  1. Hello... I am currently using Mac app (LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 HOME EDITION) for learning/programming my Mindstorms EV3... I am thinking to buy an iPad for my son to learn programming the EV3 - is iPad app the same like mine on Mac? What would be the differences? Thank you... Marko
  2. I have bought Mindstorms for my 9year old son, so he has made the Track3r, which is cool, but then we didn't quite knew what to do next... We could make other premade models, but I thought that isn't quite that interesting... Then I have grabbed the Valk's EV3 Discovery Book, and I must say it is amazing. The things became more and more fun, I am learning now to add sensors... Just to say - I miss somewhat a tip from LEGO for ordinary buyers, like - buy the Valk's book and start learning or something like that... Because there are a lot of tutorials on YT and all sorts of blogs online, the man could not know where to start. The Valk's book is easy to understand and deep enough to start programming... Marko
  3. Thank you, Mr. Jonatan, I thought it was a mistake after making that research steps backwards in the instructions... Mr. Lipko, I have made this topic because I didn't knew if it is a problem or not, if that's the thing of a mistake in the instructions as Jonatan said, then I won't worry... The thing is I am always very careful with building that big set, because it can become very tricky solving problems backwards... I will continue building now...
  4. I think the LEGO made it wrong in tutorial. That although never happaned, so... The problem is, in my model, just like those 2 upper grey axles aren't symmetrical, they are mirrored, in my model also those problematic small 2L liftarms are not on the same side, one is on the front, one on the rear. I think that must be because of that, in the step 40, I was cerating 2 identical absorber parts which one of them then I would turn like on a step 41, to make it like on a tutorial and then in my case also those problematic small 2L liftarms are not on the same side. The problem is, on the tutorial, all along the way from this step, the 2L liftarms are pictured on the same side, like that: So because I know LEGO is very precise, I can't believe, there is a mistake in tutorial? Also I don't want to make it wrong and see a problem at step 768 :)
  5. I am at step 199 and I have noticed one mistake that I have made... The brick on the left side, which I have mark with red color, is not present in the book at step 199. On the other hand - on the right side I made it OK, the same brick is on the "opposite" side, so mi sides aren't symmetric... Any way to solve this without going backwards too much? Thank you...
  6. Hi all... With 42070 6x6 - I find problematic step 297 - it is impossible to assembly new part without put the red one off first - but that is not indicated in the manual... Am I right that it is OK to pull the red one off first and then back? Thanx....Marko EDIT: Sorry guys - I found the solution myself - in the step 285 I turned the red part upside down in the wrong way... Thank you anyways, I enjoy building this one instead of some bad critics which I generally find too much intense in this particular set - It is awesome - but I get it for the much lower price, little above 150 € which is awesome.... Marko
  7. Than you... Is servo the only one for steering?
  8. Hello, In previous post I asked for help, so I make a little research and know about PF parts in more details now... My new question would be How to make the simplest PF-motorized RC Car? I isn't nessesery to look like car, I mean just to drive it with remote like RC car and to learn about PF creations through it... More precisely, which parts should I buy before doing that with my kids? I think I will need: motor (L, M, XL, servo, just one ore more?) IR receiver (8884?) Remote (8879?) Battery box (what is the difference between AA and AAA boxes? More power? Both do with any motors?) Any ideas or instructions out there? Thanx a lot... Marko
  9. i woul agree... i was just thinking if one component fail over time...:)
  10. Thanx, I know, so far I decided for the next order with my 6andhalf years twins (we are all crazy about Lego, including me): 1. Duplo (age 2-3) 2. City, Creator, Ninjago and all other licensed Legos (age 3-6) 3. Technics and Power Functions (here we are now) 4. Mindstorms - we will buy those later of course... Thanx... I see there are different parts in Mindstorms which I suppose are not selling individually? Marko
  11. Hello, Here I have made a chart of available PF parts as 2016, as I saw in member LXF post... Is that chart OK? I have missed out some things (second version of receiver, rechargable battery box and car base)... https://www.dropbox....S 2016.jpg?dl=0 Question: Why are Mindstorms partts not included in that category? Are in Mindstorms all parts different from that PF parts? Thank you...
  12. Thanx... Can you tell me please also which parts are inside 8293 set exactly? Is it better/cheaperto buy those packeges rather than buy averything alone? Which are the essential parts from Power Functions to buy first? Thanx again... Marko
  13. Hello... I just saw this where a guy have motorized the 60104 airplane...My two boys have a lot of Lego sets, but only 60051 and 60052 are motorized (trains)... As they are bigger, now it's time to go on from all those City, Ninjago, StarWars and other sets to Technic and Power Functions. The truth is, I don't have any experiences with Power Functions. Is there any understandable in-depth guide for beginners, which explains all Power Functions bricks available now in 2016? You know, to be able to motorize different sets o my own...:) Back to the first question, I will be glad, if someone have ay idea how to motorize that airplane... Thanx, Marko
