[MOC]Battlefront Sullust Turbolaser(LDD+Prototype)
Lucifer replied to Lucifer's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, I building a small Sullust diorama for my AT-ST. This is what I currently have, but I am going to replace that completely. Turbo laser will go on the left, AT-ST Right and in the center will be a new bunker entrance based on markus1984s fantastic builds, which I am currently prototyping with old bricks:- 12 replies

It be happy if they would just release a battlepack containing some regular non Rebels Stormtroopers and maybe a Scout Trooper and a Sandtrooper or Imperial Officer(a proper one not the crewman version from the Battlefront pack)
-
It doesn't look like an AT-PT at all, are you sure you don't mean the AT-DP from rebels? Because that has more in common with yours. EDIT: Nevermind I should have read your post and not just looked at the pictures.
-
True it does add a little more strain onto the joint. I guess that could cause issues if you use the non reinforced version of the brick 57910 rather than 62712

(click for full size images) EDIT: Pictures of the final Version bellow EDIT: Rebrickable Page LDD files: https://www.mediafire.com/file/3z9dkfxztc9h22c/TurbolaserMinifigClosed.lxf/file The Long thing in the gun is a rigid cable which has to be cut to size so only about 1 mm of it sticks out of the front of the barrel(see the images of the prototype bellow). Is there any way to set custom lengths for rigid cables in LDD? The gun can be turned 360°and also can swivel up and down All lower side panels have different patterns, but those aren't visible due to the way LDD renders. I am trying to get LDD2POV-Ray to work to get some better renders. The sloped brick bellow the turret is supposed to be the gunners targeting display. I plan on using part 85984pb077 for that. Prototype: A prototype I build with parts from my collection. Obviously the colors are wrong and not even most of the parts are correct. I plan on making some better renders and creating a rebrickable site soon. EDIT: replaced expired download link

Nice! Will be perfect with one of the new official ones, then one will have the goggle on the helmet :D(unless they only did that ingame) I also though some more about those low friction ankle and head joints. I found a solution that while using non Lego parts is invisible and completely reversible: I simply placed a small piece of rubber sheet in each socket(without glue), this increases the friction making the whole thing more stable.

[MOC] Star Wars Battlefront - Battle on Sullust
Lucifer replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is awesome! I am currently thinking about making my own Sullust Diorama for the AT-ST(anothergols version) I just build. You wouldn't happen to have an LDD of that bunker? Or at least some in progress photos which show how the bunker walls are made?- 48 replies

Well it was easier for me to pose it if the feet don't slide around :D No, didn't have them, had to order them from a different seller since the once I got most parts from didn't have them. So they cost me 16.80€ with shipping, I might have let my perfectionism win out over my wallet in this case. EDIT: Made a simple Sullust diorama for it :D
-
No, that is just speculation on my part. Honestly I don't care much as this MOC just looks way better. I might just get a single one of the new pilots and retrofit oneof my curent pilots as I have done in the photo above. Also here is my solution to make it more stable and easier to pose:
-
Considering you can see the pilot sitting behind the left eye in the leaked photo I am pretty sure it will fit 2 pilots, but i guess they will only include one anyway :/
-
You could just buy a officer from 75134 and turn him into an AT-ST pilot with the head of the old one and some black hands like so: BTW I bricklinked it and just finished building it! It is amazing(and pretty huge!)! Large pictures
