Hello, please forgive my grave ignorance on the matter of redcoats vs bluecoats, but I need to clarify this to avoid blunders in the future. I tried searching but could find no direct information on the nature / background of the different factions that back up the usage of them in many mocs. It's clear from many MOCs that Redcoats and Bluecoats are enemies. Are there some background information available where I can learn more about the factions and the conflicts? 1) Is it as simple as "England vs France" analogies? 2) Or is the fact that Bluecoats are the oldest of the factions and thereby the "young dumb masses of redcoats" are put up against the hardened veterans of the Bluecoats? 3) Some work may hint that the Bluecoats are simply another division / class within the large empires forces? Or is this just the work of ignorant builders (like me) meddling in the great conflict? 4) And maybe, just maybe, there is a much deeper link between ones true alignment and the factions. So that all people ultimately belongs to the bluecoat or redcoat camp even if they have never even touched a piece of LEGO? Technically (and clearly only a sidenote in this context) I understand that the "Bluecoats" are the "Imperial Soldiers" from the 89-93 era. While the "Redcoats" are the Imperial Guard from the 92-94 + 2009 era. Both only sided as the enemies of the Pirates, and have never occurred together in LEGO "prime fiction"? Brickipedia reference: Imperial Guards / Imperial Soldiers Thank you for all and any information that can help clarify a confused mind.

Another childhood dream instantiated: This is the hub for Space police operations in a sector. Hosting both medical facilities, prison and interogation systems and life support for long term deployment, the Sector command is a self sustained law-enforcing platform. Standard setup includes 2 x 6986 - Mission Commander ships as well as two deployable NT3 Sentinel platforms for guarding and blockading operations + smaller ships. The ship carries 3 standardized prison modules and have two landing platforms for medium size ships (6781 SP Striker) and a docking bay for shuttles and smaller crafts (6886 Galactic Peace Keeper). The strengt of the ship is it's deep space scanning systems which makes for a large coverage area. [About the MOC] I've been working for this for a while, and it was finished back in november, but it's hard to take pictures of this model, so I've put it of for a long time. My previous moc : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62601 inspired me to try for something bigger. [images]

Awesome build! Pure inspiration in this. It's time for me to build another SP moc

Very nice ship!

What an impressive collection of inspiring MOCs!!! My brain itches to get started on a new project now.

Looking forward to see this in real bricks. From your drawings, I'm sceptical to the structural integrity of such a huge ship. But I hope I'm wrong and that we will get too see this soon.

Cool ship. Very well executed neo-space-police. Inspiring to see more Space Police 1 builders.

Great! I keep scrolling up and down enjoying the pics. You should try with a black background or photoshop in a starscape.

I love it !!! Now I want to see it in-real-bricks.

[pid][/pid]209D As with my first MOC, this MOC was inspired by a great LEGO set. 10210 - Imperial Flagship. When I built the set I felt that such a fine ship needed a home port, and so the project started. It started out as a 2 x 48by48 + 4 x 32x32, but ended up as 4 x 48by48 + 18 32by32. As with most projects that grow out of their original bounds there are some issues, but all in all I'm pleased with the result. I'm a new builder and I struggle to bring the life and vibrancy to the buildings and environment as some of you pro builders in here manage. Here are some pictures From the sea From the landside From above Bussy docks Awesome engraving by Matija Puzar Awesome engraving by Matija Puzar Barracks Commanders house The inn "The golden cock" Merchant Merchant Private home Wealthy home Wealthy home Semaphore tower Girls admiring the soldiers The battle hardened bluecoat veterans are in charge of the walls Bluecoat guncrew Bluecoat commander

Thanks for all the nice words. It was meant to be a telescope... Thank you for adding it to the index. Appreciated. It was under construction for some 4 months. But actual build time, I'm not sure. I'm a father of 2 so days, weeks and months can pass between LEGO time. Also a lot of time was spent waiting for Bricklink orders to complete. If all the parts were available and I just kept building, I'd say it's something like 1-2 weeks build time. As I mentioned in the original post, it grew far beyond the original plans, and every expansion led to some steps backwards to make it look like one piece.

Very nice moc that put a smile on my face. Good use of colours. Keep it up.

Very nice micro scale city. I like the look&feel. I'm impressed you can get so much variation and still hold true to the theme.

This is fantastic. Great atmosphere (pun intended) ! I love the look and feel of your MOCs, you really know how to mix colours!
