has been slower on this build than almost any other I can think of. Mind you, it's a great build that I'm having a lot of fun with so I guess the longer it takes the longer the enjoyment
  7. Today’s Building time 5hrs 20mins - Total build time 45hrs 50mins With today being free of appointments etc., I was out to the shed nice and early in the hope of getting as much done as possible and while I didn’t reach the target stage I’d set for myself I’m pleased to have gotten as far as I have. The only real problem today was with the smallest of pieces, the trans red cheeses. I’ve had problems every time I’ve encountered these little buggers and there were hundreds of the flipping things, well 12 anyways. They took almost an hour and forty minutes to fit. As you'll probably know, their wedge shape makes it a job to put pressure on them without them shooting off, I nearly choked to death (possible overdramatisation ) on one after it flew back into my throat while I was trying to squeeze it into place with my teeth. Suffice to say I didn’t die and so will be back building very soon. Today’s pics.
  8. You've turned an ugly duckling into something of a swan. Very nice job. Good luck in the competition.
  9. That’s good to hear. They look great. For the life of me I don’t know why LEGO chose to equip the Bugatti with rims that stand proud of the tyres. Did they learn nothing from the 8671 Ferrari 430 Spider which had the same problem albeit with its wheel covers.
  10. +2 I’d buy it today. This is a terrific little build and as others have commented, it’s very reminiscent of the 851. Really well done.
  11. I have the ship's drawings so have all the needed measurements. I'm definately going to give it a go one day.
  12. I totally agree. It’s even more annoying when you can’t use or feel your hands and so ‘stab’ at the screen hoping you hit the right button at the right time. Then there’s the wondering why your model isn’t doing what you’re asking of it and looking down to see your fingertip sliding across the laptray rather than the touchscreens slider you placed it on . Annoyances aside, using a touchscreen to control a model is, for me anyways, infinitely preferable to having no control at all .
  13. For years those of us with needs different to most have been unable to ‘play’ with our PF equipped Technic builds as we couldn’t use the joystick. The advent of the Sbrick and BuWizz changed all that, albeit at a price, so personally I’m very happy about the Control+ system and its out of the box use of a smartphone rather than a physical joystick. This just my opinion relative to my situation.
  14. I'd ask for pictures but I don't a telling off from the Sheriff
  15. I’m not sure my 6ft build table would be big enough but it’d be great to give it a go one day. It’d dwarf my Ultimate 42009
  16. Just when I've seen it all you come up with a whole new level of crazy. I love it!
  17. I’m tempted. Very tempted.
  18. I think this is such a great way to show both the beauty of the model and its inner workings. Nice work.
  19. I so much want my GT3 to be the best it can be but the thought of getting much of what I’ve already built disassembled...
  20. Great work Edwin. This looks like it might be a good scale to try building my much missed Euplecta. One day.
  21. It’s going to be an expensive Autumn.
