What does everyone like to do with the Lego sets they buy?

Build and then display. I display relevant sets together (like all recent Hoth sets, all recent Endor sets, 1999-2001 Classic Star Wars) for a while, rotate the displays every two months, and store the sets I am not currently displaying. Some of the more impressive models are exempt from the display cycle, such as the 10188 Death Star and 10144 Sandcrawler. I use to tear down smaller sets for MOCs, but I'm currently holding an inventory of all incomplete sets to reverse that.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion

The chances of that happening are actually pretty high, seeing as they made sure to include a unique variant of the turtles in each set last year. What else could they possibly do if they continued this trend?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion

And... now back on topic? The quality of the film really has no relation to the quality of the sets. Any LEGO Turtles is awesome, and I'm hoping that we have the chance for figures closer to the original Mirage comics. We don't know much about the movie so discussion about set and figure design at this point is complete conjecture.

    Future Star Wars Sets

Oh, that sounds frightfully plausible. I would much rather get the ISD with normal figures and OT details, but I guess getting a Rebels version is better than getting no version at all...

Or even makes a feature where they can be locked in flight mode and not subject to gravity. That would be very useful for display!

    Episode VI - "The End"

Fantastic MOC. I am especially impressed with the greebling on the surface of the Death Star II and all the fantastic story details (the Imperial Shuttle, the Super Star Destroyer). I feel that it would be even better if you included minifigs from the new Ewok Village (mainly Leia), however, the current ones you feature get the job done.

    Future Star Wars Sets

I imagine that LEGO would split this up into two sets. I mean, they even split up Jabba's Sail Barge with the skiff and Sarlacc. I highly doubt that they would suddenly release two completely independent vehicles in one set. But hey, I could be wrong.

    Future Star Wars Sets

I'm surprised they haven't given Obi-Wan a starfighter. But as I recall, isn't the astromech located on one of the wings? How would LEGO put a full figure there? Yoda's Hut could work: Yoda's Hut ($30-40): Luke Skywalker (Dagobah), Yoda, R2-D2, and Darth Vader (Illusion). Includes Yoda's Hut with interior and Dagobah scenery with various functions.

    Future Star Wars Sets

See, I disagree. I might really want a UCS AT-AT, but it just isn't practical given how big and detailed it would have to be. It would probably be well over 4000 pieces to do correctly. And seeing how they rejected the Cuusoo UCS Sandcrawler for that very reason (immense size and detail), I don't think we'll see a UCS AT-AT for a while.

    Future Star Wars Sets

I know it's not necessarily needed, but seeing as it's been four years, they're bound to release ANOTHER one... AT-AT Walker ($120)-Luke Skywalker (pilot), Rebel Trooper, General Veers, AT-AT pilot, Snowtrooper (x2). AT-AT walker includes a two seated cockpit with controls for the pilot and a sticker hologram of Darth Vader for General Veers. Also includes an opening midsection with a pull-out plate that features four seats and a gun rack.

    The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy

Hi, I'd like to join the Academy. I need some major help with taking better pictures and downsizing the length of the review itself. I have loads of complete sets and am definitely eager!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

I second this (and accidentally subconsciously ripped off your idea in the Future Star Wars topic, sorry ). On a different note, I wish that the battlepack would have a more diverse selection of minifigures. Perhaps a Death Star Gunner, Stormtrooper, Imperial Guard, and Imperial Officer. But what we're getting is just fine with me.

    Future Star Wars Sets

I think with that it could be possible due to the release of the Death Star Trooper/Imperial Guard battlepack. LEGO has been seeming to focus on Return of the Jedi since 2012.

    Future Star Wars Sets

New idea! Imperial Shuttle ($60)-Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Imperial Shuttle Pilot, Imperial Guard. Includes Imperial Shuttle with wings that change positions by use of gears, landing gear, cockpit with seating for one, and small interior with seating for four.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Boom! I was right, knew it! Also, I noticed Obi-Wan carries one of those staffs Greivous' guards carry. Did he ever wield one of those in the film?

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Whoops! Sorry didn't see that! And isn't it just like Yoshi? A character (or dinosaur in this case) being named after it's species? But in all seriousness, good to know so I don't make a megablocks out of myself next time I'm discussing Revenge of the Sith! Now, to actually further a discussion relevant to LEGO, am I the only one that thinks it's slightly coincidental that another gimmicky device (new spring shooters; before, FX lightsabers) is being introduced around the time of an Episode III heavy wave?

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Although I'm no fan of the PT, I can see how not including Boga would be foolish. However, I would reckon that even in preliminary designs, LEGO would put in a stand-in for the final mold that would become Boga. Also, judging by the box size (shown in one of the preliminary pictures), it doesn't seem to me that Boga would have any room to be featured. Hear me out on this, I know it's a bit bizarre. Wouldn't the box be more of a rectangular shape rather than a small square if Boga were to be included? Where would Boga be on such a tiny box? Finally the price point is what really nails it. $20 back in 2005 might have given us a new mold, but given LEGO's recent history on molds and prices (see Jabba's Palace, Jabba's Sail Barge, the Rancor Pit, Hoth Wampa Cave, etc.), I would imagine the price would be raised to at least $30 with Boga's inclusion. But again, even to an outsider, I can see how not including Boga would be baffling.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

I think he's referring to how some claimed that the game designer was talking about USM Goblin being in a game DLC and not an actual, physical set.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

It'll be interesting to see if the Clone Wars sets all but disappear with the incoming Rebels TV show and the new trilogy. Surely there'll be a huge scale-back, but will they be completely discontinued in the coming years? I think that once Rebels airs, Clone Wars sets will go extinct, but that's just my opinion.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

Thrilled about the Marvel line up! Spider-Man? GOTG? Avengers? X-MEN?! SIGN ME UP! Now will the Spider-Man and X-Men sets be comic based or movie based? Has LEGO required the rights to the Fox X-Men movies? Was it negotiated in during the Simpsons license contract? Only time will tell...

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

I just bought the 75003 A-Wing Starfighter and 75020 Jabba's Sail Barge. The A-Wing is swooshable, accurate, and sturdy. Other than the extreme amount of stickers (I irritatingly didn't line up the front two stickers well), it's a solid set. Jabba's Sail Barge is a lot better than expected. Having collected the other 3 sets in the unofficial "Jabba" line of sets, this was a must buy, though upon initial pictures, I was disappointed to say the least. But having built it for myself, I can say that like the Back to the Future set, the angle portrayed on the box art is awful. The actual set is amazing: the front looks perfect, the sails are nice, everything just looks great. My only reservation is the deck, which can get cramped at times. I would say check this set out, but be forewarned that it will not look complete without the 9496 Desert Skiff.

    Future Star Wars Sets

Great idea, that could replace the small tree and catapult! Two medium sized trees that have the hammer functions. On the top of one, there is a catapult, and on the other, there's an area where the ewok could use the horn that we see at the start of the battle.

It's fine! I'd just like a set with an AT-ST to be completely honest

    Future Star Wars Sets

I'm still fairly angry that we didn't get that Yavin Temple set featured in the Visual Dictionary a couple years back... Who's idea was it to scrap that design? However, if there were to be set based off this iconic locale... Yavin IV Temple ($200)-Luke Skywalker (flight suit), Han Solo (ceremony), Princess Leia (ceremony), General Dodonna, Biggs Darklighter (flight suit), Rebel Technician, Rebel Trooper, R2-D2. Includes a midi scale X-Wing, a small ground crew vehicle, and the Yavin IV Rebel base (with a watchtower overlooking the temple, a ceremony room, a small hanger bay, and a small planning room).
