Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've just looked through @bbrousong's profile and they seem to have been hinting at a Diagon Alley set for a while, but I don't know if that makes them more or less credible. Personally I'd be very surprised if a Diagon Alley set was that big. I remember the last one was about a £130ish and that had 3 substantial buildings back then. Would this new one at double the price have the same amount of buildings but bigger and more detailed or could we expect 4-5 (Ollivander's, Gringotts, Borgin and Burkes, Weasley's Wizards Wheezes and then either the owl emporium or Leaky Cauldron) . -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That would be so great if there was a subtheme like that! The new Lioness safari set is really cool but it seems out-of-place in how there are no similar sets. Being able to have different zoo sets for different continents would be so fun; you could have an arctic section, an Aquarium, a bird sanctuary, Africa of course and maybe even more out-there animals like Pandas or anything from South America or Australia.- 2901 replies

Ah that sounds interesting, I don't suppose the text said anything new? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Darth Shadowthrone replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just seen the sales figures for Lego in 2019 and apparently Disney was one of the other well-performing themes outside of the top 6. Are all the Princess sets and Ideas/D2C counted under the same broader theme? I wasn't sure the CMF sold that well as there were still loads for months afterwards but I wouldn't be surprised if we got another one for the autumn (perhaps with surefire popular franchises like more Frozen characters?) -

Oops, I was sure they were blue Death Watch Mandalorians but I've gone back and checked and they're actually 501st Jet Troopers, I wasn't expecting that as I haven't seen them with jet packs before. My mistake! And yeah, those starships in the space battle must be Z-95s, I'd forgotten about those. -

I'm pretty sure they are going to be, in the Season 7 trailer there's shots of soldiers with jet packs fighting the Droids on a bridge and Mandalorian starfighters in a space battle -
LEGO Ninjago 2020
Darth Shadowthrone replied to GarmaFan's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Do you mean like this? If so I hope not, they're interesting designs but most of them are a bit too steampunk for me. Hopefully they're closer to the skeletons in the first Ninjago wave with pure fantasy designs. -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow thanks for sharing that, he looks really cool. His torso looks a little bit weird but maybe that's because it's meant to the old-timey Hogwarts uniform. Unfortunately if they're including him here it's likely that there's no Chamber of Secrets on the horizon any time soon. However, they released Ollivander in a promo in 2018 and he could still turn up in a set someday so never say never. -

I wonder if this makes Fantastic Beasts sets more or less likely next year. This is wild speculation but it seems to me that Lego were possibly weighing up making Fantastic Beasts sets as a tie-in for next year but decided against it so decided to have the much less costly option of a few minifigures to tie into the film instead. This would be a shame as I would really like a Zouwu in Lego but hopefully this means we're more likely to get a Phoenix or Swooping Evil attached to a minifigure. -

Damn this is very surprising. Is there any record of such an upheaval happening with any CMF series before? -

I wish but sadly it seems too long gone. That said I can't wait to try and make a custom Eowyn figure from the Battle of Pelennor Fields -

Does anyone else think that the new pirate hat-hair combo was designed with the upcoming Ideas pirate set in mind? Another user mentioned how it could be recoloured with a white ponytail and I definitely think there’ll be at least two figures with the hat in the pirate set. -

Just seen the closer up picture and I think you're right. Hopefully the helmet doesn't stick out too much with a beard underneath it, I'm definitely going to get multiples of that figure and try out different combinations -

The vikings beard and helmet definitely looks like one mould to me. I was a bit confused by his face but it looks like there's a gold plate on the front with eye holes! That's very cool. The Pinata boy, Red Ranger and Llama outfit are surprisingly standouts for me - that Llama especially looks really good! The Guitarist, Green Brick and Rabbit girl are really boring designs tho. Also disappointed by the Lady Pirate as I thought she was going to be more colourful, she actually looks quite plain. -

That’s exciting, we haven’t had a new sword piece since Lord of the Rings! Looks like that one and the Viking will be definite buys -

I know licensed series are a controversial topic for some CMF fans but honestly I’m really glad they are a thing - imagine if there were 3 series like this every year where it was all a bit meh and there was nothing that really make them stand out. At least licensed CMFs bolster excitement, even if it’s for a smaller part of the Lego fan base. -

My mistake, I think I was thinking about speculation a few pages back about one of the two August sets from a while back being at a lower price range. I have now edited the comment. Thanks for raising that point. -

Drat that's really disappointing! It looks like this series will only be interesting to me for the historical figures and new animal. -

Thank you very much for sharing this information with us. I know you've said about centaurs but are there any mythological/supernatural figures? Such as the recent Ghost Knight, Monkey King, Ice Queen or Faun? -

No the D2C is still an unconfirmed rumour that no trustworthy leaker has validated. The two August sets are £100 and another one whose price is still unknown. -

Could the space chimp work with the same head mould as Dryden's guards from the At-Hauler set? That way they could print the goggles on -

I read somewhere else on here that the sets shown at NYC will only be 1HY, from the first half of the year, but I don't know if that goes up to April or May. I doubt the sets will be very spoilery so they might be shown earlier -

Allosaurus is also one of my favourites, ever since the Diplodocus episode of Walking with Dinosaurs. If that or a Spinosaurus are ever in a set I would have to get it aha. -
