We're getting pretty close to the time that official set images release, and there's been no leaked pieces or boxes. Has LEGO cracked down recently?
-
All the end of the Oni trilogy got was a minifigure pack.
-
The set list leaked a while ago. It's in the Lego Ninjago 2022 thread.
-
All Cole got was a scar that disappeared because of the movie. Nya could get markings that look like what she has in her water form. Maybe amnesia, too. That would get fixed eventually, but it'd be something for a while.

So.. snakes again?
-
No, but some of them were placeholder names like Kai Vehicle and Lloyd's car.
-
I'm assuming those are just his guesses based on the names, but obviously they aren't releasing Season 8 Legacy this early. If they're real, most or all of them seem to be for the show wave.
-
I didn't consider the Legacy sets coinciding with the gimmick waves might have meant that before. But being that Ninjago is going to continue for a while, I think they'd run out of settings pretty fast if the seasons were like that as long as Legacy lasts. In the show, there's been a plot involving someone hoarding vengestone in the background for the past couple seasons, and Tommy Andreasen hinted at something involving the police at some point. So, I think whatever comes next will be more grounded.

Not every season needs to have a special setting gimmick. A wave that just takes place in Ninjago would make sense after the past couple years.

I think he got excited and jumped the gun. The site's had exclusive sets before.

There's no episode descriptions, the sixteenth is the last.

I think if anything a "normal" Ninjago season would be one that doesn't revolve around a non-average setting gimmick. Like, S11 is normal because the ninja have been to deserts and snowy places before, but not when they go to video-game land, DnD mountain, or Atlantis.

I've seen better. If they aren't this year and they aren't for next because it's too earlier, they're probablt fake.
-
I wonder if a new movie would be the same continuity as the show or it would mean another new continuity and redesigns.

2026 is the 15th anniversary, so..
-
Oh, wow.
-
Guessing the Fire Dragon and Temple of the Infinite Sea are the villain monster/vehicle and building of the wave.
-
True, but if one of the creators seems to think it's going to continue, there's no reason to start preparing Ninjago's eulogy. It'll end when it ends, but that doesn't seem to be any time soon. For now.
-
People always think "we've worked up to X year" means "it's ending X year". Ninjago could continue for another decade, and the creators will still only confirm that it will continue for another two years at least because they don't know anything beyond the point they're working on.

It's encouraging that he answered that at all, but by itself "can" doesn't mean much. He can do a lot of things. If he wants to.

March of the Oni wasn't always meant to exist. Originally, Hunted was the end of the arc.
-
So, Golden Wu's body is just Kai's reused. That's lame.

There were signs of Ninjago going in this direction in 5 and 6, but yeah, Ninjago's definitely been going in more of a "theme-of-the-week" direction since after SotFs. If they have a theme that's already successful, why risk money on an unproven new theme when they can just use that idea to keep the old theme going? An apocalyptic theme, an old west theme, a Steampunk theme, a space theme? That's four potential Ninjago waves. Speaking of which, why don't they do two waves instead of only half a year? Like, Prime Empire is 2020 and Master of the Mountain is 2021 instead of being in the winter and summer of 2020 respectively.

We have a sky Bounty, land Bounty, and a water Bounty. Next up, the Space Bounty. It's inevitable.
