Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah there was, it came in the first CMF series as the damaged version. They could make an undamaged variant but then it’s just a black book which is a bit plain. And as another user has said we’ve already got both the Monster book and the Half Blood Prince’s book in this CMF. -

Personally I think it's possible to read too much into the different leg sizes by year. I mean we've gotten both short legs and mid-legs to represent third years, all of which were for the main characters! And then a second year Neville had mid legs while Draco had short legs in the cmf. The Lego designers clearly don't seem to be aiming for a proper consistency with the whole theme together but instead seem to be going from wave to wave picking whichever fits. I feel like they'll only have different leg sizes if they want one character to be clearly shorter than the other, so we'll get mid-legs for this wave for all the main students (including Ginny and Luna despite them being a year younger) just so kids won't get confused about the size difference. Maybe that's why Wormtail didn't have mid-legs, so that kids didn't get confused thinking he was meant to be a teenager. -

Yeah I got the one from the CMF, I just meant him being included this year as well as normal version for the people who missed the CMF -

I agree, HBP is one of my least favourite films and apart from the cave and the burrow I just don’t think there’s much exciting potential for sets. I’m sure the Astronomy Tower will look really good but the lack of the big final fight with the Death Eaters that the film omitted means its less interesting to me. That being said, I’m glad OotP is getting at least two good sets and I’m pretty sure the other August set will be the ministry because I doubt there would be two £100 half blood prince sets at the same time. That would also fill the absence of Gambon’s Dumbledore, which the Burrow would not. Fingers crossed! -

I've just looked online and it looks like there's no source material for a baby Ankylosaurus from the films or games so I wouldn't be surprised if this Bumpy is included as a bit of cross-promotion. It looks very cute and I like it's colour scheme so hopefully it will be! -

That goblin looks really fun, I like how medieval-ly it looks. Hopefully that aesthetic continues into the sets! I'm assuming it will have a more evil-looking alternative face as well. I was going to ask if there was any chance the trolls could be bigfigs but have just looked back at the leaked boxes and they all look like normal-sized minifigures (except what looks like two with short legs in the Mino beast and Wu's dragon sets). I guess at least the trolls will be taller than the goblins and with a different skin colour to tell them apart. -

It definitely seems a bit smaller, especially without the gimmick £10 sets it was initially rumoured with -

What if the shops are connected like the micro version to create an entire street (even if it's inaccurate). Also I definitely think the Leaky Cauldron would be included on one end with Gringotts on the other and then Borgin and Burkes disconnected so it's like a different street. I could also see smaller buildings for the Quidditch Shop and the pet shop (maybe even the Book Shop tho I don't know if that will be as visually interesting). Minifigures I think will definitely be included are: two Goblins, Ollivander, Fred and George, Tom the Inkeeper and the trio. If it's based on Half Blood Prince (which would make sense considering the timing of the set with this wave) I could then see Greyback and Death Eaters being included for Ollivander's abduction and Draco's initiation, as well as Draco himself. Also very wishlisty but I could definitely see a Gringotts playset next year similar to the Room of Requirement this year which is an interior set not designed to fit with the Gringotts in the Diagon Alley D2C. It could have the trio with their disguises, Griphook and Bogrod and the white dragon. -

Apparently he’s got the same design as Ares and Giant Man which is an interesting choice. I think how good he looks depends on what the faceprint looks like. -

I think a similar situation would be the Ice Age creatures from the arctic line, whose situation was left ambiguous. They could always frame the situation as the protagonists trying to rescue it while it was still alive. That’s a really good point, it’s a really tantalising thought that pictures of the other figures could be out there! I really hope we don’t have to wait too long to see them, tho from what I’ve seen only one or two figures usually leak from factories (with the DC series being an exception) -

Wow that centaur looks fantastic, the hair really suits him! Hopefully the other centaur has a different face print (hopefully with paint like the other user suggested) im curious how Lego could make a Firenze that fits with the OotP centaurs as he’s got a completely different design - maybe just with a bearded face and short curly hair with the same flesh tone. I think there’s a chance he’s in the CMF to reuse the new mould as it would be difficult to fit a centaur on the packet while making it clear what he is. Alternatively, how cool would it be if in a few years there was a Forbidden Forest Set from Philosophers Stone with Harry, Draco, the cloaked Voldemort/Quirrell thing, Firenze AND a unicorn?! Fantasy fans would probably go nuts having both of those in a set. -

