I've not built any of these things for a while, but I got some new parts recently which just begged to go into a new Secret Weapon... Link to Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe set on Flickr

Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe: Meteor
TooMuchCaffeine replied to TooMuchCaffeine's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks for the comments folks. Glad you like it. -zenn: No, the landing gear doesn't retract. Not quite enough room in the base for the legs. BasOne: I had no idea about the LucasArts game when I built my first of this set - I just thought it was a cool idea for a building theme. Of course, as soon as people started talking about the game I went and looked for source material. Another great place is luft1946.com - a website with images of the REAL secret weapons of the Luftwaffe. Well worth a look if you're interested in this sort of stuff. -
This is a small-scale test for a steampunk SHIP I've been planning for a while now. I've got all the Bricklink orders in, I just need to set aside some time to actually build the thing. Like this small one, the main ship will have one side as a cutaway - showing off various compartments. This ship was only big enough to do an engine room. Hope you guys like it. Flickr link

Cheers guys. Glad you like it. I'm thinking of building the bigger ship in modular sections - so I may post more WIP images as it goes along.

I've been slightly obsessed with chibi-style aircraft builds recently. This one started out steamy, but ended up a little diesely - hence "Steisel". Hope you like it. Flickr link

Building round castle tower- need idea or suggestion
TooMuchCaffeine replied to Lego Otaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Here's a technique for larger towers. It won't create a perfectly round tower, but it looks pretty good. I used it for this... -
The Trinity Aerofighter was the first aircraft to be produced by the Westland Company, later to become famous for their ornithopters. Flickr link Been wanting to get back into the clanky stuff for a while. Thought I'd ease myself back in with a little flying machine. Hope you like it.

Nice. I like it. Particularly the spindly arms and the piece you used for its face.

Great stuff. Fantastic dio. Wish I could have seen this in real life. Nice to see some floating rocks too - not been any of those kicking about for a while. (However, we've got something coming up soon in the LEGO Steampunk group on Flickr that you might like...)

Vote for your favourite Category B entries
TooMuchCaffeine replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
There's some great builds here, but only one of them has an idea behind it that is a decent explanation why all these figs would be in the same place. All 3 of my points go to... 12) TV production studios by gordongordon -

This is excellent. I'd been toying with ideas and sketches for a minifig-scale Nautilus, but you're clearly well on the way to getting this thing together. Great work. I'd thought of building half the ship, with one side showing a cutaway interior of the various rooms etc. Then if you wanted to show the exterior in full you could display it against a mirror. Might be a cheaper way of getting your creation built?

Was mucking about with some micro steampunk today and then spotted that canoe. Had to have a go... Flickr link

I recently caught the tale-end of The Last Samurai on TV. It prompted me to build this. Any feedback would be appreciated. Flickr link

Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated. Daedalus - the leaves are just balancing. This was built for the photo rather than for play!

Here's my latest little microspace build. I'd love to hear what you guys think... Flickr link

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.

Here's a bit of microscale space stuff that I just got finished. Quite pleased with the dome - if I had enough droid arms I'm pretty sure it would make a sphere. Flickr link

Don't really know where this belongs, so I'm going to file it under 'Sci-Fi'... Flickr link

Okay, I know Peter Pan isn't JUST about pirates, but I thought you guys might like this... Flickr link

@Sirens-of-Titan... This was inspired by a tablescrap which became the micro pirate ship. The skull piece immediately looked the right size for Skull Rock in comparison and it all went from there. However, I must have started this and given up about five times before I ended up happy with the whole thing. It feels like the idea's been kicking about in my head and in partial assembly for months!

VOTING: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
TooMuchCaffeine replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This was difficult. So many good entries. I finally decided to spread out my points across all my favourites rather than try to pick fewer... 1 point each to: #3 #10 #13 #20 #27 #32 #38 -
Great stuff. My favourite of the Atlantis-themed entries I think. Maybe missing some sort of creature if it's to properly fit with the theme, but a lovely creation all the same.
