Who‘s gonna care about DoD sets this late in the game except for collectors and hardcore Indy fans? There‘s a reason everyone releases their merch ahead of (or simultaneously with) the release of a movie. The only movies that have recently had sets based on them months or years after their launches were MCU heavy hitters. Also, they used to release more sets post-launch, not the first ones Quantumania has at least the release date shift to blame

I‘m not saying she‘s personally to blame, but Lucasfilm has been turned into a laughingstock with the 10+ Star Wars films that have already been cancelled, and now this nonsense. What a hollow, corporate BS non-explanation

That‘s the biggest IF imaginable I appreciate your optimism, but only 3/8 planned sets releasing doesn‘t exactly scream „more sets are coming next year“ to me. In my mind, it‘s over.

What other evidence is there though? According to all the leakers, it‘s been cancelled rather than delayed And the DoD sets don‘t fare much better based on what we know. Nah. This would be like only having the Great Hall, the Aragog, and Quidditch sets on shelves, with the Hogwarts Express getting leaked, but cancelled along with all the other HP and FB sets that year. And none of the 2019-2023 stuff existing That giddyness was killed a coupla weeks ago.

Well, I usually couldn’t care less either. However, my only hope for the DoD sets rested on an official announcement hinting at them, and that hope has now been dashed Just pitiful how this has been handled.

And of course, no peep of DoD anywhere. Whoever is responsible for the handling of this trainwreck should be deeply ashamed of themselves. Congrats, you managed to completely kill my anticipation of the new movie! Not sure if I even want to see it anymore at this point. Time to focus my attention on themes that actually deserve it

While budgets have been relocated between themes before (like the Harry Potter 2018 wave that took some of the Jurassic World 2018 budget of that year), the Big Bang themes always receive a huge budget of their own. Fir instance, Marvel still had a lot of new parts in 2021 despite the insane amount of new or recoloured pieces Vidiyo introduced

Yes, I have a dedicated room. For the licensed themes, that is. The rest is in the living room, the hallways, a storage room, and the bedroom I just wish this theme continued into 2024 so we could get another chance at a set with Short Round and Willie (like a remake of the Shanghai Chase set), but that isn’t likely at all. They’re barely releasing anything in a year WITH a new Indy movie coming, so fat chance we get anything in a year without one

Hard to believe, I know I can prove it though Still trying to figure out what to use the other shelves for. Avatar won‘t be getting any additional sets until early 2025 I assume and I like to keep all sets of the same theme in close proximity Maybe I’ll move the PotC sets or something

@DrHenryJonesJr: If there is no hint towards DoD in the reveal, I won‘t believe in the existence of these sets anymore. They‘re already on shaky ground as is. My shelf space is too valuable to keep unoccupied for sets that will never see the light of day