Someone has already seen the set at an event and confirmed that all the Dursley’s are included, with six minifigures in total. Lego are very generous with their minifigure counts in this series! however the CMF could still come with Aunt Marge -

I still appreciate Dobby getting a slot as we wouldn't have got dual-moulded legs with him if he came in a set. Also having two slightly-different looking house elf heads that can go to together will be really useful. Also I love your youtube channel, especially the CMF drafts! It's crazy how accurate your HP ideas were. -

I’m not surprised considering how the mould is smaller. It was the same with the wargs and ninjago wolf. Still looks very posable! -

Is that the one with the blue paint? Because that would be a cool print. Did someone on insta say about that? also that would be a great way to distinguish between the two centaurs if one has facepaint and the other does not -

So exciting to see the new centaurs! Finally they’re actually making them! Also I feel like the photo of Dobby is at an unflattering angle. Personally excited to get another one so I can army build house elves (maybe with a different torso) -

The black skeleton looks cool, it’d be nice to see those growing green eyes on the skeleton dragon. The skull sorcerer is not what I was expecting though, his mask looks a little odd with how plain it is. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion

It's annoying that the Knight seems to have the old mold of kite shield, instead of the new larger one: Also I reckon I'll get two each of the Knight and Viking and call it a day, the only other element I'm interested in is the Turtle but I'm sure that will turn up elsewhere. -

My hope is for: Werewolf Lupin with Padfoot Firenze Kreacher Hagrid with Goggles and Baby Harry Someone with a Hufflepuff Torso Lucius with a new mould for his snake-cane Madam Pomfrey with Skelegro However I'm willing to accept this might not be very realistic -

I agree that the Monster Book could have come with another student (preferably one from a different house to Gryffindor). My first choice would be Malfoy in his POA Slytherin robes like the trio from the last series, but at least we’re getting him in the Astronomy Tower Set (hopefully in uniform). -

So so so exciting! I'm so glad this series looks like it's still coming out this year! As the Harry minifigure is from HPB I definitely think a quidditch Ron minifigure is likely, with a printed quaffle or a snitch mould thrown in just because. Also although that Dumbledore is most accurate to Chamber of Secrets he would really fit with a Privet Drive setup for the opening scene. Hopefully we get a Lego baby Harry at some point although the only figures I think that would fit with would be Lily Potter or Hagrid, who I doubt we can expect from a CMF series. Also with the inclusion of Kingsley I think we can definitely expect Tonks, either in this series or a (completely a guess from me) Ministry Battle set in August. I'm still gonna hold out hope for another exciting magical character like Kreacher, Firenze or Werewolf Lupin for the minifigure series as well. Honestly with how amazing these figures look and the exciting sets lineup Lego are completely spoiling us with this theme and I am so here for it! -

There's also a lot of great snapshots from the video on the legoleaks instagram page. I think judging by the different colours of the plates you can separate the sets. Looking at this picture for example I think the red section is one set with Baby Bowser, the blue section is an underwater level and the core set with Mario will just be a simple setup with the pipe, flag and Goomba -

At the very least it looks like there's some interesting arm and leg parts for the other brick-built characters. Some of those look quite useful for building other stuff. -

It'll be interesting to see how big the budget of the theme is if it just sets as then they probably won't be able to afford enough new moulds for all the non-humanoid characters, which are what I'm most looking forward to seeing. It would be great if we got some army-builder sets of Goombas and Koopa Troopas, similar as to how there were an army of pigs in the Angry Birds series. If the smaller sets were expansion-style sets with additional power-ups and accessories they could come with non-minifigure characters as well like Goombas or Bombas with extra brick bits to expand on sets. -

Very interesting! I haven't played a mario game in years so don't know what sort of sets we could expect, but does anyone else think we could get a minifigure series?
